- It can be easy to lose track of what Pokémon are in which games, and how often they appear, but is there a Pokémon you can Always count on to be there in the roster of whichever game you happen to be playing? Well let's find out as a we dive in a follow every Pokémon through the years to see if they crop up somewhere not only in each generation, but in each of the different versions including remakes (with Let's Go being the only exception...)

Psyduck/Golduck not being water/psychic was the biggest disappointment I ever had with a Pokemon.
Naw golduck is already stat wise bad why give it more weaknesses and a type that has no defensive value and mid offensive value

@@BoltBlades12 It was supposed to be the secondary mascot of Let’s Go but they realized they both would be yellow
Also too much one specific demographic. For a mascot at least.
@@swagkirby3449 i mean to be fair... Eevee is a much more fitting secondary mascot considering Gary, Ash's rival, had one in the anime, and the rival in the Pokemon Yellow Special Pikachu Edition (who for all intents and purposes is meant to be Gary) chose Eevee has his starter

Unfortunately, you're incorrect.
Do you recall the room in Castelia City in which you meet the Name Rater?
Well, in BW, there is also a Hiker NPC in that room, standing there with Gesundheit, his Pikachu, whom you can also talk to.

Fun fact: Psyduck is Junichi Masuda's favorite Pokemon! He love it so much that he originally wanted to make it as Pikachu's counterpart mascot and partner for Let's Go games but ditched that idea because the colors were too similar.
Oh wow! Let's Go Psyduck would be quite a different game!
That explains why it is Misty's signature Pokémon. Not her strongest of course, but you can't even mention Misty without bringing up Psyduck😅❤️.
That might explain the weird typing. I've tried the creature design pokemon-like thing myself and a lot of the early stuff is my favorites but a lot of elements I regret. One of the earliest is a hypnotic parasite that's Poison/Air element. Idk why I didn't make it psychic.
I wonder how much influence he had in Detective Pikachu (the movie), since Psyduck was Lucy's Pokemon
I wonder how he'd like it if Psyduck didn't make it into the next games. :^)
I’m surprised we never got a regional psyduck, magnemite, rhyhorn, or magikarp line. I kinda wanna see these “perfect attendance” Pokémon with a new coat of paint.
Do we count Sandy Shocks as doing something special for Magneton?
@@RoninofCrimsonMaple that is more akin to a convergent species like Toedscool.
@@sableyefan Im aware. I respect any answer relating to it, but despite the dex entries going "Eyo, thats something completely different. Not even on the same biological tract", we all collectively go "Yeah, thats a variant of X"

Me too, they would all look really cool with a new form ngl
Bittersweet fact: Scarlet and Violet are the first games the Gogoat line have appeared in since there literal introduction in X/Y.
True, but Zebstrika had it worse; since it wasn't in ANY regional Dex after Unova until the Indigo Disk!
@@emperorcubone the fact that Blitzle was only obtainable on one single route and that's IT for 13 years is a crime.

I love how Pikachu/Psyduck follow that Mickey/Donald dynamic of having the duck surpass the rodent at times.
That begs the question then; who is the Pokemon Goofy...?
Maybe jigglypuff

I've always liked Donald over Mickey.
@@emperorcuboneGoofy is a dog so we will need a dog like Pokémon. Goofy is also close friends with Mickey since the beginning. We need a dog like Pokémon from Gen 1 with close relations with Pikachu. It could be a fun challenge!
@@emperorcubone It would be cool to try it as a Nuzlock where if the Pokemon dies in one of the games you can't use it in any of the future games. Of course, I'm not saying this is necessary. Just saying another idea.
Man, that Magneton card gave me a huge hit of nostalgia.
One that I'm genuinely surprised didn't show up (that I'm not sure anyone else would immediately think of) is the Gastly line. For some reason, I picture them as a mainstay, with Nintendo defaulting to "we need a ghost Pokemon in this area, put Gastly in"
Besides, in terms of popularity, everything you said about Psyduck's constant presence, if you really think about it, can also be said about Gengar.
The Gastly line has only ever been absent from RSE, every Unova game besides White 1, and ORAS.
The most iconic ghost line by a large margin.
If you didn't include Legends Arceus, Chinchou would actually be one included in the list! Not only was it in every game (minus Arceus), it was even included in EVERY side game thats ever come out since gen 2 except Puzzle Challenge, which is crazy considering it is quite forgettable for some people. I feel lucky because Chinchou is my favourite💖 What wild dedication for this silly light fish :)
It's not in FireRed/LeafGreen, unfortunately.
@@FireFog44 Oh you're right, it can't be found in the wild anyway, though can be traded in. Mixed that up, thanks for correcting me! Still in so many others which is crazy though

Watching this with my massive Psyduck plush because I knew he'd made the cut. Surprised by some of the others though
True loyalty!
that’s the reason gyarados became my most used pokemon, as well as one of my favorite of all time. A super reliable pick that you can evolve by the second gym, and can be used the entire rest of the play through. He even gets dragon dance as a level up move in newer generations. My gyarados even swept Paldea as well. He’s the gift that never stops giving
Psyduck actually makes sense to be in all games as it's Masuda's favorite Pokemon.
That's one of the reasons why Golduck is my all time favorite Pokemon, because you can find it in every single game. I always have Golduck on my team and I'm super happy for it.
Considering how much work would go into this, I feel like you could make this into a series. You would just cover each generation showing us just how far each line can get. Maybe you could show it both with AND without remakes, because then you can see which Gen 5 Pokémon, if any, got through Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea (because obviously none of them were in BD/SP).
You know, that is a good point; without remakes I'm sure others WOULD have made it in, like off the top of my head I know Mimikyu is in Galar and Paldea after Alola, so it would be worth revisiting...
@@emperorcubone I checked, and if you discount remakes then Riolu (and by extension Lucario) makes the cut. Sadly, Cubone is not that omnipresent.

Gen 2: Heracross. That's it if you don't count Blissey. Gen 2 representation has done dirty by GF.
Gen 3: As FRLG is allergic to Pokemon native to Hoenn, Barboach is the closest Pokemon from Gen 3-5 available in all Pokemon games. Also note the Swablu, Ralts, Wingull, Makuhita, Trapinch, Absol, Spheal, Beldum, Shuppet, Luvdisc, Carvanha, Relicanth, Bagon, and Wailmer lines.
Gen 4: To no one's surprise, the Riolu line is the most available Gen 4-debuted Pokemon. Also note the Drifloon, Gible, Hippopotas, Bronzor, and Shinx lines, as well as Bonsly, Weavile, Mamoswine, Honchkrow and Mantyke.
Gen 5: Axew's the most available. Also note the Petilil, Sandile, Roggenrolla, Trubbish, Alomomola, Larvesta, Zorua, Rufflet, and Deino lines.
Gen 6: Sylveon has been available in every individual version since its debut [that can allow Gen 5+ Pokemon]. Also note Klefki and the Phantump, Fletchling, and the forever version exclusives Clauncher and Skrelp lines.

Uh why is let's go excluded due to only having the pokemon that were there during the original games generation (and the meltan line), but BDSP ISN'T excluded, it didn't have any pokemon past gen 5 in there, it didn't even introduce any new ones.
I would have cut out BDSP too, as they are even closer remakes than Let's Go.
Yeah, I'm sure without those ones being so strict we would have seen several from later gens as well...
Legends Arceus would still be a bottleneck. I think the only ones that would get perfect attendance would be the Goomy and Rowlet lines.
BDSP is more remasters than remake

As a person who’s favorite Pokémon is Gyarados, I see this as an absolute win
I knew that the Zubat line was in almost every pokemon game. You could even get Golbat in the black and white post game. Until pokemon Scarlett and violet. I was hoping that the Zubat line would return in the indigo disk. Because I would of imagine that they are some pokemon fans who would want to use Crobat against Kieran. In the end I was disappointed that some of my favorite pokemon didn't return in the Scarlett and violet DLC. Some that I can name are Crobat, Naganadel, and Carracoasta. But most of the other pokemon that I like are in the DLC.
Unfortunately, it didn't. Zubat and Crobat no longer become perfect attendance
@@joseruborioyea I kinda miss always encountering a zubat every time I walked into a cave, hope next gen we will zubat because I actually want to use crobat 🥲
It feels weird that you count third games as counting towards their appearance, but you don’t count black and white two as counting towards you Unovan appearance. I know it would probably massively expand the list but it still feels weird.
BW2 is a lot more different compared to BW1 than the usual third versions (or USUM) tend to be. Doesn't seem quite right to include those to me
Third games are typically an expansion of the first two (basically, DLC) while BW2 are full on sequels.
This list is mind-blowing. Great vid.
Omg I've been waiting for you to make a video like this. Thank you ❤❤❤❤
Technically every Pokémon introduced in the latest game has appeared in every game since their debut
That’s why I used Magneton(currently a Magnezone) to do my Ribbon Master challenge, since it’s available in every generation.
Including Pokémon XD, where I got it from.
Ah, that's smart! Keep a record of your achievements throughout the years...
Another great video! These were some fun pokemon facts. I'm glad psyduck beat pikachu in being in every game
I had a feeling going into the video that one of the Pokémon would be Psyduck, and I was happy to see that was correct! I’ve always had a soft spot for it, especially because of Misty’s Psyduck. I like it more than Golduck!
I just had this thought during the vid but a variant evo for swinub that turned into a big wooly rhino would be sick
I'd be down for that!
That's actually a decent idea.
Including BDSP was a mistake in my opinion as they aren’t a return to the region but specifically a return to the 4th generation removing every Pokémon post gen 4, similar to Let’s Go.
But otherwise a fun video! Would love to see a sequel video showcasing the post gen 4 Pokémon that made the cut.
Excluding Let's GO and BDSP, the post Gen IV mons that have been in every game since their debut are Petilil, Rufflet, Sylveon, Rowlett, and Dartrix. Lilligant, Braviary, and Decidueye depend if you go by forms (which disqualifies them) or by species (which includes them)
Those games absolutely count.
Special shoutout to Scraggy, who appeared in every gen since its debut in gen 5. The only games it wasnt available in was Let's Go, BDSP, Legends Arceus, and Scarlet Violet pre-Indigo Disk.
Some of the things to point out here that wasn’t mentioned in this video.
For Rhyhorn evolution line, while it is true that you need to go to White Forest from Pokémon White, or trade with Curtis/Yancy in Nimbassa City from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, Rhyhorn isn’t obtainable in Scarlet and Violet, unless you have the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.
For Magnemite evolution line, it may be present in White Forest from Pokémon White, but you can’t catch it in Pokémon Sword and Shield, unless you have the expansion pass for Sword and Shield.
For Psyduck & Golduck situation, like Magnemite evolution line, it’s absent in Sword and Shield, unless you have the expansion pass for Sword and Shield.
I am only mentioning Kanto region Pokemon here, because it is the first region in the series
He's including DLC anyway, I mean he said in in the video itself so this is kinda mute.
@@rossjones8656 not many people choose to add dlc for several reasons. Some people can still think DLC is not even required to catch those Pokemon and can still think they don’t need DLC in order to catch those Pokémon
@@caetmoniza8907 you repeated yourself and the CZcams choice to include the DLC. Just because you and others don't choice to get the DLC doesn't change he did.
@@rossjones8656 no, here is where you repeated yourself. I am not changing what he did. He may have mentioned all of those DLCs, but he didn’t say that DLCs are required for each of the ones he mentioned. As I have already said earlier, you can’t catch those Pokémon without specific (a) DLC location(s) for each of them
But, what about Colosseum & Gale Of Darkness? Colosseum was your ticket to getting ANY of the Johto Pokémon in Ruby & Sapphire. Not all of them, but, nearly 50. The only non-Johto Pokémon in Colosseum you can snag are: Vibrava, Absol, Tropius, Metagross, Makuhita, Meditite and Swablu. Duking even gives you a Plusle.
Golduck, Rhydon and Magneton can even be obtained by snagging them on Citadark Isle in Gale Of Darkness; which has 83 Shadow Pokémon; one of which can be traded back to Hordel for his Elekid; the Togepi he asks you to purify and return to him.
Honorable mention to every Pokemon introduced in Gen 9🎉🎉🎉
Awesome video yet again! Very interesting, I would be really interested in seeing the opposite of this video the Pokemon who are missing from the most games, if you haven't already done something like that
You're right, that could be cool to look into!
2:47 Holy crap, that’s my meme! I made that one! I recognize the formatting!
Well it was a good one! Gets the idea across perfectly!
Rhydon and Golduck being always present might have something to do with the fact that they're Zir's and Conia's pokémon.
I think it's the opposite actually, the fact that they both have Golduck and Rhydon is because they appear in every game. Great find still though.
2:26 Technically incorrect. There *is* a Pikachu you can meet in BW.
In Castelia City, in the same room as the Name Rater, you can meet a Hiker NPC along with Gesundheit, his Pikachu.
Granted, as Gesundheit the Pikachu is an overworld NPC (and not an encounter), Pikachu will not be registered as 'seen' on your Pokédex.
However, point is, Unova isn't completely devoid of Pikachu.
That may be, however by that logic Galarian Weezing is in Legends Arceus because of their smokestacks. I'm more focused on any Pokemon I could put in my box...
@@emperorcuboneI see where you're coming from, but I have an issue with your counterexample.
I'd argue that there is a noticeable distinction between 'a Pokémon which appears as a non-battleable but interactable overworld NPC' (such as Gesundheit) and 'a depiction of a Pokémon in the overworld' (such as the Galarian Weezing-shaped smokestacks in Hisui, or the Pikachu statue in Nimbasa City).
In the former example, the Pokémon itself is right there, in the flesh, present in the location. One can say that they have met and interacted with a Pikachu in Unova, due to one being right there.
In the latter example, the Pokémon itself isn't there. One may see some Galarian Weezing-shaped smokestacks in Hisui, but one can't say that one met a Galarian Weezing in Hisui, because there are no Galarian Weezings physically present. Likewise, the statue of Pikachu in Nimbasa City would not count as meeting a Pikachu - just like how seeing a statue of an animal somewhere IRL would not count as one actually seeing that animal there, in the flesh, in that place IRL.
Sure, at the end of the day, you still can't battle Gesundheit, talking to Gesundheit won't register it to your pokédex, and you certainly can't capture Gesundheit.
But I do still find it worth noting that, despite BW's main gimmick being the whole 'new mons only' thing, the developers still went out of their way to include a single non-Unovan NPC Pokémon, freely encounterable prior to unlocking the National Dex, and that Pokémon just _had_ to be a Pikachu, right there, in the flesh, in Unova.
I'm glad to hear one of my favorite Pokemon (Magnemite) has perfect attendance! I knew they showed up in gen 5 because of a thing people would do in the games called "Magnemite Coiling"
I'm very surprised that the Zubat line didn't make the cut though, I never even noticed that the line wasn't in gen 9 until you said it.
Magnemite is my favorite from the list. Also just one of my favorite Electric types (and one of my favorite Steel types). I love that funny little robot.
Forgot zubat. They're always there, in the back of your mind.
With the power of modern consoles, and the amount of money that the Pokemon company produces, there is no excuse to exclude any Pokemon. Particularly Gen 1!
I didn’t realize for most of these but I knew about magikarp and psyduck. Interesting video. Also I agree with the criteria you decided for this definition. Although I may not have included BDSP as a qualifier but I still agree with your choice.
i didnt even think i'd ever like magenmite's line until i had one in legends arceus and grew really attached to the guy. good to see its been around forever!
It’s interesting to see how close the Shellder line was almost here. But alas they’re not in Hoenn or Legends Arceus. I swore they were. They’re even in Unova. But so far they’ve been in Galar and Paldea. They’ll most likely be in most games.
Yeah, I was checking Bulbapedia and it's only available in Fire Red in gen 3 and unobtainable in PLA.
Before watching I gotta say, this is something I thought about myself in the past and even looked up
Lots of pokemon have appeared in every regional dex up until Unova, but Unova 2 or New Unova or whatever you want to call it did bring back *some* classics like zubat and psyduck, but not all (pikachu, geodude, zubat, goldeen, magikarp, etc.)
Then I think it finally stopped for Galar (no zubat, for example)
But can’t wait to see what pokemon made your list!
you give off vibes of 2014 poketuber - in a good way
Haha I didn't start until 2016, but thank you!
It's so cool how many gen 1 pokèmon make the list. Inc Lets Go games Psyduck/Golduck, Magnemite/Magnetron, Rhyhorn/Rhydon, Magikarp/Gyarados have been in every single game. I'm impressed.
I Believe the wingull line has been in every game since it introduction
Firered/Leafgreen and Legends don’t have that line
Had to edit cause Wingull IS in HGSS oops
If we're talking Gen 4 and on, yes they show up all the time; but since Ruby and Sapphire were first in Gen 3, that does mean FRLG were After, and shockingly Wingull is absent. But with those remakes they're in!
@@emperorcuboneIt's quite unfair to exclude every gen 3 mon because of Fire Red and Leaf Green because they exclude everything from Hoenn except Wynaut and Azurill. They are remakes of the original Japanese Red and Green after all.
Wingull was also absent in Legends Arceus.
If we didn’t include remakes or DLC there has been some gen 6 Pokemon to make an appearance on every game since their debut
The Goomy line is a good example of this since it was in gen 6-9 and Goodra is the only pseudo legendary with a regional form I think
Indeed it is the only regional pseudo legendary (so far at least) and I think it really needed it so it wasn't stuck as the "boring pure Dragon" one while all the others had something more...
Case of counting remakes or spin off as a cut for species is weird because it's still the same generation.

the only reason Meowth wasn't on the list is because of PLA. I think it deserves an honorable mention as not only is it found everywhere otherwise but it even has the most regional forms!
Don't forget it also got a Gigantamax form with its other regional form too!
Meowth isn’t in unova or kalos
I personally think you counting Legends Arceus is kinda unfair towards some Pokemon.
Like, for example: Fletchling line has been in every game since introduction (Aside from remakes) except for Legends Arceus.
The only reason the Kanto mons were in every game you mentioned, is because the Pokemon in the OG Sinnoh games and the remakes (Not counting the underground), also appear in Hisui by default. So that is why i feel like you cannot take Legends Arceus into account, especially since its BS the lines of Rufflet, Bergmite, Goomy aren't in the Original Sinnoh dex, while they technically should be, even if its not in those Hisui forms.
Are there any Pokemon from gen 5 onwards in BDSP?
No.
@@GoinGreninja Then I would have completely cut BDSP from the list
Yeah, if he cut let's go for that same reason reason...
@@tobiasgund8048 True. Same for Legends Arceus. It makes no sense for Bergmite, Goomy and Rufflet lines not to be in the Sinnoh dex when they can appear naturally in the wild in Sinnoh. If you exclude BDSP and Legends Arceus, then more Pokemon are getting on this list as well.
@@nickdentoom1173 I don't think its dex specific, so Legends Arceus would still count for me because it introduced Pokemon from later gens into a game set in Sinnoh/Hisui
I love Psyduck so much and the little headache duck being in all games just made my day
I love Magmortar, espacially if its shiny!
Nice to see it is there when I need it
Of course you can catch a Pikachu in Generation 5… you just have to use a Poké Bow and Arrow.
Well, that brings a LOT of others into it. But now I wish that had been a tool Legends Arceus to get better distance on throws!
You can technically say Pikachu wasn't in black and white but it was attainable via event/Transfer. So technically you was still able to get it but eh.
Those obviously don't count.
They should retroactively make psyduck psycic.
Wait was this video made in Powerpoint? Big props if so, massive Powerpoint fan here.
Psyduck might be included in every game due to it being Masuda's favorite Pokemon. That or it just being a popular funny and cute Pokemon that appeals to any gender.
It probably is the former, but I don't think the latter is without influence either; the only reason Jigglypuff got into Smash was because it was popular in the anime, so that can carry a Pokemon a long way!
I haven't actually played a game since gen 4, and the fact that they didn't put Eevee in a generation was both a fact I was not aware of and something I will never forgive them for.
You really should get back into it. Gen V is godlike and Gens 6 and 7 are pretty good.
@thefirstcurse3123 I've played some stuff on 'totally official Nintendo hardware' here and there like Pathways and such. And Snap 2.
Maybe one of these days I'll try a newer Gen.
@@chadcharest9891I just want to give a little "spoiler" I guess if you don't know, Gen 6 is pretty easy but with amazing graphics
If BDSP didn't count, Lilligant and Petilil would actually make the list. They're Unova so that doesn't stop them, they're in X and Y's friend safari, ORAS's Mirage Forest, its an exclusive to both versions of Moon (and is where I found my first shiny one and shiny ever), it survived Dexit thanks to Isle of Armor, Lilligant got a new form in PLA, and they made it into Paldea's base game.
Maybe this is just my bias, but counting remakes like BDSP that are just the original game content only is a massive bottleneck. ORAS had ways to get non-Hoenn pokemon, namely the Eon Flute islands like Mirage Forest, which allowed it to not be as big of a cutoff while BDSP being only DPP pokemon and earlier, not even giving new forms like PLA, makes it kinda rough.
I think it’s been a year and a half since I watched an Emp Cubone vid. Im suffering with food poisoning rn and maybe it’s just the agony and shame of said food poisoning but I swear I got some nostalgia tears welling up too.
Well I'm sorry to hear about the food poisoning, but I'm glad I could be there for you in your time of need!
I have included Psyduck/Golduck in every single one of my teams for all the games, from Pokemon Red all the way to Scarlet. They are my favourite Pokemon. Happy to hear Psyduck is Masuda's favourite, so I can always count on the confused little guy showing up in future titles!
2:50 I find this image hilarious now that every Pokémon in it is in just SV alone, obtainable without events. 2020 sure was a unique time to be a Pokémon fan.
It feels good to know that my favorite pokemon is in every game
Great video, been thinking about this myself for quite some time, and only could Think of psyduck
Bulbasaur!
ed: Magnemite was my second choice lol. Interesting list! ;)
Why is Rhyperior given a sort of asterisk but not Electivire/Magmortar? They're all trade evos so technically you can't get them without outside help
I have a shiny Psyduck named Blueberry. He's my baby but I'm going to have to go with out of that list? Hapiny! I love the Blissey line.
I’m a bit surprised eevee wasn’t on this list! It’s everywhere!
I haven't played the games in a long time, but I knew Psyduck would be on this list XD It's kinda interesting how they've been making Psyduck prominent across the franchise- it has a metric ton of merch, has starring roles in a lot of the shows/movies (ex. Misty's Psyduck for the anime, Lucy's in Detective Pikachu, Haru's in Pokemon Concierge), and as stated in this video, is present in every gen since it was introduced in the beginning. I guess being the favorite of Junichi Masuda helped it a lot, but I think a lot of people would miss the derpy lil duckie if it went amiss for even a gen.
And as a Psyduck lover, I'm here for all of it lmao
You can get three different Pikachu as a downloadable event Pokemon in Black/White/Black 2/White 2, meaning Pikachu is technically in the Unova games. Also, Magnezone is in HGSS, you just trade Magneton to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, evolve it at Mt Coronet and then trade back.
Yeeeah... no. If you booted up Black or White today those "events" would not be accessible. If it's not in the code of the base game it doesn't count on the list.
@@emperorcubone You can get them until April actually. I know, I got them last week. Also, I take Magnezone is fine, since you didn't mention it?
"Evolve it in a different game" doesn't exactly sound like a way to obtain that Pokemon IN HGSS. If you only had a copy of those you'd be stuck without Magnezone, so I'm afraid not...
love the videos but... are you making these in powerpoint????
I do use Neitio/Xatu or Sa-naito/Gardevoir depending on the region where they are available. They are good Synchro users when having any neutral Nature.
Magikarp is a metaphor for life. When you first start something new. You are going to suck at it, but if you try and try and try, you can become a Gyarados.
Magikarp is my favorite Pokemon. I'm glad his example is in every game.
Thank you so much i’ve asked myself this so many times but i’m too lazy to ceck every single pokedex
It took much longer than I'd care to admit, but I think it was worth it!
The Psyduck thing reminds me that I found a shiny while going through my Esketamine treatment for my anxiety. I barely noticed, in my own confusion, that it was a shiny! I wouldn’t have gotten it if I hadn’t decided to randomly check the Psyduck outbreak.
That happened to me in Sword with a Skorupi. I was trying to get two Galarian Farfetch'd for my best friend and I since it was exclusive to Sword. It took me a few hours because they kept using Final Gambit which makes them faint instantly. Well I caught mine and was trying to get his when I got jumped by a Skorupi in the grass. Now it was late at night and I wasn't fully there because I was sleepy. I hadn't noticed right away that it was shiny. I looked at it for about a minute thinking it looked weird. I was like "Aren't they purple? Pretty sure Drapion is pink." It suddenly clicked that it was a shiny. I caught it and it was my first legit shiny. Legit as in not event or scripted. I do not count Sudowoodo in Coliseum because when I snagged it from the trainer it wasn't shiny. When I looked at it in my box it was shiny. I know it wasn't just the shadow effects playing with me because I know what a shiny Sudowoodo looks like.
I’ve been able to bring my shiny Sneasel all the way from the GameCube on Pokémon Colosseum up to Scarlet/Violet, getting every ribbon obtainable along the way.
It was always crazy to me how my favorite Pokémon couldn’t be caught in any of the main gen 3 games until leaf green and colosseum.
Some people hated the way gamefreak split up the nation dex between 7 games in gen 3, but I always thought it was cool being in school and chatting with my friends about how I would trade them my ho oh from colosseum for their Lucia from XD, so that I could finish my dex in saphirre
The amount of times I wanted to do emerald runs with Medicham and couldn’t was wild
I'm a little disappointed that the Ralts line weren't on the list. I had to double check which games they weren't in.
It's Sun/Moon, they show up in USUM, but not naturally in SM. Other than that, they're pretty spot on in attendance.
Interesting! Literally didn’t know any of these lol
Right? It's just not something you think about...
Pikachu
Psyduck
Magimarp
Meowth
Gible
Ralts
Shoukd be rested for a region
Lets see Skitty, Glameow (who is still only in sinnoh main game!), Burmy and shinx appear in more regions
The salesman is not the only way to obtain Magikarp in the Unova games. While no wild Magikarp appear in Black and White, in Black 2 and White 2, the Nature Preserve (which is reach via the Mistralton City plane) is outside Unova but allows the capture of Magikarp and Gyarados at levels 1 up to 100.
Now I wonder if this applies to bringing along the same individual Pokémon through each generation, or does the list expand or shrink? I would love to start a playthrough journey with one or more Pokémon earning every single champion badge.
Regardless of region, regardless of version, regardless of generation there is always Magikarp. If we count Let's Go, count alternate versions as additional cuts, and say "every game" to say it has to be a gen 1 Pokemon. Magikarp and Gyarados are the only ones to be obtainable in EVERY SINGLE (main series) GAME (Gyarados is my 2nd favorite pokemon so I am completely fine with this.)
I only played Black Version growing up, I didn't know White Version could add others to the list if we are talking about each generation.
The Drifloon line only missed out on HgSs. So they are near perfect. (I know it's exclusive to Scarlet...)
Fun fact; you can still trade over Pokemon that AREN'T in the HGSS Dex and use them from the very beginning! I did this with a Drifloon I hatched on Diamond and used in from as early as possible. It was so fun to have in Johto!
I've always loved that Scyther, my favorite Pokemon, can be found in the wild in every region except Hoenn (coincidentally my favorite region).
Oh, clash of the favorites! Scyther and Hoenn are both definitely solid choices!
