In "The One With Monica's Boots", Phoebe tries to get Ross to get her Sting concert tickets by singing "Ross can". In the background, you can see Monica and Rachel smiling and laughing at her performance.
The fact Matthew Perry kept as straight of a face as he did when he smacked himself with the file cabinet drawer is amazing. Totally in character.

Yessss I was always shocked to hear that this was not scripted, I bet it really hurt but he knew it was SO funny that he knew he had to keep going-- if he laughed then Jennifer would have broken too (she was always cute at hiding her laughter with her hands) and they wouldn't have been able to use the scene. This and Ross handing Chandler the lamp are my very favorite unscripted moments that were kept in the show!

Plus they would have rehearsed the scene! The only way it wasn't planned would be that it happened in rehearsal, and was kept in!

It makes sense that they keep them in the show sometimes. If someone says something funny in real life its going to make people laugh also.

I love how close the core six cast members were, both on and offscreen, to the point that they insisted that they be paid exactly the same salary per episode.

Jennifer I believe was the one the broke the easiest into laughing during scenes.
You're correct. I've observed her laugh many times. Whilst I haven't really noticed the others, maybe once here and there.
Hers were a bit more subtle. Lisa Kudrow seems to have busted into hysterical laughter the most, based on the bloopers I’ve watched. They’re so funny.
yea you can see her when they are throwing water at Joey, when Matt does it, she kind of looks at the camera i'm thinking to go "is this part of the scene?" and then laughs after. 1:19
When Chandler says "I'm sorry, we don't have your sheep" it looks like Matthew Perry's looking over at the audience and is relieved they laughed.
As Jennifer mentioned, it was like his life depended on a laugh.
That’s probably what he did. He felt so insecure whenever others wouldn’t laugh at his jokes or bloopers :/ makes you really sad to think about that.

I was watching friends every night even before Matthew Perry died.and even though I know that he’s gone, it doesn’t feel like he is when I’m watching. His comedic timeline on Friends was amazing. And his legacy still lives on. Watching him on Friends after all these years still feels like he is still here. This show is amazing, no matter how many times I watch it, it’s always funny.
I'm surprised that the "blue blazer black" scene wasn't on here! They kept going after Matthew Perry messed up his line but when Monica says "you're stupid" you can tell she's trying so hard no to laugh.

I think it's because the line was about a businessman who later became the 45th president of the United States, and Mojo avoided mentioning his name so the comments wouldn't turn into a political dumpster fire.
@@nnnnnnnnnnn7292 If I recall correctly, Matthew Perry was supposed to say "get my blue blazer back" but messed up saying black instead of back, yet the scene continued anyway and Courtney made fun of him saying "you're stupid", and it kept in the scene was if it was scripted. Something like that.

LOVE the bagpipes clip! I didn't know that the prank with David and a Sprouse twin was Jen's actually reaction I've always thought it was REALLY GREAT acting. Interestingly enough with Matthew getting hit in the head with the filing cabinet, I always feel his pain. It SURE is a great way to get a concussion! Could Chandler BE any more concussed by a filing cabinet?
I know Matthew Perry wanted to be remembered as someone who helped others first, not for his role as Chandler Bing. But I would argue that he helped people as Chandler and as Matthew. Making people laugh, helping them to decompress after a myriad of reasons for having had a bad day, is a gift. As was his ability to be relatable and humble and funny while bearing his soul. He will be remembered as a gift to the world who went back to the universe at the pinnacle of this life.
Every minute of every day, there is someone in this world that is feeling sad/down/depressed and will watch a Friends episode on TV/streaming, or, like me, choose a DVD disc from all 10 seasons to watch to laugh and get our minds off of our troubles; sometines we'll pick a favorite -- usually it is one where we know Chandler has a great line ("what kind of scary ass clowns came to your birthday parties"/"was that place THE SUN?" /"yes, they do move them over when they measure you -- in PRISON!"

I think it's more true to life when they giggle at some of the things. If one of my friends played the bagpipes and another screeched to it I would be rolling on the floor laughing.

There were quite a lot of add-libs from Matty and if you go back and re-watch many of the episodes you’ll see Jen losing it the most His comedic genius was nothing short of amazing and brilliant. RIP Matty You’ll be missed so much and we loved you more than words can express. Your wardrobe assistant through the decades..

Best bloopers even kept in the show are hilarious. I have all ten seasons and in response to Mathew perry's demise and farewell, I have been rewatching the series. So many good times so many great laughs. Love you Matt, miss you my friend.
I’m glad she mentioned the aspect ratio thing. The show was shot on 16:9 film, but the sides were cropped for the standard definition 4:3 televisions of the time. So the remastering of the show for today’s viewing means a lot of things on the sides that we were never meant to seen, now can be. That includes chuckling actors who thought they wouldn’t be seen, actor stand-ins, and crew members that had to be digitally removed

Near the end of "The One With the Embryos," Phoebe declares happily that the fertility treatment worked, and she's pregnant. Giovanni Ribisi, as her brother Frank, shouts in joy: "MY SISTER'S GONNA HAVE MY BABY!!" You can see Jennifer Aniston completely lose it and start laughing at this line.

Missed the one when Ross suddenly screams, "I DONT CARE ABOUT THE STUPID BAND" Aniston couldn't keep a straight face in any of the takes so they had to do some camera angling and glue 2 scenes together, but you can see Aniston break out laughing before they cut her out.

Some of these I’m sure are unscripted, but I also think in some instances you’re assuming that Anniston’s reactions are real when they seem like appropriate reactions for her character. Good actors react even when they aren’t the primary focus of the scene.
