  • An inside look at the lil' hole where I make stuff. How do room designs happen? Why, in a room design room, of course! Up your Dungeonmaster game!

    Like you said man, the initial setup is a little grizzly, but when you have it finished, it's just a matter of de-bippity-chow, to get debbably do, and you can accomplish la pomplamouse . . . or whatever.
    You can mix and match set pieces pretty easily, is what I'm trying to say.

    Dude that's so crazy. I just use the ol' giant graph paper and sharpies!

      I've recently stepped up my game from graph paper and sharpies to cardboard and hot-glue buildings.

      My group has a table that was painted to be a dry-erase marker board. I still want to draw on grid lines with permanent marker, so we don't have to guess at distances as much.

    I had the picture of the dragon you have framed on the wall usually out of camera shot near your book shelf of dungeon props. It was a big poster I kept over my bed as a kid.

    Great vid! I like the idea of using the black felt/negative space as a way to create tension.

    Here in brazil is really hard to find pieces like these. But still, i got do my work... i've been a rolepaying fan since i can remember, but always in the Roleplaying, never with the "toys". This was an inspiration, will talk with some friends in universty, engineers and stuff for help.
    Your content is amazing, a shame just finding out now.
    Cheers from brazil.
    ps: here we kinda have, but it's too damn expensive, like the d&d 5th book 200 reais and pathfinder 180.
    But i do have bloody thumbs, gotta see how far can i get, without "money". haha

    Huge fan of your work! Your inspiration is making my campaign epic! Particularly love timer, treat, and threat concept/room design. I'm currently running Curse of Strahd and my characters are about to enter Ravenloft for our dramatic conclusion! I'm looking over the castle for key rooms worthy of your concepts and effort (we typically do theater of the mind), but I've been working in your magic. Any suggestions for rooms and/or concepts to use and/or videos of yours to watch? Thank you as always and keep being awesome!!

      +Dustin Gonzales ya! my play box is about 30" by 45" (like almost as big as a dining table) my averga eplay block is like 18" by 26"

    I was wondering Hakerin, do you ever do Duo games? To be clear I mean you as the DM and 1 other person as the player. My friends and I do some open role-playing like that and it makes for some real fun especially when we choreograph specific movements.

    • @Runehammer1
      @Runehammer1  Před 9 lety

      Jason Cutugno Just battle royale. PVE duo? Wacky!

    • @jasoncutugno8577
      @jasoncutugno8577 Před 9 lety

      Drunkens & Dragons: Play D&D Like a Badass Yeah, makes for some interesting role-play. However it's much more devoted to telling a story over the crunch, not that some battle and tactics isn't part of it.
      I was wondering do you have anymore book related videos coming up ? the Homework and required reading have been so helpful, as an additional reference for DMs I found the Thieve's World books are really cool, especially when you want to run a lower magic campaign.
