My macrodroid is not working when I give commands to it ,it doesn't work wt should I do??
Apply the steps from dontkillmyapp.com to both MacroDroid, MacroDroid helper if installed and the Auto Hotword plugin. Double check the plugin settings to see if there's any reason for it not working. Have you granted all the permissions? MacroDroid has a troubleshooting section under the left hamburger menu from the home screen of MacroDroid.
which app do you use for check x, y spots in your phone screen?
No app needed,
Settings>developer options>pointer location, enable it.
That's it.

Go to Settings → About Phone → Build Number
Tap build number 7-8 times and developer options would be enabled.

If you use autoinput plug-in with macrodroid you can perform 2 finger swipe action, this can never be done by Macrodroid alone 😊
Hello, can you create a new UI tutorial? In the tutorial , please make it a simple example such as in an app, click on a button, wait , click on another button. In this tutorial first show how you manually do the actions then show how you use macrodroid to automate the example, thanks. I think this will be much easier to understand.
tasker plugins have separate permissions, but samsung has locked screen access only to knox partners, have to use workaround with one of these
Hi Could you please tell me how to import multiple macro that i have saved on sd card. It says that it will delete previous macro if i import another one. Why dont they just let import others??
If you are importing a .mdr fil, they are a set of macros which will overwrite the previous macros. If you want to import individual macros, they are in the .macro format. You can also import categories of macros which are in the .category format. These will not overwrite previous macros. Or you can install MacroDroid n another device to import them a fresh and export the categories to SD card for import without losing data. You may have to change the names of categories just in case.

@@jacob5320 hi mate i still have difficulties with that. I have my .mdr files that i want to add as multiple all in one. Adding a macro will take me ages to set it again.
@@instantDeen .mdr contains all of your macros. importing a .mdr will override macros that are imported already but will not touch macros in the SD card.

How can I create such a macro that whenever I launch an app, macrodroid from the recent menu will clear it through UI interaction but note that I have some condition during that UI interaction I want to prevent external touches like myself to prevent the UI interaction from being failed because I touched the screen
Hey Jacob, Trivial from the forum. I added a repeat action at the bottom of what i created. However it doesnt trigger the whole thing to repeat.

Repeat actions
It does the click / wait / click right but then doesnt continue to repeat 5 times. Do i need to somehow put repeat somewhere else?
Make sure the actions are within the repeat loop. Does the system log say anything?

Settings,About device, tap build number 7 times then Settings, developer options then turn on pointer location. When you tap the screen it will show the coordinates

Hi Can you give me advice... I would like to use 2 clicks and with 2 differents text contents.
The first if it's clicked(with text content) , the screen will show up the new screen and I want to let it click the 2nd text content that it popped up too.
The only way around this is to add coordinates. You'll need to add coordinates to both actions
@@jacob5320 what about UI interactions? For example While/ Do 'auto sync' Enabled -> UI interaction -> click > text content (YES). Following with "wait 1ms" and again UI interaction > click > text content (Confirm) following End loop
Is it possible ? Cause the second popped up three choices Confirm / cancel / delete. But I need to let it click confirm only. ....

Going to try this out tomorrow and see if i can program my stupid fan to auto turn on hour or 2 after i go to bed as i cant fall asleep when its running and it uses Bluetooth remote but they have app to turn it on and off + turn off with timer witch doesn't do me any good. thinking if i can use this app to open the app then click on the fan turn on button at a set time or even after set duration would be perfect

Hi, for a couple weeks, I've been trying to click a certain word after launching a split screen with Auto Input add-on. Once in a while I've done something right, but it's not repeatable. I even set the app package name to limit it. I look at the log and try something else, but I can't figure it out. In single app it seems to work consistently. Help please :)
And BTW I'll happily pay you for your expertise and help.

I have configured it successfully. But the problem lies with the LOCK SCREEN. Miui simply won't let it work in background unless the screen is unlocked.
Any way to bypass it, without disabling the entire lock screen ?

I am using this to make a mistplay script. 💀 hey its there fault for making it increasingly harder to get cashouts like an 2 hour limit, gxp giving less and less, etc.
Could this video be anymore confused and unclear: I doubt it. If someone as savvy at macrodroid as me struggled to follow the tooing and froing then a beginner would have absolutely no chance.

Hi, could you please help me? When I go add UI Interaction, go to the app (Waze), click the Macrodroid notification, then I click the orange button. But Macrodroid continues to wait, instead of returning to Macrodroid. So I click the next button in waze (selecting the type of report). *Now* Macrodroid returns, and there's an action, so I save. But running the macro doesn't click the button. Any ideas?
Sometimes long pressing the button you want it to recognise helps. Failing that, create a test macro with a shake trigger and an action to read screen contents into a variable. Then when you open the variable you should see the button ID which you can then add to the UI interaction action from your original macro
@@jacob5320 thanks for the idea. I tried it, but it didn't work. I used "read screen contents" with various delays and button pushes, but nothing worked. I thought maybe exploring the app API would reveal a method of interacting with the app, but that also wasn't helpful. If you have any other ideas, I'd love to hear them! :)

how do 'text content' works if there are multiple same 'text' in a page?
i mean if i want to choose/click the 'other' same word and not the one on top?
In this case, you would be better to either use Identify in app or coordinates, at the moment it cannot determine which word you want it to click.

How do you find the x y coordinates on the screen, I don't have a rooted phone?
Newer versions of MacroDroid have abutton that toggles the touch location, it then displays the corrdinates at the top. Otherwise, the option for identify in app may help

@@conman20000 No, it should be available for non rooted. You may need to do the ADB hack though. If the option is not there, check MacroDroid for updates via the play store
No touch shows up, thats root only, whats the timecode for the no root version.
UI interaction is for no root.Youll need Android 7+

Make sure you are running the latest version of MacroDroid from the play store and that the accessibility services are enabled. See the troubleshooting section and system log for more info

There are some bug fixes and new features coming to MacroDroid which could fix this issue. If you are referring to my video, try the SponsorBlock plugin, it may skip some parts of the video that the community thinks unnecessary
