I like how you share not just your wins but also your losses. We often dont see enough the number of times even experience players lose before getting to a point where theyre good at it! And that losses are normal for everyone. Superb gameplay, i get to learn a lot just watching from you and others.

from 22:47 onwards till the end of the wave REALLY surprised me, I mean nobody even takes out the flyfish but it's almost like it's not a problem. just keep rotating around the map, making sure to not be in a spot bosses could put you in a disadvantage to, and just keep going as you keep up the damage and eggs. interesting approach and the mechanical and observational (especially) skill needed, god DAMN man

i really appreciate how you show how you lose as well as win. it’s so rare to come across splatoon youtubers who actually show that yes, we are good, but we can also lose. often times people idolize people who “never do no wrong” and in this case, it’s youtubers who are so good at games people don’t believe they can actually lose. i’ve been in this mindset before and you’re doing a great job at breaking the idolization of people who have faults too!

It's only now, from years of watching Salmon Run vids, and only through a twitter post, that boss salmonids stop spawning at 28 seconds.
Thanks for posting this, I didn't even watch the whole thing yet and I've learned a lot, e.g. using ink jet rockets to easily clean up fish sticks

Damn, that’s good team coordination or smth, when I play I either end up alone or with 3 guys that just go for golden eggs that are on the other side of the map while I’m killing all bosses and getting more golden eggs than them, but now seeing that in splatoon 3 you can do movements almost the same as the dualies, and you can throw eggs I’m almost sure when I buy the game I’ll get to max point thing

I wish someone would make a video analyzing movement and strategies for becoming a pro at Salmon Run. It’s hard to know what the thought process is when it’s going so fast
i love watching these to see how i can improve and im realizing i could be toooons more effecient if i just trust my own movement. to be fair i am still mastering the art of the squid roll however i think there are many small optimizations i could make that i never go for bc i think it'd be too risky or id miss the shot. you miss 100% of the shots you dont make yknow? im gonna work on perfecting my movement throughout the map and try not to just tunnel vision in on one boss i see that i dont like lol

I'm really curious about how people should play when fighting cohozuna. I wonder if it might be better to have some distract it and keep it in a favorable area for the entire 100 seconds. Letting the rest of the team go and collect eggs and shoot at it from long range. It helps whittle down hp and also stops cohozuna from moving and attacking them. I'm not really sure because I haven't seen anyone talk about it.
Highest I’ve got was 210. And I’m trying to climb my way back. I’m gonna thank my teammates for that. It’s pretty rare that you get to play with a team of people that remember flyfish and stingers for long enough to get from vp 40 to 210. Now I’m not getting that anymore. But I’m back up at 100. For now.
It feels so wierd to make use of the gold eggs to take out bosses during cohozuna, and it feels like i need to do it more especially against like flyfish

Climbing towards 999 can be very difficult for many players, and even I struggle, especially at early EVP ranks. My advice would be that improving multitasking, awareness and survival will allow you to beat most of your games. A good multitasker can smoothly juggle between running eggs, taking down bosses, clearing lessers, reviving teammates, and remaining alive in that process. Sometimes I feel like I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Like is it me, my teammates, or is it weapons?
Could be all three. The current salmon run wave has one of the charging weapons (yikes!) and ofc it offers a disadvantage if the teammate or yourself don’t know how to use it. I’ve seen and been in way too many matches where we lose bc the person doesn’t know how to use their weapon. Charging weapons are ALWAYS better at far distance and take your aim to make a kill shot. Another thing I see is surviving the wave. Sometimes we met the quota and there’s ten seconds left, everyone except one player is dead and the last player dies and we lose the game. If there’s less than ten seconds then your priority should be the survive the wave. Rescue others if you can, but if you’re clearly overwhelmed then survive the wave so the team can win the round.

Can someone tell me what the 999 is about. I'm in eggsecutive VP and I'm wondering how many ranks it takes to get there.
EVP goes from 0 to 99 like any other rank, but once you reach that 99, you don't rank up anymore like you normally would. Rather, it just keeps counting. It confused me at first too when I saw that 40/99 in the top corner once again and thought the rank that goes op to 999 was a different rank, but it's not. EVP is the highest rank. Things just keep getting more and more chaotic the more points you have.
