The V2 has the 1900kv motor and 80amp esc too, the eflite v3 has an 85amp spektrum

I just recently picked up the Viper 15th Anniversary by FMS and I wish I knew this was coming soon. I like the Paint and my Model had crappy front gear out of the box . Took me a while to figure it out but I’m thinking HH would have put out a higher quality control plane . Who ever put my nose assembly together,mine must have been there 1st one. Sloppy !!! 😢

Great video as always you guys. Would love to upgrade to an EDF jet at some point in the future. Still only have flown my XK Trojan so probably need a more intermediate aircraft before I make the jump to a jet.
Also I really like the drone footage you guys are throwing in the videos. More of that please!
The FMS 15th And was the best upgrade. It got pretty much everything ppl wanted. Eflite missed the bar here when they could've exceeded FMS and added LEDs and a brand new colour scheme not just putting Orange where there used to be Blue. They basically just raided FMS parts bin and changed the ink on the stickers. Personally they shouldv made a new mold, made it slightly larger so a 4000 fits in easily and added LEDs.
Certainly respect your viewpoint here. However, when I compared the two to near mental exhaustion, a couple of key points came up. First off, FMS makes many if not all the EF planes, so yes the molds [models] are the same (so FMS did not upgrade anything over the EF version). But, the FMS is a wiring nightmare, and it is next to impossible to get a gyro receiver installed without significant brain damage. The FMS does not have thrust reverse or a nice receiver either; and to your point, neither has lights - which, I agree is a mistake. The Freewing Bae Hawk does have lights, and it is a serious contender in this class. Although, I do agree the livery on the FMS is better. I almost bought it for that reason alone. 2 cents worth is all. Happy flying!

Its a little hard to tell for sure when you're watching on a cellphone, but the upgraded motor seems to give the new version a better sound to me.
Any comments from you, Nate? Or from anybody watching on a computer with a better sound profile than my phone?

That 15 year anniversary version I know does have the nicer landing gear. I’m not sure I owned any previous to that one though. I’m glad to see these upgrades on these EDFs!! Very welcome improvements 👍💯❤️😎⚓️

@TheRcSaylors I am not sure if the Viper I had was FMS or not, but it had the green camouflage paint job and the spring gear.
@@TheRcSaylors Yes, the Spring landing gear is so much superior it saves the plane from flipping upside down on landing.

I ordered a 4s 14.8 volt battery Zeee battery for my helicopter. I received it and the balance wires have 5 plus a ground ,and the connector is bigger than my other batteries it didn't come with xt60 connector, has something different. I think they sent the wrong one. But it is 4s . 5200 mah that is ok for my bird. can I use that battery still if I change it to the xt 60 connector so I can plug it in.
Strange. You sure it’s 4S? It if has 5 plus a ground, I’d think that’s a 5S, which is more valuable. Might sell that one and come out ahead a little bit? ⚓️

E-flite _ Viper 70mm EDF orange Has trust reverse. if you want al you have Spektrum 8 or 10. Wtch Brian Phillips when he prog. the NX10
Look inside this one and inside the FMS 70mm viper 15 aniversary. It is the exact same model just with other colors. The FMS is cheaper. The whole plane is a FMS mold. But hey.. horizon hobby sell fms planes so i guess they work together😊
Ofc its same since FMS makes planes for HH but to be honest this has way better color and its BNF. I have 90mm FMS Viper but if i will be buying 70mm i will pick this one just cause of color.

Bought this, and putting the wings on was a nightmare. Horizon states it takes less time than charging a battery. Only if charging a battery takes over 4 hours. I finally removed all the factory extensions in the fuselage and substituted my own. Their 3-way gear extension went bad in the process, but I had one in my spare parts inventory.
Mine went on like warm butter, super easy
Sounds like you need help. Next time watch a build video. If putting in screws took you over 4hours. This might be too advanced for you
3200mah is not the only thing that will fit in there, I fly mine on roaring top 4000mah 6s. You’re welcome 😉
This is the same Viper as the new FMS 15th anniversary edition version. However, it just doesn’t come with the receiver but other than that and the color scheme it is the same plane.

Yeah prices in this hobby have gotten nutty.
i began to hate Eflite. they proposed new products by lots and in few months/2 years after, they will be discontinued and impossible to get the replace parts (fuselage, wing, landing....).
Bro? How long are you looking to keep a foam plane for. 2yrs is pretty decent. Do you need them to have replacement parts for 5 years or something? Just buy 2 of the same planes each time then. Problem solved. Thank me later.
