@@williamphillips2671 - not so: I live in Houston, and can attest to how commonly the Texas GOP resort to sophistry and outright lies. “Winning” at any cost has lead many Republicans to cleave away any semblance of integrity. @@dustincaso6781 , in the case of Texas, efforts by the GOP are uniformly to CONTRACT access to voting. There is no mistaking intent to diminish voter turnout by non-whites. How do we know? Republican strategists have said so explicitly. From reduction of polling places, hours, imposition of requirements, to radical Gerrymandering and, again, an EXPLICITLY racists scheme to skew the census results, race is core to the Republicans. Again, how do we know? In the case of Gerrymandering, Republicans involved in the Red Map conspiracy bragged the intent was to marginalize voters of color to Republican advantage. In the case of poll access, again, Republican architects of obstruction are on record bragging about their intent and results. And, finally, the GOP plan to prevent an accurate census: the plan’s very documents EXPLICITLY state the intent was to suppress minority participation for Republican advantage; unfortunately for the GOP, the man they tasked with designing that crime against or Constitutional Democracy died before destroying his records.
The question for you to confront, Dustin, is what sort of man you want to be- the guy who goes along with racism pretending it doesn’t exist, or the guy who holds his party to account for implementing racist policies. The choice is, and has always been, yours.

Why don’t we make it that every voter has to vote in person and they need to bring a photo ID, a birth certificate, and a bill or letter addressed to them at their location of residency, plus two adults that can verify who they are. Now that would guarantee the vote even though the way it was done in 2020, there has been no evidence of voter fraud that would impact the results of the election

They probably wouldn’t care if republicans spin it enough. Republicans didn’t want to give them any stimulus money this time around even though their own voters are desperate for help and act like it’s such a hassle but throw money at big businesses because they stuff politician’s pockets. Republican voters allow republicans to behave with no morals or compassion as long as a liberal suffers. And many of them go about tooting they’re Christians.

    • @ThebigJJ621

I don't think that is the right move here since there are plenty of Texans who oppose voter suppression laws and if you were to cut aid and funding to Texas a lot of innocent will suffer. What we need is HR 1 so that more people can come out and vote, this will either vote the Republican party out or they have to actually start making changes within their party ideologies to adjust to the changing ideologies of the demographic.
