Pokemon Legends Arceus is a game that basically everyone loved, and pretty much everyone also wants to see more Pokemon Legends games as well for the other Pokemon regions. In today's video, I take a look at what it could look like if the Unova region from Pokemon Black and White received the Legends treatment, including what new Pokemon we could see, what the game itself would be like, and more! I hope you enjoy!

I feel like a good motive for a villain in the game would be for him to reunite the 3 dragons together and battle you with it
I'm on team Blaziken like the origin is so interesting based on the thunder bird which is incredible if we get form similar to this I'll name it thunder bird 🤩🤩🤩
That shit gives you erectile dysfunction. lol but don't worry, because now you can discreetly buy viagra in Boots or Superdrug!
actually if you look after Pokemon Diamond/Pearl on DS, we need Pokemon Heartgold/Soulsilver remakes before Black/White/Black2/White2
Instead of the past what about the Future
I also think the perfect name for the Original Dragon would be naming it “Unova” giving it a reason on why the region is called Unova in present day
It would also parallel how Arceus/Palkia/Dialga were all called “Almighty Sinnoh” and how Commander Kamado used that to dub the region they’re in. Good thinking!
Random thought was it called unova because it was Un (united) ov(of) a(america)? Since the game is new york based
@@8bitbarbie163 You're making too much sense, you stop that.
Of the name of the original dragon is Kyurem. As it's the name of what was left of it after splitting
@@Lightstation_ it least that’s what Pokemon Insurgence said. It’s not canon
Imagine one set in Kalos, maybe Medieval, or during Napoleonic era? That would be cool. Or maybe it's set at the time of this games French Revolution, or Kalosian Revolution, and the evil team is the Monarchy and Nobles.
Or, it's the other French Revolution where Le Mis takes place.
And maybe we could get &/or see AZ’s floette
I don't think active warfare fits in well with the franchise, this being a kids game and all.
Yeah what is the history back in France 🇫🇷 of Kalos
If thats the case, empoleon must be one of the starters
A Pokemon Legends: Alola could fit perfectly. It could show how the Tapus came together to make each island and how the light came to be.
That would be cool, plus see the first ever UB attack as well that they defended against.
Maybe even have a bit of intrigue to the ‘Strange Statue’ item that was a reference to Alola in Kalos.(family relic)
I think a future one exploring the ruined Alola would be far more interesting. I don’t think most regions are fit for Legends making. The big ones would be Unova and Kalos.
too recent
Yeah let's give Pokemon Legends Alola a bit more time😅😅
Yes
In Oshawott's Pokedex entry from Legends Arceus it states: "This Pokémon from the Unova region"
So yeah, it is called Unova.
It would just predate arceus legends
@@gilldominicmendoza5202 big brain
Yeah not to mention the reason Hisui gets a name change is because irl inspiration did too, was called Edo roughly 200 years ago, then was changed to Hokkaido of which it is called today. America didn't really have a name before Amerigo Vespucci named it, Christopher Colombus though it was India, and Native American language is complicated because each tribe has its own language and naming system, so they each called America something different.
What would be weird though is the timeline with the Pokedex. In Arceus it's stated that the Pokedex of the game is the first of it's kind.
@@marygortney9406
Yeah I thought it odd when the game initially came out, I thought Oak invented the Pokedex, that or my entire childhood is a lie.
I’d be team Chesnaught. That design was honestly better than the actual one. I’d like for that to be real someday.
Glad you like it! 😄
Yeah Chesnaught will be grass 🍃/steel ⚙️
On the same team.
Chesnaught is my favourite gen 6 starter and in top 3 starters all round (possibly number 1 starter of all idk) so I love the idea of this new form that actually iradicates the originals type weakness and goes into the knight class that people say it’s design lacks (tho I disagree that it lacks in knight but people be people)
If we went with the Chestnut tree blight theory I can see an argument for Chesnaught being Grass/Poison as well if instead of protecting itself from the fungus, adapted to it instead.
If GF makes a 'Legends' style game for Unova, I'll love to see them focus on the 'Original Legendary Dragon' Pokemon, the form Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom took before separating into the Dragon Trio we know today.
The finale of the game to actually be the Legendary dragon splitting up, centered around the two royal brothers differing philosophies, and you as the player, being given the choice to side with whatever ideology you identify with more. Add in a middle/Kyurem route which could serve as the 'true ending,' and what we could get is essentially the Pokemon version of the mainline Shin Megami Tensei games.
That’s literally what everybody wants when they say anything about Legends Unova.
I was thinking that one brother would be the leader of team/clan truth, and the other being the leader of team/clan ideals
And that they would be similar to the Dimond and Pearl Clans
(Or you can change it to the black and white clans, your choice)
I doubtful it would have a true ending.
You need to explain the Opelucid design and the creation of Black City/White Forest
@Bryce Theobald The "true dragon" was referenced multiple times, and the two Kyurem forms are not it. I initially wanted the true form to be explored in a BW/B2W2 remake, but now I want to see it be explored in both it and a Legends game.
You're also forgetting that during that time period we would also see the revolution in which the 3 musketeer pokemon participate. You could also have the two rulers of Unova (and the protagonist) hunt Victini in order to determine who has victory on there side.
We could possibly see a Genesect in its prime! There are so many things you could explore with a Legends Unova.
Then add Mega Evolutions ( as it's 500 years after the Kalos war) and paradox encounters.
@@barrybend7189this literally makes no sense why are pokemon fans still obsessed with megas they aren't happening and will never happen again outside of a kalos game
@@lurji i think the major reason why people like Mega evolutions more than anything is related to the fact it's the only boost mechanic in the game series that actually gave life to how drastic it can change battle. Unlike Z moves, Dynamax and terrastilization it made even more mundane pokemon have advantages and unique forms for the boost. Plus if Gen 5 gets a remake think of the potential for an overhaul of the Pokemon World Tournament to have every gym leader, elite 4 and champions complete with their respective gimmick. Though Megas as a longshot for a Legends game I'd love to see Paradox pokemon be seen as time travel is a fun side quest in the city of past and future of Unova.
Being how rich of a past many island nations have, I feel that Alola would be a FANTASTIC region to get the PLA treatment. The island guardians past would be great story fodder.
You get it! Plus it’s implied that the ultra beasts (or at least Solgaleo/Lunala) were around in the past so we could get to see that!
@@vee8101 Solgaleo and Lunala could even get new forms!
I love Alola so much, and I’d love to see it get Legends-ified.
Plus, we get a few hints of alohas past through real life stuff, books and stuff in the aloha games, the ultra beast, and even a line to themselves in arceus “similar to the ride Pokémon of aloha” or something like that
I would honestly LOVE to see this unified dragon form. One of the many mystery Pokemon that has been hidden for sometime. Also, some new variants I would love to see in this game would be Riolu/Lucario, Mandibuzz, Shuckle, Noibat/Noivern, Bruxish and Psyduck/Golduck.
A Regional 3rd Stage Evolution to Lucario would be awesome.
@Bryce Theobald The original dragon is the combination of Kyurem, Reshiram and Zekrom. Whereas White Kyurem and Black Kyurem is still just 66% of the original dragon.
Hoops: It’s no secret that pretty much everyone loved Legends Arceus…
Verlisify: *stares in irrelevance*
Verlisify is a joke and don't take his opinion seriously he's a narcissist.
I love your plot. It kinda reminds me of the Lewis and Clark expedition with you, basically, taking the role of Lewis who categorized several animals and plants along the way (basically making him a real world Pokemon trainer). Which means you could have a rival/partner akin to your rival in Hisui that take's Clark's role in mapping the landscape. Which maybe like Breath of the Wild, every place is unknown until you map it out with your partner.
I'd be very cautious with the theme of settling on Unova personally as I feel using the colonization of the americas as a theme needs to be approached with a lot of sensitivity. I absolutely adore the idea of a legends unova game but am unsure how to approach it super well.
I think the idea of it being set further back and not relying on colonization as the theme of the game would be much better lore wise and also execution wise.
That’s exactly what I thought too to be honest. When it comes to certain things in the franchise, they never really expand on the wars that took place too much. To see that in a franchise could really mess things up personally. going further back for the exploration and Pokémon and of course the lore would be their best way of avoiding the whole war thing and colonisation too. I think all in all they should definitely eventually do at least half of the generations we know of in Pokémon legends. Obviously we’ve got arceus, this would be [name of the ultimate whole dragon], the next one would be Either xernias/Yveltal or both or even a third which would technically be zygarde. but that one’s a little skepticle on its own. all we can do is speculate and hope more arceus games are made soon. For now though Pokémon scarlet and violet I’ll be playing them 💜
I mean the regions being inspired by real life countries doesn’t mean they have to follow the historic script of our world. Perhaps in the Pokémon world they colonized the US properly through friendship and uniting instead of genocide. Two worlds parallel resulting in the same creation of a country/region but done so in different ways
But legends acreus is also based on colonization. The Japanese empire’s colonization of Ezo which later became Hokkaido.
@@mythologicalnomad6520 The only problem I see with this though is that it could come off as whitewashing and intentionally ignoring the past. I feel that the best option for a legends Unova game would be to go back even further before the colonizers came and focus on the native people of the land and their interactions with Pokemon.
@@mattshea5127 not sure how it’s ignoring the past when the world of Pokémon is not our world, our history is not their history. Also technology is way too advanced in the game for it to go back in time to when there were only natives that are in the americas. At best it’ll work for Scarlet but not for Violet since one is past orient while the other is future.
Edit: Autocorrect messed up one my sentences
Ooh, first Legends Celebi, and now Legends Unova? That'd be so dope 🥰
First legends arceus then celebi now who is going legends Unova maybe Kyunem
@@vanessasandoval96 victini
@@wdm_maps Oh yeah I forgot about victini....
@@vanessasandoval96 why would it be anyone other than Kyurem?
I’d think a game set further back, so we see the original dragon before the split, would be better.
To mirror real world events, it’d be back during the original settling of the first pioneers. The brothers would be native people who disagree on how to handle the intruders. One, ideals, believes they can co-exist with the settlers. The other, truth, knows that the settlers will take more than they are given.
The brothers decide to hunt for Victini, the victory Pokémon, to help champion their side. The player is either a settler themself, or was sent to the past like the player character in LA.
The dragon is the guardian of the brothers’ tribe. And sensing they are going to do something dangerous, the dragon appears before them to accompany them, but in disguise as a human.
During the climax of the game, the player, brothers, and dragon find victini, but it doesn’t want to champion either of the brothers’ sides, so they try to catch it to make it. Player character intervenes, and the intense fighting makes the dragon reveal it’s true form. The brothers then fight over who should get the dragon on their side, while the player character argues that they are both going too far in either direction. And that fight of beliefs makes the dragon split. Kyurem represents the wisdom to wield both ideals and truths to reach your goals, and goes to the player character.
There is no ultimate bad guy in the game, the brothers are at worst just antagonists, and are caught up in trying to protect their people their own way. Like in the legend, they realize their mistakes in going too far in either direction and reconcile,
For ancestors. Each brother has a love interest. One is the ancestor to N and the triplet gym leaders, and the other is the ancestor to Iris. N’s ancestor is a settler that the ideals brother courts to prove that they can coexist. Iris’s ancestor is a native that the truths brother is already married to at the start of the game. At the end, Ideal’s spouse has triplets, (I like to connect N to Cilan because green hair)
Anyone have anything they’d want to add onto this?
I understand why people want to involve Victini when it comes to Legends game based on Unova, since Legends Arceus was named after a mythical, but I feel like the original dragon can more than service that role.
I’d feel weird playing α Pokémon game that takes place around the time 90% of a population was massacred
It’d feel like throwing cute monsters into α game set in Germany just before the holocaust and there’s tension in the Jewish community and you follow 2 conflicting Jewish people while α floating key-ring, α purple blob, α mime, α sandcastle, 3 moles and an Easter island head with α big nose and pubes follows you to find help from a mythical beast to stop Hitler and save the day💀
@@elliswebster7041 it’d be right before then. As the massacre happens when the brothers’ children take control, iirc. The game would take place in the calm before the storm.
@@midnamagic2678 either way meeting trainers and knowing they’re likely to die in real life events in α pokemon game is α bit much and feels insensitive 😆 maybe I’m just being over sensitive about it tho it just feels weird imo 🤷♂️
I like the dragon splitting bcs of different ideals tho that’s cool
@@elliswebster7041 that is weirdly specific
I would assume that it would still be called the Unova region because in the Hisui Poke-dex it describes Oshawott as being from the Unova region. I could only see it being called Alleos if it’s older than Hisui.
to be honest, I'd much rather have a Legends Unova based on pre-Columbian indigenous America, it would be so much more interesting than just the colonial era and would open a lot more opportunities to explore Native American culture in Pokémon which hasn't really been done before
Native American stories and history is boring.

A colonial unova would be really cool and the protagonists give a bit of a cowboy and cowgirl vibe which is pretty cool!
Well, their hats are based off tricorns.
Looks more pirate like to me
Perhaps we HAVE actually seen the two brothers from Unova's past in a game, after all.
People were wondering why there were pictures of the ancestors of Maxie, Archie, and Alder in the clan dwellings. It could be that this was the clue they were giving us..?
i think the setting would be interesting, but considering that period of time for the US is most well known for the brutalization of native people, i think if it were set in that time, it would have to be at least acknowledged somehow. and i dont think that pokemon games are equiped to tackle that kind of converstation. i think it would be better to have it set in a vaguely wild west era.
YOU GET IT, TY
Yeah there is also the fact there was slavery too which makes this concept for the game pretty flawed unfortunately
Slave pokemon
They could just ignore it and rewrite a new story from scratch idk
Bruh pokemon gonna make it the woobat knee massacre and the trail of fake tears 🤣
Those STARTERS man! Also the original dragon is so good! Definitely would love to see more of this in the future!
Oh hey it’s you! Your Cornera Region is really cool, and has actually inspired me to make my own Fakemon Region! You’ve put in a lot of inspiration behind your Fakemon, thank you!
Thank you, glad you like them! 😄
Regional form Chesnaught, Blaziken and Feraligtr
I think if they do make the original dragon I I think the the black and should be all over the body and not the sides unless it something like an in-between stage where it has just absorbed Zekrom and Reshiram and is in the process of merging together and is an almost complete original dragon and then as some time passes the original dragon get used to its power again then the black and will be incorporated to all of its body and not at the sides as if it incomplete
Don't forget about Keldeo's origin story could be in there, the Moor of Icarus was burned "a long time ago". perhaps we could also see the formation of the swords of justice, each one having a alleosian form before they united, that would imply they all gained the fighting type when they joined together.
True
I think you might've missed a really obvious choice of starter here ,
The witch trials were quite a big part of American history during the puritan era so I imagine a dark/fire type Delphox would likely be a good choice and would fit the themes well
granted you would likely to have to change Chesnaught then which would be a shame as his lore fits very well.
I feel like the biggest opportunity missed was not having a starter from kalos galar and paldea. The three regions who colonized North America if he’s going for the colonial idea
@@pikapi1564 its a sound idea but I imagine he didn't put Paldaea in simply because we have no idea what the final forms look like yet
You have to make more videos like this!!! This is such a cool concept! I would love to see a Legends Galar set in medieval times, or a Legends Paldea set in the Age of Exploration. Also you should make videos about completely new regions like one based on South America, Australia, or the Middle East.
I would love to see the history of the white tree and Celebi protecting Unovans from the destruction caused by the Genies.
Would be awesome if they could explore every bit of lore that is hidden in the BW and BW2 games involving events from the past, White Tree and Celebi traveling time with it, Kyurem and the origin dragon, the dragon spiral tower, I want it all, even if I don't think all of this happened around the same period of time e.e
Dont forget the entralink! Srsly thats am untouched feature i dont think I heard much about
I'm often sad when I see such awesome ideas and realize that none of this will make it into an actual Pokemon game. The community is so creative, it is insane!
What if the first dragon you ' catch ' would be the one that simply sides with you and allows you to command/capture it in the fight against the other, and the way it's decided is based on choices you made throughout the game.
The more ideals you spout, the more likely Zekrom follows you.
The more realistic or ' blunt ' choices you make, the more likely Reshiram follows you.
And for fun, if you make equal decisions in the categories, secret fight initiates where Kyurem comes in and you have a three way fight.
I also really want one about the burned tower. I need to know the Pokémon that were resurrected.🥺🤙🏻
I was talking to a friend about this, and I was like oh it’s a fan theory that it’s just Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon, but I said what if instead it’s like a Johto regional variant of Raikou, Suicune, and Entei? Or just one entirely new species that “evolves” (but not really) through Ho-Oh into the sacred beasts
@@virgohart8042 I’m so upset that they never confirmed if the eeveelutions were the Pokémon. The only reason I don’t like them being variants is because the thing we do know is that the Pokémon that died were reincarnated into the beasts.
Check out the Legends Celebi trailer. It's fan made but looks so darn cool that I hope they make it real
@@daughterofares10239 I caught that! It does look pretty awesome!
YES THIS! seriously all I ever wanted to know is who officially was in that tower.
i would absolutely love to see a legends unova game!! its always been my fav region since it was the 1st game i ever played. i also think it would b cool to have some native american inspo in it, as a native american myself. im worried abt possible stereotypes & mixing of diff tribes tho...but either way, i still think this would b an awesome game!
Honestly, if done properly and respectfully, exploring the themes of truth and ideals through the lense of native knowledges confronting colonialism would be SUCH an interesting and deep story to weave, and I'd 100% play that game!
@@DanielBoutinAwesome ABSOLUTELY! i would totally love to see that as well and it would defo quickly become my new fav game!!
As a Lakota Id like to add that I want to see a pokemon game like that. Did you know that Celebi was based on Kokopeli, Braverary was based on the Thunderbird. Xatu was based on a totem pole.
I think similar to Arceus you have 2 rival clans/families/factions named the black and white clans, one from unova and one from galar whose leaders are descended from the twin heroes. It references the revolutionary war without directly having a war because pokemon. Also have them have a mysterious white and black stone that has been in their families for generations that of course end up being zekrom and reshiram. Also have a separate faction called the plasma clan who search for kyurem to help them free the pokemon from their owners and they feel as though humans use pokemon to make their lives easier and are using them as tools.
They will defitnitely make more Legends games which is exciting because there is so much lore and history to explore in the other regions. From Johto and the Burnt Tower to Kalos and the Kalos War and then Unova with the original dragon. This is such an exciting idea to think about
Please make more possible legends videos! This was super super interesting and the art was amazing! Thank you.
I think more Unova content in general could actually help expand the Unova region overall. As a New Yorker I would love to see them take on adapting the Bronx and Staten Island into Unova. Let alone we could see more lore on the Swords of Justice, maybe get more Regis. Hell even new regional forms of Legendary Beasts like Alleios Entei, Suicune, and Raikou becoming Dark, Fairy, and Psychic respectively.
If I may add on my own pitch:
Through your adventure, you work with a geologist/cartographer called Richter (who bears a striking resemblance to Archie and Kukui) and end up briefly at odds with a pirate crew captained by Alexa (who looks slightly similar to Maxie and very similar to Juniper). After a bit of a quest, Alexa takes a liking to you, and she and (most of) her crew join the colonists, leading her to meet Richter, and the both experience love at first sight. Why do this? Simple, it would force Archie and Maxie into the same family tree, which would be hilarious for them to discover in a future game.
Considering Unova is based on, at least parts of, the US, I think it makes more sense for a Legends game to take place before the currecnt settlers arrived, so similar to the Diamond and Pearl clans from Legends Arceus, who have lived in Hisui for centuries before the Galaxy Team arrived, this will focus on Native American-inspired tribes. We might still see the new settlers, but I'd like for their natives to get some more focus this time.
But that's the thing. Unova is only grograhpically based on the US. It's history is completely different. We see tons of ancient ruins, and nothing looks like native culture. We also know that the familial lines of people from 2500 years ago are still present and in influential positions. It makes zero sense to shiehorn a colonization plot. At best you can have a new beginning plot of sorts with the creation of current unova, but nothing in the unova games indicates a possible colonization plot
Unova is on the way to make its debut once again after a long time, which I grew up with. Gen 5 is my favorite game, Samurott is my favorite starter pokemon and Unova is my favorite region. Even though some people still, kind of hate some pokemon in this gen. It sure the last gen to introduced the biggest collection of pokemon.
Yeah you think 🤔 there is going to be a black ⬛️and white ⬜️ remake on Nintendo Switch happen in 2023 and legends unova
Id prefer a black and white 3 or a remaster of both 1 and 2 instead of just a black and white remake
@Bryce Theobald what the fuck does that have to do with my reply
Nobody hates this gen anymore lmao
Bryce. While I understand where your coming from, I rather they not make an remake of Gen. 5 that's " faithful " to the original like they did with the Gen. 4 remake. I rather they make an Legend sequel to Unova or heck; I even take Black 3 & White 3, than an actual remake.
I think a Unova Legends game would be the perfect place to try out a different starter type trio with Roggenrola, Klink, and Litwick. The Klink and Litwick lines are already strong contenders for Unova's version of Hisui Forms, and since Boldore normally evolves when traded, it would be cool to see an alternate form that has a level-based evolution completely different from Gigalith.

I know we were like.. just in the Galar region, but I’d love a Pokémon Legends Darkest Day. See Eternatus at full power, maybe see the time of Calyrex’s reign, all that good stuff

"The Original Dragon is recreated or reformed..."
etc.
Actually, I think your big goal would be to split the Dragon in the first place, like when we see the Original Dialga//Palkia Forme in Legends: Arceus...
You get to hear stories from people throughout Ancient Unova (I can't remember what you called it.), about the Twin Princes, and their dragon. Maybe you rise up to meet them during their 'fateful' duel, and witness the tail end of the dragon splitting apart.
You choose a side--Join the Younger Brother in his quest for Ideals, or Join the Older Brother in his quest for Truth...*
(*Effectively mirroring taking Irida or Adaman with you to Spear Pillar & facing Palkia/Origin Dialga or Dialga/Origin Palkia.)
Then the brothers battle, it's super cinematic and movie-like, and when they realize they're evenly matched, you are tasked with helping one or the other, OR hunting for the third piece... Kyurem.
Maybe a split in the story allows you to create the first "DNA Splicers" if you choose to go after Kyurem?
Either way, you eventually obtain all the dragons, and rebuild it. Either Kyurem activates both stones? or somehow the twins hold the keys to make the dragon after they realize their mistakes (and the Region is bathed in Freezing fire and Frozen lightning...)

The Pokémon draws power from within, and activates a secondary Type when using this attack.
The Pokémon focuses all its power into a concentrated burst that hits all opponents in battle; regardless of if that opponent is in a semi-invulnerable turn of a move.
{This attack additionally applies a paralysis, frostbite, or burn on the target.}
Depending on the status applied; Burn, Paralysis, or Frostbite--The dragon gains the -/Fire, -/Electric, or -/Ice Type.
This effect lasts until the Pokémon uses the move again and gets a different status, OR the user attacks with a different moce.
I think If i had to chose Kalos would be my top pic, just because i wanna se what happened with the creation of megas, the ultimate weapon, more xerneas and yveltal stuff
I'd love to see Legends Unova cover imperialism since Black and White made it a point to make the evil team morally ambiguous instead of outright bad (at least until the end, and even then most of Team Plasma wasn't on Ghetsis's side), so they could do the same thing but with the settlers that you'd work for and that they might not actually be good
I can also imagine some sort of blunderbuss type item as a new mechanic the reference to the old-timey hunting aspect from the early settlers. It can be used as a way to stun pokémon or shoot out a net to battle multiple of pokémon at once probably for some sort of extra reward.
I thunk up a lore when you were explaining:
The the twin heroes ( the mc and the rival) visit all the villages and argue about Ideals vs truth. This escalates quickly and eventually the villages are divided and fighting. The mc, to stop this, came to zekrom(or reshiram whichever you prefer)and asked its help to which it agreed. The rival also does this, and battled you with it. When the mc wins they both went neutral. After a week or so the rivals stumble upon the remains of the og dragon, kyuerem and both of the rivals' legendaries respond to kyuerem and merge into the og dragon and in the end they came to the conclusion that life is about both ideals and truth.
Maybe in the postgame you can go quell the og dragon's fury and conquer it.
i kinda imagine the original dragon having four legs and wings. we only got salamance as a traditional four legged dragon. an eastern dragon would also be cool
While I'd love to see the Colonial times get explored in Pokémon, I think a more palatable period to set a Unova-based Legends game in would be the Old West. Specifically, what I call Legends: Victini would be set during the twilight years of the Old West, where the protagonists try to find their place in a world where vigilante Trainers and Ride Pokémon are slowly being replaced by the first Pokémon Rangers and the rapid creation of railroads, perhaps even falling in with groups of Trainers who want to make one last grand capture before they shuffle off. Basically, think of a less grim version of Red Dead Redemption.

Yes, do a video like this for all regions.....origin of the pokedex, gym battles and past forms would be amazing.
Legends Unova could basically be Pokemon's own SMT game (Shin Megami Tensei), where there's different endings the game can finish on based on whatever you choose Truth or Ideals (Reshiram or Zekrom). Hell, there could even be more branching paths where the Original Dragon doesn't split up and/or you choose Kyurem.

Your concept for a regional variant of Blaziken is so cool! I'd totally pick Torchic as my starter if it had an inspiration as cool as this!

I would absolutely love to see a "Legends: Unova" game. For me it's a very difficult decision between Chespin and Torchic. Because Chesnaught is my favorite Grass starter, but I love both of their regional forms very much. I'd really enjoy seeing other "Legends" videos for other regions.

@@uepa4986 It would for this game.
@@XanderMander006 how?
He should turn this into its own series like he did with Pokemon Cardinal. Where he narrates you through the story of the game.
I love your ideas!!! unova is my favorite region and I would love to see more of this potential game in your videos!
I think this should be more of a fighting oriented game, and maybe u dont catch pokemon but u befriend them or something (like every pokemon has a quest where at the end they will join u or something)so that catching is harder or something. This way we can go further back.
Btw i dobt thibk GF will do the settlibg idea as its a lil controversial to be a literal colonizer
Imagine a Pokémon Legends taking place 1000 years in the future when Pokémon turned into super advanced robots.
pokemon horizons? maybe not pokemon turned into cyborgs but id LOVE a cyberpunk pokemon game set in the future
No, that sounds terrible, might as well make a metabots game that would make more sense than robot pokemon
@@limeyell0w945 set it in ultra space instead, making use of existing assists instead of forcing a completely new layer of lore into the distant future
@@bri1085 that would be cool too :D
@@limeyell0w945 Guzzlord's ultra world is pretty cyberpunk, and ultrametropolis
That Feraligatr is really cool! Seeing it before the explanation of its origin made me think of the oldwives tale of "the alligators in the sewers", since the ghost type could mean that it could disappear in order to not be seen, making it seem like a fable instead of an actual presence.
That chestnaught though! So cool!
I keep coming back to this video because it's just so cool an origin. It literally healed itself from poison by becoming immune to it!
You could make a series out of the concept. My idea for a legends game would be a legends Alola based on when the first ultra beasts came to the region
That would be the best option actually
Surprised that you didn't bring up that the newest gen and the past two gens would have strong presences in past Unova. Those unaware, England, France, & Spain were present on the east coast of the US during the colonization of the US. Pair that with the Natives and you can easily explore the influences of them mixed together early on. And possibly also introducing us to the next gen after the new one as Unova is heavily based off of NYC, which wasn't established by the English, French, or Spanish, but the Dutch, which was the last major power to have colonies and was also very present in Japan. This would expand a bit further on any relations set up with the new games between Kalos & the new gen's region, but also expand on their influence elsewhere at the time.
This is exactly where my mind went. Sadly, I don’t know how possible it is. I have a feeling that the next Legends game will be Unova and relatively soon, so I doubt that they will include the SV starter as one choice. It seems like they want to give attention to starters who haven’t been as popular in recent years. If they did, they would be awesome!
It would've been cool if instead he chose the starters to be one from Galar, Kalos, and one from the new region. I think it would have made a lot of sense.
@@andrewgarrett968 Not on the starters, but many of the characters we'd see and some of the Mons who'd have Unova variants be influenced from these settlers. This would be crucial as many of the settlers would also form companies as extensions of the countries. There is quite a bit one can set up and notably, we also see Hisuian Zoarark in SV, which has to be obtainable in the game to be transferable. Which works out as notably, SV's region including Portugal ties back to Japan which can explain why we'd see imports of three Japanese starters and possibly one from Alola.
.... you do know that the America's had a past before Spain found it, right?
I mean, you could just as easily have the game set when Vikings found North America. There has been speculation about just how far south they travelled, given they called North American Vineland after grape growing, but grapes can't grow properly in Newfoundland due to the short growing season.
Yeah the “Legends” game being based in the colonial era was a weird choice.
Possible quests can also involve the Klinklang line and the Beeheeyem line. The dex entries for them said they were discovered in the recent past. But since this takes places further than that, maybe they already have existed but the mission was stated as witness accounts.
So for Klinklang, maybe some anomalies in the rocks in Chargestone cave have been discovered and strange noises were heard after this happened.
As for the Beeheeyem line, to match up with its alien theme, a nearby base or town has reported disappearances of people and Pokemon, and it is up to you to find the recent disappearance before it's too late.
That... was surprisingly well thought out. Good job.
Legends kyurem mayhaps, this videos amazing and all the ideas are so cool and work perfectly keep it up
Thanks a lot! 😊
Pokemon Legends Hoops. A Game Based Around You Going Back In Time To Meet Hoops When He Was Still Mostly A Music Channel.
I’d play the heck out of that 👀
All of the new varieties are cool but I would choose that Feraligator. That's amazing
Seeing how the "what if there was another Legends game" concept is managed in this video makes me want more! The artists you commissioned did a great job showcasing and designing what a game set in Unova's past would be like, at least a piece of it anyway. The new Pokémon (regional forms and dragon) though are something I'd love to see become official.
Now, I wonder who else would get a regional form there...
I think it makes more sense to set the game in the wild west era of US history, a bit before the turn of the 20th century, so about 100 years in the future from when you were thinking. Not only would that be right around the time of the events in Hisui but it would also be able to avoid hot button topics like colonization, slavery, and the attempted genocide of indigenous people more than if it were set around the time of the revolutionary War and could provide fun gameplay with cowboys and outlaws and Castelia City could be in the Gangs of New York type of aesthetic. It would be built up enough to make the city and a few towns interesting but also leave a ton of nature to explore. Also, I could see it leading to new forms or evolutions of pokemon like Miltank, Tauros, and Bouffalant.
If we do get a Legends Unova games, we need some way to get the Fossils. Also, if the original Dragon can swap between Electric, Fire and Ice, it should learn Tri-Attack; which is a combination of Fire, Ice and Electric.
In a Pokémon legends unova, I would expect to see hundreds of never before seen Pokémon from unova’s ancient past
And most importantly, the original dragon
The only problem with your questionable preferred time period is that not many people are gonna want to re-explore the colonization of stolen land that followed with genocide of basically an entire race of people. Sorry to be the one to break it to you. Besides, Pokémon already has tons of native American inspirations for Pokémon. If they went about it the right way it would be pretty nice.
I LOVE the regional evolutions!! Great concepts, somebody at GF gotta hire you
I loved the character designs for hilbert and hilda’s ancestors
I don’t know if I want Unova to be the sequel to legends.
I’d actually like to see Kanto get a return in a legends style and have it be called “Pokemon Legends-Mew”
Opening being a kid and his people being stuck in a storm on a ship and saved by Mew using psychic and left in pallet town, before it was pallet town.
I’d want the game to be also a little more battle focused over just catching. A fractured Kanto with different tribes and goal is getting control of the region by taking down the bosses.
How many Kanto games do we need...?
I would absolutely love it if you could please do more videos talking about what Legends games for the remaining 6 regions could be like!
I think a Legends game based off of late 20's America would be a much more interesting setting than Colonial America. Aesthetically it could make for one of the most gorgeous pokemon games to date with the art deco architecture and would also tie into the Ideals vs Truth aspect of the region. You could have one faction being idealistic and frivolous with their wealth thinking that the area will always be prosperous while the other faction has realized the truth of the situation and that if things continue it will throw them all into an economic collapse or something. Idk I think that would make for a really cool pokemon game, either that era or like late 1800's world fair kinda era with a Tesla kinda character fighting for truth while an enemy character is fighting for ideals idk I would love either honestly
Agreed. 1920's Unova would be AWESOME
I feel like a Legends game based in the Johto region would make an amazing story and game
Maybe we can see how the sinjoh ruins we're made
And also the original forms of the legendary dogs
This concept is sooo interesting! I think the time period would be a fun setting and different enough to be standout compared to legends
This sounds sick, love the starter picks
If the idea of the plot is to expand instead of complete the Pokédex, I think it would be kind of cool to have to capture the Pokémon of the area to settle the land.
I'd love if this region came to existence. Maybe, like the Team Galactic/Galaxy Exploration Team, they could make a "good" team Plasma as well. And the villan of the game could be related to the professor of the region. I dunno, I've always thought an evil professor would be an interesting concept.
One change I would have is you choose one of the 4 protagonists in the game. Each one would have noticable but small differences in gameplay. With the Blazakin I'd give a choice early on to have the evolution be done with a split, it evolves normally but if you give it an electric stone before the first evolution it goes fire/electric.
I LOVE your designs for the starters. 10/10
And type combinations
A guy here made his own version of Legeds Unova around here in the form of trailers
i agree a lot with your thoughts about new legends game :)
Dude a Gen 5 Prequel would be so awesome, but such an original dragon would power creep Pokemon competitive to death.
You should collab with that guy who made the Legends: Celebi concept to bring this to life.
Love the idea of re-unifying the dragon and creating settlements. The dragon design is awesome. I'd really like to see Grookey, Chimchar, and Froakie as the starters though. Just because I like them and also don't think the starters should be Pokemon based on American animals, but immigration instead.
i think legend kalos would be great chance to bring back mega evolutions
I wonder how pokemon would be able to Mega Evolve since the keystones nor mega stones were made yet. Maybe they could be old base forms that devolved, or there are special objects like The Sundial that can make pokemon Mega Evolve.
In concept everything here looks pretty solid, the one thing that I think would be different if GF were to execute this the same way would be the starters, don't need to change them but their typings for the final evos since those have (for a while now) been made to be complementary types to reinforce or balance the rock/paper/scissors relationship the starters have (the Arceus ones are Ghost, Dark and Fighting so it applies there) so to make it similar at the very least Feraligatr should change to a type like Grass instead of Ghost since it resists Electric, such as Electric resists Steel and Steel resists Grass (it would be a reference to swamps where you usually find crocodiles)
I remember working on my own concept for legends victini and while making I happened to use a totodile chespin and chimchar for my starters with a just teeny tiny coincidence that the chesnaught form concept I made was also grass steel.
I had the exact same idea for the setting, but for starters I would go with
Sceptile (Grass Fairy) and the theme of Native Americans and their closeness with nature
Delphox (Fire Dark) and the theme of the Salem witch trials
Intelleon (Water Poison) and the theme of gun slinging cowboys
The nature connection's a bit racist...
@@harrietr.5073 I didn’t really think about that I’m sorry
a Legends Celebi would also be a likely candidate, I could even see it be a sequel to arceus directly, you traveling from Hisui to Johto maybe to the Sinjoh ruins etc. (I just really want a sequel game like black2/white2 again)
An idea for this game could be Kyurem, Reshiram and Zekrom are fused into one being, but its unstable, so you have to use the DNA splicers to fuse them together to make the Original Dragon again, thus stopping whatever chaos their unstable fusion causes. This could also lead to the unstable fusion being Ice/Dragon like regular Kyurem, while the perfected fusion could be Dragon and like Fairy or Steel as those are some of the best typings in Pokemon and would fit a creature as powerful as the Original Dragon.
To be frank with everyone here I'd LOVE a legends Unova. The Sinnoh games (heart gold and soul silver included) were basically the bait that lured me into the world of pokemon, but it was Pokemon white version that reeled me in. Unova is where I felt I belong in the pokemon world, and it's also where my favorite pokemon was first introduced to the world. To go there again in a legends game....I think I might cry if that were to happen.
a good mix of ideas here, but I think if you are coming directly from Galar one of the starters should be from Galar as well. just a though! this video had a lot of fun ideas to brainstorm over!
I have a small problem with the alleosan forms of the starters. In PLA, the secondary special typings that the starters gain form a sort of "secondary typing circle" which isn't followed in this new game, though I do find interesting your reasons to choose the typing you chose. Other than that, the idea of this game sounds great, though!
I was just thinking this. Fire hits grass steel for 4×, water hits fire electric for neutral, and grass hits water ghost 2× on top of electric hitting water ghost for 2×. With all this in mind, this new Blaziken comes out ahead of the other 2 starters
As someone who was introduced to the world of pokemon through the gen 5 games, I really like this concept!
Yo, this idea is BRILLIANT!! I want more!!
