Out of everyone, Carol is the last person who should be judging Ross. She is the person who cheated on him while in a marriage and screwed him up so bad that Ross got paranoid enough to prompt Rachel to go on that break in the first place. Carol has no right to judge him.

@@brauchefeuerI am like a week late and on a friends frenzy right now but I have to disagree with you. That sort of thing can destroy someone's trust and idea of love. Realising you're gay in a relationship doesn't mean you can then sneakily experiment with another person while still in that relationship with an unknowing participate. There isn't anything different about the situation other than the her feeling different about herself. Lots of people cheat for different reasons but being gay shouldn't be an excuse or different to what you think about cheating in the first place.

Don’t cheat even if you are finding out your gay because you are using that person, never really loved them, and you kept them as a backup to fall back on if affair didn’t work out. Very shitty thing to do. Also, you could live a single life and go on a date occasionally if you don’t want people to know you’re gay.

Their fight wasn't just because of Ross or Rachel. It was both. They were both at fault. Rachel did not have to force Ross to claim that it was ONLY Ross' fault for them to get back into a relationship. But I think Ross should've not used the 'we were on a break' thing as an excuse because it is not. If both would've just let down their pride, they wouldn't have to go through all of these. At first it was funny but then it got to frustrating to see ross being such a douche. But now its all good.
I think Ross and Rachel were equally douches, but hey, sorry for not being a feminist I guess.... I agree though, communication is essential to a relationship. And both their pride just didn’t allow them to have that communication (but also because of the crazy situations the writers write them into to create drama)...

What i meant about ross being a douche is because of how they wrote his character to be one by making him fail from woman to another woman. Clearly, this was only done by the directors to spice things up but did not realize this made ross look like he was the only 'problem' in his relationship with rachel.

He has good reasoning, but because people don’t care about the complexities of human emotions, turmoil and relationships, it’s much easier to explain or justify your actions through a technicality. A correct technicality, but a technicality nonetheless. I mean, it’s the same thing with Rachel. She said that Mark was just a friend, and it’s true. But it didn’t appear that way to Ross, and neither to Mark who actually was attracted to Rachel.... It’s simply difficult to put objective truth into relationships when human emotion count as subjective truths. What is truth to me may not be truth to you. And that’s one reason why relationships are so complicated....
