Beyond these 14 lokas, which are all places of birth, disease, old age and death, there is Vaikuntha loka, where life is eternal, full of knowledge and bliss. Once the soul reaches Vaikuntha loka, it never returns to the material worlds.

From the highest planet in the material world down to the lowest, all are places of misery wherein repeated birth and death take place. But one who attains to My abode, O son of Kunti, never takes birth again.

So you are implying that we souls are striving to achieve these higher realms, but all of the "Lokas" are verily material existence. Lord Krishna states in the Gita: "O Arjun, even the celestial gods hanker / desire for the human form because it is only the human form that allows you to cultivate God realization. It is only God realization that has the byproduct of liberating the soul from ANY material realm." The celestial gods are the kings of the higher Lokas which are all material.
If one does good in this human form he will surely attain the higher Lokas but once the karma of his good deeds has extinguished he will be forced to reincarnate in one of the 8.4 million species on an earth-like Loka to strive for our real purpose which is God realization. Likewise, if one does bad karmas in this human form he will surely go to the lower Lokas to reap the fruit of his sinful deeds, but once the karma of his sinful actions are extinguished he will once again be forced to reincarnate in one of the 8.4 million species on an earth-like Loka to strive for our real purpose which is God realization.
There is absolutely no way around it, we are all living and absorbed in this magnificent technology of God "Yoga Maya". The idea is to realize this now and perform our actions without attachment to them or the outcomes, that's the only way out of the material realm.

How exactly does this correlate to the modern multiverse concept? That postulates an infinite number of parallel realities. It would seem this would be better compared to the higher dimensions postulated in modern physics rather than the modern multiverse
