  • We are trying to help the new 2022 owners or soon to be owners on some important measurements that will help them decide on lift height and tire size and what wheel size and offset to run to get it all to fit in the fender and still fit in your garage. The 2022 limited is featuring our Westcott Designs preload collar lift that is 3” in the front and 1” in the rear. It does not take away from the factory ride quality or limit travel. It will not cause your struts to fail like traditional spacer lifts will. The lift for the new 2022 Tundra has gone live on the website this afternoon so if want to lift your truck right without throwing away your factory suspension that is brand new this is without question the best lift got your truck. This product is now Patent Pending. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you again for following and subscribing.

      We will be offering one that is a little lower in the front. This is because any higher in the rear the ride quality goes south quick because there is not enough rebound for the stock rear shocks. With a longer rear shock it would be no problem.

    I don’t understand people lifting their trucks, these vehicles are designed by people with advanced engineering degrees , they’re specs are perfect, you raise it, you change the final drive ratio, you put undue stress on the drivetrain, you hurt your mileage. I have a 23 Tundra, I put BF Goodrich all terrain KOs on it, 33, no modifications

    • @westcottdesigns
      @westcottdesigns  Před rokem +2

      That is why I left working for Toyota after 20 years. I saw how much crappy parts companies were making and selling. I realized I did not want to be one of them. So I started my company on the basis that I only want to make the best highest quality parts on the market that are built to last and going to out live the vehicle they are installed on. The great thing is we are still working with Toyota on many of them so having their blessing means a lot. As for gas and mileage most anything you do to the vehicle effects the mpg in a negative way. Only thing we make that really helps increase mpg is our roof racks. Fortunately people don’t seem to care to much on the mpg of their truck as much as they care how it looks. As for causing premature wear I have been doing my kits since 2015 and have customers with over 150k miles on their truck and still no problems. Thank you for reaching out and for your feed back and watching our videos.🙏

This kit adding 3 inches in front and 1 in back would seem to result in a stance 1 inch higher in the front. I’m sure I’m missing something. What is it?

    What tire size is this? I didn't hear anywhere in the video, or see in the descriptions, the size of the tires shown here. I dug through some of your other videos and saw a different wheel with a 35x12.5x20. Is the tire in this video also a 35"x12.5" but on an 18" wheel instead of 20"? If so, perhaps update the description mentioning the tire size since that is useful info. Thanks for the vid.

      We did testing on the axles angles and they are not severe enough to need a diff drop. When adding a diff drop it puts the axles at less of a angle then it has from the factory which then puts extra outward load on the CV’s which can will cause failure.
