- The best full English breakfast and fry recipe up in London. Borough Market is the perfect place to find ingredients for a traditional full English Breakfast. Sausage, bacon and black pudding from the Ginger Pig butchers, tomato and mushrooms from Turnips, bread from bread ahead and butter and eggs from Neil's Yard Dairy.
Amazing how technology has transformed the world. Twenty years ago , I would have had no choice but to settled for inane daytime television as a source of entertainment and diversion, now I'm watching some fella in London prepare a traditional English breakfast. And I must say, I'm finding it interesting. He's provides little tidbits of English history along the way during his narration.
Matthew Jackson. I agree. I enjoy Roberts videos.
Sounded sarcastic as fuck 😂
Love the new format of shopping for ingredients to a traditional British meal at a local market and then cooking it at your place. You're going to give Jaime and Gordon a run for their money! Great job!
One other thing, aren't you supposed to let the coffee steep for a bit in the cafetière before you push the plunger down? :-)
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
It's the only place I've ever been that, before breakfast, the wifey (as I was told) was off to market for fresh eggs, milk, cheese, etc, but also scones, jam and clotted cream.
Fry-up at a caff: £10
Ingredients for a fry-up from Borough market: £100
Eating breakfast in the evening: PRICELESS
Shashi Pancholi Sad losers with nothing better to do than comment on CZcams videos
= CZcams $$$
who took the jam outta your doughnut?
Sorry you took Mr. Pancholi as a hater. I thought his comment was positive. I thought it meant "Sure it costs more - but what you get for that extra cost is an experience that cannot be measured in monetary terms." I think Shasi was being appreciative of you and your project.
Yeah sounded like a harmless well meaning joke to be fair.

Very lovely mate! I'm in America, but have been friends with a proud Brit for 10 years. He sends me this video and what a delight. Just wish I could taste that black pudding!
I made an English breakfast not long ago similar to this one. I had a rye toast instead of sourdough since I prefer that sort of flavor. English breakfasts aren't something we really have here in the US, but aside from the black puddings, you should be able to find most of what you need for just about any variant of a full breakfast. After eating that, I remembered your video and wanted to come back to it. There are so many videos on the "right" English breakfast. I'd argue there is no right English breakfast. Just the one that's right for you. Eat what you like. Enjoy what you like.
I’d never in a million years think about having beans at breakfast let alone on toast, but when in London I tried it and it was very nice and filling.
just came back from the UK ... I was trying all types of foods I wouldn't normally eat, but It all looked so good & tasted amazing!
Welcome to my England it’s been with me since 1946,Dave Mansell.🇬🇧
And me since 1952❤️ Have lived in the Middle East for years.... but always wanted to kiss the Tarmac when I landed back in England 🏴❤️🇬🇧🍳🙏🏻
Loved this! Thanks for all your vids. I can't wait for my first trip to London later this year. :)
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
Robert, I loved this video. Borough Market was on my bucket list when I visited the UK back in June, but unfortunately an attack happened and the market was closed while I was in London. I am from Yorkshire but now living in Australia and I do miss some of the most fantastic British cuisine, especially the sausages.
This video was wonderful and showed me the market.
Thank you.
I will look out for more of your video's.
Mike.
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked the video - Merry Christmas!
With plunger coffee, double the coffee, half the water, wait 10 mins, plunge the coffee : perfect everytime
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video
Visited there two weeks ago - this video brings back memories! Thanks!
Thanks for posting! Favourite market.
Planning a family trip to London this summer. Thanks for the informative video. Can't wait to visit!

I had an English breakfast in London a year or so ago, at a cafe and it was really good!! The mushrooms looked very cool!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
After I had a nasty virus, I was off my feed for a while. I watched this video and suddenly got my appetite back. Great looking breakfast. Thanks, Robert.
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked the video - Merry Christmas!
I bought some back bacon and rashers from Ginger pig last week. All wrapped up and vacuum packed. I opened up the back bacon to find that they were literally 70% fat. I feel a bit conned.
Thank you Mr Roberts I am American and just loved the experience. Delicious bon appetite!
Where in America are you Sandra?
Hi Robert I love her little tip, if your eggs are fully cooked underneath put a blow torch on the yokes to finish them off, Sean
I have watched this breakfast video more than once each time I am reminded of what a good job you do.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video
I ate at Padella in the market last time I was in London and it was amazing. I saw it in the background in one of your shots. Great video! An expat Brit living in Canada.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video
Now I'm craving some Full English too! Great video man, showing the best London has to offer. You brought honour to your clan!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video

Great video, I originally saw many years ago and it's still a great video to watch. I definitely like the full monty breakfast, but what about another English delicacy jellied eels. Would you recommend it?
I've been to London twice and never seen that part looks fantastic im to broke now to go back .live you all from Ireland 😗😚😍😙😘
Lea and Perrin's and HP were both derived from the sauces squaddies loved when serving in India, hence the tamarind.
That looks yummy. You can't beat a full English breakfast
I enjoyed the video so I I just subscribed...love the history behind the site's..keep them coming.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video
I somehow end up hungry after watching your videos. i love the way you film the walks around London.

Love your videos. Would love to experience a full English breakfast
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
He's thankful! He's glad you enjoyed the video
His videos are good, but he has no clue how to run the comments section. He cuts & pastes the same bland and insincere comment, irrelevant of the subject. Very annoying!
Loved your video i could almost taste it i will try it very soon thanks.
When you use your French press, do you generally let it brew or "steep" for a couple of minutes before depressing the plunger? Or does it just boil down (if you'll pardon the pun) to how strong you want your coffee? I'm fairly new to brewing quality coffee at home, and want to make sure I'm doing it right, and judging from your setup you've had some experience brewing coffee at home.
Thanks , I'm drinking and its after midnight, and now I'm starving. Thanks, thanks a lot.
Great video... its like I am really there...THANKS
Looks great! Loved how you took the time to make it yourself, although it's a lot of work, worth it!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
I really enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
Went Aldi and got the same stuff for under a fiver , Lovely market though !
Old comment aside and realistically speaking (using Lidl not Aldi).
Fresh sourdough bread £1.35
Free range Eggs £0.89
Closed cup Mushrooms £1.05
Lidl delux outdoor bred sausages £1.99
Lidl delux outdoor bred bacon £1.89
Black Pudding £1.19
Vine Tomatoes £0.56
So £8.92 if we're splitting hairs.
Add Batts (for Lidl) Ketchup £0.45 and Brown Sauce £0.45
£9.82 total.
Liked it. Very informative!
What an EXCELLENT well done video! Thank you for the great mini tour and info on the beautiful market! Everything looked so good! What kind of sausage did you buy? We don't have English sausages here in the US and ours are spiced differently. Blood pudding is another hard to find item.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video
I'm very hungry now..... we'll definitely need to visit the market when we visit London this coming August.
So interesting I'm so glad I found this to watch thank you for sharing 👍

Hi, Robert the borough Market and Monmouth coffee was interesting. But small query when you were preparing the breakfast was it early morning or night??
Excellent video. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. Thanks.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
just stumbled across your videos (mental note watch once I have eaten), they are great and thx for posting
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked the video
Thanks for sharing, you have now made me very hungry. I will go down to Borough market myself to test those ingredients even though that wasn't a cheap breakfast. : )
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
The first time in Yorkshire as a 7 yr old boy, I was served little fish with heads still on. 1974. I was both amazed and revolted but I pretended to enjoy it.. Im from Dallas and we were used to "streaky" bacon eggs and potatoes for breakfast. At the time I could not know if they were proud of the fish for breakfast or insulting me...I chose to tell them I liked the fish..I wish I had enjoyed the food from this vid.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
The most important meal of the day, YUMMMM...
Breakfast is the VERY LEAST important meal of the day. To expend three days worth of recommended daily caloric
intake on a single meal of entrails, offal and grease is beyond comprehension AND a testament to English "cuisine"
Or something.
yummy this is s good good breakfast.. I love it...!!!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
It was getting dark. The English breakfast was ready! Thank you for sharing! =)
Looks nice mate
My favourite meal anytime...breakfast, 2nd breakfast, lunch, supper, dinner......Yum! Chiccory. coffee, N'awlns style goes great with it.
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked the video

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
Amazingly, the most amazing word in Robert's amazingly complex lexicon is "amazing". Sorry mate, just had to stick the boot in. Great video, and damn you to hell for making me soooooo hungry! :) Cheers!
That's so magical !!!!!, they did right filming Harry Potter there!!!!!
How could I not subscribe?? This is so informative and interesting.. love it!! Thank you.. all the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico USA

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
The eggs looked free range.mmm very nice fry up.
it's wonderful trip to London.
ooh yes, you can't beat a decent fry up. I started watching this as I cooked a fry up for the Husband this Sunday morn. Mine was like a pale version of yours, you had some good stuff there. I need to visit Jimmy's farm, get some quality produce and make the real deal like yours. Happy New Year Mr R.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video - Surprised Jimmy doesn't make more CZcams videos about his farm? Maybe his TV contracts limit what he can do.
another great video
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
It all looks wonderfully delicious. Do you not wash your produce before cooking to get the dirt and grit off?
You don't wash mushrooms sausages and bacon egg you might wish to wipe your tomatoes.
@@geraldswain3259 Actually, some people do wash mushrooms, and any vegetable from the garden or grocery store. One would not want to consume any garden dirt or bird droppings, etc. There are mushroom brushes on the market to gently wipe away any surface dirt. Other people peel the skin from the mushrooms as well. I once bit on a pebble at a restaurant, whose owner told me they do not wash the cilantro. Unfortunately the dentist bill was a few thousand dollars for him to pay.
Are most stoves in the U.K. electric or are there lots of natural gas ones like in the USA?
Both
great Job, I grew up in the UK and spent most of my life in Canada..I was working on the Oil and Gas Sable Island oil field being ferried out to Sable Island on a supply boat The MVSB RYAN LEET ,and found out the cook was from Blackpool. after a chat went to bed, got up for breakfast at 5 the next morning to find a full English breakfast being served, my Canadian workers had no Idea, till I started tucking in..they soon realized...this was way better than Corn Flakes and burnt toast...and Granola BTW we don't brew coffee that way here either..
I love that basket of different mushrooms. The egg yolks are so orange colour. He forgot the baked beans though!! Lol 🤦♀️ I enjoyed that video
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
What is that situated between the oven and the washing machine? Looks like some kind of bidet.
Great video -- thanks!
