Love the 30s fashion. Everyone loves the 50s but I fell in love with this era when I did a paper for my Intro to Fashion class. I especially love the escapism that Hollywood films and fashion brought to the era.
When I first found your channel, my goal was simply to learn to draw a basic pattern. I've since consumed massive amounts of information on not just patternmaking but how to construct the piece, where the roots of my inspirations come from, etc.. I absolutely love this series and your channel! Thank you for uploading (and for including resources, as well)!

In the 1990s fashion history was required at LATTC. I thoroughly enjoyed it. This series brings back that love of fashion and design from that era. Those movies from that time, The Marx Brothers and Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers are some of my favorites for viewing fashion and creating my versions of those designs. I’ve been watching videos from historical costumers and fashion historians a lot recently, and it’s so cool and interesting how you all cover fashion history in different ways! You talk about it from more of a business sense and what influenced big trends, while they (especially costumers) talk more about how construction techniques changed and how fashionable silhouettes were achieved. Of course there’s some overlap, but I just think it’s really cool and interesting!
