The Best of BOROUGH MARKET @ London Bridge

- Borough Market is one of the oldest markets in London and I come to borough market quite a bit throughout the year because it’s possibly the best source of exceptional British & international food & drink in London. Its just across the road from London Bridge Train & Tube Station and the Shard Building.
On this trip we visit Monmouth coffee for a cup of coffee and some beans to use at home, Neils Yard Dairy for Cheese, Roast Restaurant for one of their British Roast Dinner roasted meat baguettes, Bread ahead bakery & bakers for some bread & doughnuts, Brindisa London Bridge Spanish foods & Tapas bar / BBQ for a chorizo roll, a duck confit sandwich from Le Marché du Quartier
The shops, pubs, bars & restaurants open pretty much every day but the market doesn't, I will put a link below to their website so you can check there current opening days & opening hours - but the best day to visit is Saturday which is the biggest market day & its fully fired up with traders & visitors and the opening times can change seasonally so check out their website before visiting.

I'm going to be a little bit contrarian and recommend against Saturday because it's too crowded. Go on a Thursday or Friday when everything is open but you can move around more easily.
We love Borough Market. We visited last year while in London and can't wait to go back and explore (and eat) our way around the amazing market. Great video!

we've been visiting the Borough Market just after watching this video. Couldn't resist.
. We could not find Roast, or it was closed, and either the place with duck confit, however I got a great Sandwich with pork from Roast Hog, not bad at all. Thanks so much for sharing this! Good to see it again, now that we miss it.

I live only 10 minutes by train to London Bridge, great market to visit, I will be going there this Thursday again :) Out of all the video's I have watched about street food, you are the only person who has mention The facilities for disable people, well done you. Fridays are good day to visit - If you want some other things to see in the area, personally I would go to the market and pick up something to go for lunch then walk down Tooley Street, cut through Hays Galleria to the bank of the River Thames then walk along the river side walk to Tower Bridge, walk across Tower Bridge, check out the Tower of London, walk along to Monument Station, check out the Monument then walk up to Leadenhall market for a drink. Then walk to Bank and admire the City's architecture before heading back across London Bridge to where you began.
It’s nice to focus on a place and what to do . Will be watching more , for things to do in London . We normally shop and do site seeing . This is much better for us .

Really, very, very well done Robert. I had the duck confit sandwich at Borough Market last week and it greatly exceeded my high expectations. Borough Market is a market unlike any other. There’s a small cheese stall in the middle of the open market called L’ubriaco. They sell ‘drunk cheese’ it’s cheese steeped in different wines. If the Mrs likes her cheese she’ll love this stuff. Never tasted anything like it. Enjoying your vids:)

How long does it take to walk all over the place? There are so many different things there that I think I might need to visit it twice.
The seafood looks amazing just like the cheeses and the spanish place, you covered my favorites.

You can spend as much time as you wish but I suggest at least 90 minutes to properly do the rounds and taste the different foods on offer and to buy.

Nice video, and some nice looking food. I can't understand for the life of me, though, why rocket salad is still a thing. I can't understand why it was ever a thing. When it emerged around 20 years ago I thought it was some stupid trend that would come and go within weeks, but it's still going. Who on earth likes it and prefers it over any other kind of salad leaf? It's just a dry leaf that doesn't deserve to be labelled an edible food.
Why would you build a building like the Shard which tapers meaning you get less area to let out yet would still have to pay for the base area in outlays to government , not particularly economically bright .
