This is so crazy!!! Since I was your team mate I can say that on my screen I don’t really remember seeing anything weird on my side (I was JayToke) but that is a very crazy visual glitch that happened, glad you still got the points 😆
I've had this happen twice, both times it seemed to stick with the group of people since when I continued playing after one game the glitch would stay in the next game. I don't know if it was a result of the glitch or just my teammates being absolutely cracked killing bosses left and right, but it seemed like bosses were just constantly taking damage and dying even if no one was around them. Desyncs have seriously given me some of my best salmon run games ever.
I actually just edited it out because I didn't want it to distract from my text that I put on the screen, I didn't think anyone would notice ahaha...😅Sorry to disappoint, but props to you for noticing it!
Compared to some of the other glitches I've seen people have in Salmon Run the only one I have yet to experience is pretty minor but still a little humorous. On Gone Fission Hydroplant there was a Slammin' Lid that had flown over to the back side of where you spawn and was floating over top of the water with the Salmonids it spawned, of course, falling right into the water. I went under the force field (which was still poking onto the land just a little) to make it drop, only for the thing to just plummet into the water and never come back up...
I remember on Twitter seeing a Slammin’ Lid on Sockeye Station float to the central spiral part and then randomly fling someone all the way out to sea. Only in Japan.
Nintendo is to lazy to afford servers, so instead they host all games on one switch. This may have happened due to everyone else being really far away from where you live
sometimes i think about it as being on one switch, then i remind myself that it’s on a server, but apparently it is, in fact, on one switch, good to know
It's interesting that the game tries to sync up rather than just outright crash or kick you out due to said desync. I've had worse happen to me on pc only to end up being kicked and that's with server hosted games.
Yep, this has happened to me twice so far, and I always wonder whose internet connection is the problem, or whether it's a bug in the game itself. One thing I've noticed about it is that I don't have any egg lag when it happens, which makes me think I was the one hosting the P2P connection, which might mean it's my internet at fault. On the other hand, I've noticed it's linked to other specific lobbies/players, because both times I've seen it it happened several matches in a row where I stuck with the same team of 3-4 players, and the desync disappeared when I left that lobby and got a new crew, which could mean that it was one of my other teammates' connections that was causing the problem. It's just a super weird occurrence that's hard to pin down.
Another interesting thing about desync: if you play on any rotation with pre-set weapons, sometimes you can get two of the same weapons at once on 1 round. Got a few friend requests after it happened to me (probably thought I was hacking)
This happened to me during Big Run and really confused me at first as to why bosses were dying early and how some weren't inking the ground. Also, glowflies were significantly easier in this state :)
i havent seen weapon desync in the current patch, but just today i saw someone who had some pretty clear gameplay desync. they had a consistent late super jump during our rounds together, while the rest of us jumped at the same time between waves. the waves themselves also seemed to hold for a bit at the end, like someone had thrown an egg or something. at the very least, the existence of this kind of delay/desync/latency hasn't been patched out yet, even if it's possible they might have gotten the weapon desync (though i wouldn't know, i've just never run into it period).
DUDEE this happened to me for a couple of games once and I thought I was in a room of hackers because multiple people had the crazy fast fire rate on the blaster
happened to me before! it was really funny, i saw: - a clash-splattershot that looked like the range blaster in this video - a splattershot pro disguised as a snipewriter, when the weapon fired it looked like the snipewriter killed things just by looking at it (no visible bullets) - splattershot-clash, inverse of the first one so it looked like the splattershot was firing like 1 or 2 bullets at a time but did damage anyway becausr it was a clash blaster
I came across this glitch myself, and ended up getting two of the same weapon on my team during a non-wild card rotation. Mr. Grizz was drunk that day.
Ahhh this happened to me too and I was so confused! I only noticed it at the start of Wave 2 when I respawned at the jump point a few seconds after my teammates, which I thought was weird because that only happens if you die after the wave has ended. Then I saw I had the same exact weapon as someone else and it wasn't a special weapon rotation. The same thing happened in Wave 3, I had a mirror weapon as another teammate and were missing a gun entirely. I had a hard time surviving due to the constant lag but I somehow didn't die once and won the whole shift. I didn't know it was from desyncing I just thought it was severe lag and that the entire team was lagging like me. Interesting to know it was only me that was lagging, I wonder how my gameplay appeared to them. Wild.
I got desynced once, during a normal loadout. 2 of us has the L-3 nozzlenoze. One of them disconnected on wave 1, and one of them had the correct weapon on the win screen, while the other 2 had question marks.
This happened to me 2 games in a row (same teammates). Best 2 games of my life! I decided to leave the lobby out of fear of disconnecting. Biggest mistake of my life. Lost literally every game afterwards no matter who I played with. It was really funny seeing steelheads blow up before the even attack and also maws before she even swallowed a bomb
I encountered the same situation several weeks ago. I was the late one as well, and on my screen, there was any ink came out of my teammates' weapon. The boss Salmonids exploded earlier than their animations. I couldn't see my teammates' weapons after I completed the job. The situation wasn't change in the next round.
There used to be a glitch you could do back when the game first released where you could have certain aspects of certain weapons on other weapons. Kinda like the range blaster in the video.
Same thing happened to me before, I was like "wut is wrong with my game I played too much? No i'm starting to have hallucinations I should stop for a while"

This may be a bit unrelated, but there’s this weird glitch that happens to me where it takes 2-3 seconds for a golden egg I collected to actually be collected, and whenever a teammate walks over the egg it becomes their’s
This reminded me of a similar desync glitch I experienced, except it was with being unable to pick up a Golden Egg. I do remember experiencing the glitch on my original Switch, so I know it happened some time between early to mid 2023 (from when I started playing Salmon Run to when I sold off that specific console), so it could've happened on a 2.x or 3.x patch version. I do remember saving some capture button recordings, though, but didn't post them publicly as I haven't yet started my dedicated gaming CZcams channel.
When this happened to me, me and another person had the same weapon every round even though it wasn't a random weapon rotation. And then at the end it showed a question mark for our weapons.
It's interesting to see this desync I had a desync happen but it was quite different along with weird movements the game wasn't registering hits on salmonids ..which is bad when carbon is doing 0 damage to them

I lost my Eggsecutive VP for several rounds recently due to a glitch where you cannot collect eggs A long time ago during the first month of release I got into a match with Wadsm (yes that Wadsm) and the Tenta Brella for that Rota was replaced with the Dualie Squelchers
This has happened to me once but it was a normal wave, you know, like all the weapons had to be assigned, and i was on a vc with my friend and my internet was SO bad there were TWO of the same weapon. ON A NORMAL WAVE
I had almost the exact same problem, except from what I could see, only my super jumps were delayed but i didn't pay attention to much. When I got rhe 'connection unstable' message, I swear I was gonna cry if o disconnected because it happened on rhe most hell inducing match ever. Barely got to finish the rounds
finally someone who's experienced this too. i get desynced very often, i even got a pb of 190 eggs while in that state. in addition to the delayed inkstrike, reefsliders look really funny too, they slide 3 feet forward very slowly and don't explode

It appears this was not fixed as I got desynced yesterday while playing a match. Everything was super late, I got a steelhead when it didn't even have the bubble on my screen, and the game was also confused over what weapons my teamates had, listing everyone had the same weapon in the last two rounds.
Sick video, keep it going untill one of them blow up. After that you will get around 30k+ subs, then try to get another video that blow up. Then you shall get around 120k+ subs, trust me...
I’ve seen this happen a little bit. I’ve seen random bosses exploding for zero reason when nobody is near and all that. Boy am I glad I don’t have this game anymore. This thing sucks.

I can confirm that this wasn't patched. It happened to me during the Gone Fission Hydroplant rotation on 01/18, shortly after the update.

A similar thing happened to me where the game showed two people had sloshing machine. It also looked like they had a grizzco range blaster.
