I'm kinda surprised that the fact that Courtney Cox went through miscarriage was not in this list, especially considering that it was during the arc of her and Chandler trying to get pregnant. There was a reason that phone call of Monica finding out her uterus is a "hostile environment" was so sadly well acted by Courtney.....

I thought Rachel had her baby before Courteney was even pregnant. She got pregnant when her and Chandler were together and they had just gotten together on the show, so I believe it happened before her pregnancy irl

LaBlanc's dislocated shoulder isn't that dark either. All things considered, it isn't that severe. Also, injuries happen every now and then on filming aets, unfortunately.
@Nate 9-9 That was dark tho. If you watch the reunion you'll see that it was the directors' fault. She wanted to film it again and again and the third time that happened. It was a stupid mistake. Injuries happen on action shows but not on sitcomr
@@Nate9-9 Look at that 70s show. Ashton Kutcher hurt himself on that show all the time. The Rachel thing is yeah, imagine going to work and having to spend a decent amount of time doing a hairstyle you don't like and then every time you look back on your work you have to fight to not remember that bad experience.
To me, the saddest story has to be about Matthew Perry. Chandler has always been my favourite character. Thanks to Matthew. I remember him playing Carol Seaver's boyfriend Sandy in "Growing Pains". Sad episode too. I really wish him the best. My best Friend, indeed.

Unfortunately Matthew Perry hasn’t been sober since 2001. The memoir discusses how he has relapsed 50-60 times over the years, the most recent being 2018 which left him in a coma. He just did a whole press tour about it, it’s a big detail to get incorrect.
Clarification: he has been sober from alcohol since 2001, from the other stuff, not so much.

It's very clever how the writers were able to incorporate Joey's injury into the script. Also, David Schwimmer seems like a swell, shy guy in real life, I can understand why he wasn't entirely thrilled with his newfound fame, same with Matt.

The full story of the pay negotiation is more interesting than that. It was actually David Schwimmer. One of the highest paid of the 6 who got them together and insisted that they do it. Matthew Perry thanks him in his autobiography for it.

He realized that it attacks and tries to reel you back into it's web when you're alone. One can never learn enough about this caniving decease...

@@stitchgrimly6167no, she debuted the haircut during the first season. At the beginning of season 1, she is wearing her natural brown hair, slightly wavy. Then she gets a haircut after a few episodes. They just changed up the Rachel a bit during the first 2 seasons.
Really enjoyed Friends, never thought Lisa Kudrow looked fat next to Courtney or Jennifer. Always thought Jen and Courtney looked too skinny on screen. Yes, there is a such thing as too skinny.
Whenever I watch FRIENDS I always get so extremely envious of the girls' bodies and how I wish I could have that, but you have to remind yourself of whether it's healthy or not and whether they like it themselves
Definitely such a thing as too skinny. If its your natural bodyweight to be skinny no problem, but straving yourself doesn't make you attractive. All models pretty much looked like 12 year old boys back in the day, but its starting to get a bit better.
When Courtney Cox looked best was in the last seasons where she wasn't as skinny. It feels wrong to say "she put on some weight" or "she got fatter" because she simply looked better and more healthy. She looked like a doll in the first seasons and that was not normal.
I agree only calling someone too skinny is just as shaming as calling someone too fat
I agree. Especially Rachel’s weight loss throughout the seasons was so jarringly noticeable. She looked the most healthy and beautiful in the earlier seasons till about s4 or s5. Then she got too skinny.
The fact that they don't talk about Ben Geller is kinda sad. Ross had a son and he a part of some plots for half the series, but once Rachel got pregnant with Emma, Ben Geller suddenly disappeared with no traces as to what happened to his character.
Pretty sure this video is only talking about dark truths in the reality of the actors lol
Lisa kudrow was always the most beautiful to me. She was so natural to me. In later seasons I always told people that Courtney and Jennifer were way to skinny in later seasons
They did lose weight but I feel like in the last seasons they had gotten better.

After reading Matthew Perry’s book twice, I went back and watched “Friends.” I had forgotten how hilarious that show was and is. Tears running down my face from laughing so hard! 😂 What also struck me was that many of the issues they addressed in the series were real life issues for Matthew. Puts a new spin on things. 😢
Main takeaway from this video for me is that Joey has a spin-off series, thank you for letting us know Ms.Mojo! Let’s hope it’s streamable, somewhere! Matt LeBlanc is not so much dark as it is bittersweet!
There’s a reason you don’t know about Joey’s spin-off series. It lasted two seasons and was really not good. It was cancelled part-way through the 2nd season due to low ratings.

I personally like that they made a Joey episode. To me it's the wrap-up for the entire cast of Friends. That it's not as popular isn't important. At least they gave Joey a promising ending to his personal love story the way he deserved, not feeling quite the odd one out at the final season of Friends.
I was not a huge fan of the Joey spin off. It was not funny.

The Brooke shields finger licking thing is so wild that it sent him into a rage. First of all , it was freaking hilarious, it didn't look sensual, it looked like a crazy person licking someones hand. Second of all, its a job, at the end of the day she comes home to you, for some reason. If thats how he reacted he was probably a controlling jerk. Glad that one didn't last. Get over yourself dude.

Idk if was just me or what. I really didn’t see much to be considered “dark” here. All of this, issues with weight, getting hurt filming, problems dealing with fame, etc… actors have been dealing with since the start of Hollywood. Matthew Perry’s substance abuse issues was a dark thing to deal with because it could be a little more extreme than most drug abuse by actors. I am glad though that he managed to pull through and maintain a successful career.

Ross and rachel almost started but broke it off bc of Ross's list only both to get t9gether in later season and lasted a season be4 breaking up. Then later they briefly got back together for 1 episode tho ted and Robin only made out out of impulse, then broke up again only taking them 8ish 9 yrs to finally tie the not

Matthew Perry's condition isn't new, sadly. Alcohol and drug-induced memory blackouts - especially on people who've done crazy benders and relapses - can become life-threatening. Extreme cases will lead to alcohol/drug-related dementia/Alzheimer's in the long run as they age - and since he has already admitted to LOSING roughly 3 seasons worth of memories of work on FRIENDS, the chance of that happening is very high.

My assumption is that Chandler’s character was partly designed by Matthew himself, he mentioned in several interview that some of his lines was written by him or said impromptu, so it could be easier for him to remember bc Chandler’s personality resembles his

Because they rehearsed each episode for like 12 hours a day for four days before they shot it, and they got sent scripts weeks in advance. It's their job to learn their lines. Anyone can learn something, apply it once then forget it completely if it's no longer required. And Perry wasn't wasted on set.

I don't know if this is true, but from what I understand. The stylist who did the Rachel was high when they did it. So they were never able to recreate it. Like every other stylist they were forced to try to make a version of it using a photo.
