This video is the reason we are actually going to skydive today. It has been a dream of ours for more than 10 years now since we saw it. Instead of Dubai we are in Greece but I think the feeling will be great too. Now a few hours before our first jump we watch this video again. Skydiving is amazing, it has changed my life. I watched this video about three months before I started jumping and that was four years ago. I will also say that we have as much fun if not more so than is shown in this video. You meet the most interesting, unique, and amazing people skydiving.

Watched this video back in 2012. Was 13 or something. Really made me want to skydive so fucking hard. Since that, it has always been a dream. Today, I finally jumped out of the plane. I've waited so long because I wanted it to be in a heavenly place (just like you). And I think it was worth it : at Playa del Carmen, near Cancún, with water as cyan as in this video. Thank you.

1) if you go into the water its fine because theres a life jacket infront of the belt/strap
2) if yuour parachute fails, theres always a backup parachute...

The first time I watched this video, I was 8 years old, and I can still remember the goosebumps it gave me. Since then, I've always dreamt of experiencing the thrill of jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet and touching the skies!
I'm grateful I could fulfill this dream last year and experience the amazement of reaching terminal velocity. Hopefully, after I graduate and go back home, one of the first things I'll do is pursue my skydiving license because every day I wake up longing to feel weightless again.

It’s been 10 years since i first watching this .. the hype still great!
I watched this video for the first time so many years ago, i had finished my last day in 6th grade and was so happy that summer break started, i remember going home and ordered popeyes and started scrolling until i found this video, i would keep going back to it every few years or less since then, it feels so nostalgic to me not sure why..the songs, the feels, the sunset the view everything makes me feel good, im a sophomore in college now.
Oh god yes, I went skydiving for the first time a few days ago, and this video is making me want to do it again! It is an amazing, incredible experience that's impossible to describe unless you do it. So good!!

SkyDiving was such an incredible part of my life, nothing else I have done has quite touched that feeling, fighting in the ring come close but just not quite. 0 to 120 in a few short seconds is a feeling all of its own.
My dad showed me this video when I was 6-7 years,I used to watch it everyday.
Now I’m 18,my parents got divorced 8 years ago,my dad moved to another city,but it’s still my favorite video on CZcams and sweet memory from my childhood

Haha! I booked a tandem skydive at a DZ 6 hours from home. Visited the DZ twice, only to have both jumps cancelled due to weather (low cloud on attempt 1 and high wind speed at altitude on attempt 2). Gonna have to do it next year now, with the aim of completing an AFF in 2016!
samcdigweed Ahh, that sucks! We've gotten plenty of those at my home dropzone towards the fall. AFF is definitely an awesome experience I highly recommend!
HCodeEntertainment Yeah I didn't mind too much as obviously i'd rather not jump if it's not safe too. Would have done it by now if the DZ wasn't ages from home, although a DZ is opening in 2015, 15 mins from home, just doing tandems though. So it's not all bad haha! Yeah I'd love to do an AFF at some point, for once I think i'd enjoy sitting in a classroom haha!

I'm afraid of the heights but skydiving is the thing that i really want to do. maybe if i start off with a little heights it'll be normal
There are plenty of skilled skydivers who are afraid of heights. Because you're so high up, there's no relative objects nearby to induce the height sensation. You should definitely try skydiving if you have a chance!
I'm terrified of heights, get shaky going up a ladder, have 16 jumps (pitiful amount really) and my solo license. Honestly, the scariest part for me for the first bit was hanging in the parachute at 4000 feet. When you think about it, no building on this planet is that high off the ground, and there you are hanging in your chute by two leg straps and nothing below you.
But when you are in the door way, you are too high off the ground to be afraid of heights. I find it just doesn't register with you how high up you are.

Do it. The heights thing doesn't come into effect until the parachute is deployed, and by then you're secured! Tons of fun.

Lydia T Skydiving is actually a safe sport. Yes, things do go wrong. But things so wrong in every sport. A high percentage of injuries or deaths are as a result of jumpers being overconfident and doing things they shouldn't do unless very experienced (such as a low altitude deployment, low hook turn etc.). The equipment used in skydiving is very safe. AAD's and RSL's save lives. The main chute, on average, malfunctions once every thousand jumps. The reserve, on average, malfunctions less than one in a million jumps. :)

Not really. At the place I go, it's $150 your first 3 times, then it's only $25 each after that.
Looking at Skydive Dubai's prices, it cost them about $30 per person to do each jump.

The rate at which a main parachute malfunctions (a major, not minor malfunction, and thereforei n need of a cutaway) is about 1 in 800. The chances of a reserve parachute failing as well as the main are very low. Parachutes are designed for high speed terminal velocity openings, and are packed and checked by professionals.
