This is probably Nate's most impressive RC jet flight ever!!! This rc edf jet is the E-Flite Viper 90mm and boy is it impressive!!! This massive EDF screams through the air and can pull of some incredible aerobatic maneuvers. Flying on 6s power, we would not recommend this RC for beginners; however, with safe technology an intermediate pilot should be able to handle it and build up their skills enough to be able to tear up the skies with this giant rc jet!

The single biggest thing I appreciate about your videos is the fact you are not to proud to admit to using and liking SAFE. So many pilots on CZcams and the field turn their noses up when it comes to SAFE. I figure that when a person has that much money tied up in a chunk of foam or balsa use every tool in your box. Doesn’t mean the whole flight has to be in SAFE. Thank you

Hey Nathan, just a FYI, the Viper IS a real personal sport jet, and E Flight has nailed it. Beautiful flight on a great looking model. Love your videos and props to Abby, the best RC camera work on CZcams.

I bought the habu jet. Took it to the field and it won't fly lol. I am sending it back to be diagnosed and either fixed or they will send a new one. Hope it's a fast turn around because season is almost over lol. Btw love this jet to. Keep up the good work and may god continue to bless y'all and your family.

I have just got back home first time in almost 5 years but IV been watching your videos and I was really impressed with you until I started to buy my first jet I watched a video that u said 200 or lower nice bigger jet look I see no use in buying something can't even see in air u had one that had safe tech that I had made up my mind but I still haven't found this unfindable plane but anyway I wish it were true starting lose my want they told me as got out of military 18 years I had to find something to keep me well anyway but like I said I wish I find these deals y'all say are out there but hey all is good I do enjoy your videos you are lucky have a wife to support your fun time hope mine does she will hey y'all are really uplifting and it's rare in today's world y'all give me some faith back in people again being a ranger I got pretty cold but thank y'all hope you this y'all are amazing even if I can't get one of these deals good luck god speed

Finally got mine maidened today. I was a joke. It’s a 90mm trainer. It’s like flying in Safe, without being in Safe. It has a super roll rate even in med rates. (85/30) I’m not sure I added any trim. I tried different battery positions with the 5000 and 6000. Didn’t matter where the battery was, it just flew straight and level. Might be the easiest plane/edf ever to land. It was kind of boring to fly. Most of my maidens are more eventful, scary, a struggle. This jet just flies itself. I’ll do some inverted and some high alpha next time, but overall my thought while flying was similar to the Apprentice s-15 eight years ago.

I just got comfortable flying all of my planes and I have the same problem with choosing which plane I fly. It usually comes down to flipping a coin to see which one I fly.
I saw the knife edge challenge. I see all your videos. So I did a challenge of my own today. 5:30 inverted with the Opterra. I had to land because I was out of time on the timer. I believe you can do it.
On the HH Viper 90mm promo video it says 2x4000mah or 2x5000mah batteries can be used. Have you tested it with either configuration? Im curious how long the flight times would be and how the performance would be also.

I have an eFlite Turbo Timber Evolution, and a NX6.
I would like to buy a Viper 90 and wondering if it is possible to use my NX6 to fly it and use both Safe/Select/AS3X selection and reverser with my NX6.
Viper instruction manual says we can couple Flaps and SafeSelect in order to have Flaps Down Safe ON, Flaps Half Safe ON, Flaps Up, Safe OFF and AS3X ON.
I tried this on my TTE but I can only have Flaps Down Safe ON, Flaps Half Safe OFF, Flaps Up, Safe OFF, as I see there is a threshold value of 88 to have Safe Select ON, therefore Flaps Half (Zero value) triggers a SafeSelect OFF.
HorizonHobby explained that this is not working with my TTE as it will only work with the Viper due to different flaps mechanics.
As this looks to me an electronic issue, have you the chance to crosscheck this?! Thanks a lot!!
Got my Viper 90mm together. For some reason my flap servos are running "HOT"! All the others are fine. It would be odd that that both flap servos are bad. You have any suggestions? I'm running a Frsky system.

It looks so nice but I couldn't get my hands on one and it's to expensive. Had to settle for a Freewing at half the price as my first EDF.
If I like to fly jets I will get the 90mm Viper in the future.
50000mAh @ 30c = 150 amps and 4000mAh @ 50c = 2000 amps. 4000 will give more punch and top end and 5000 will give a more lower amp draw with a longer flight time... and your description is perfect! This does look scale. Have you ever seen an Aero L-39 Albatros? Very similar. Do a search.
I like the mini educational part. Please add these to your future vids. If we don't already know it it's a nice refresher. I guess a 50c would last longer than a 100c as it can't be drained as quick too. I also noticed the G2 lipos are heavier than G1 cos of the extra metal in them them dissipate the heat more effectively.

Ya no doubt the 90mm version of the Viper is incredible. The Viper is a scale jet. Both vipers are models of the Viper civilian sport jet.

Do you plan on setting up reverse thrust to shorten landings or no? You guys have a huge runway so its not like you need to but thought I'd ask
You know, I keep forgetting this has reverse thrust as an option! I really do need to try setting it up. Maybe after my repairs and while I’m tinkering on it I will try that 👍😁😎⚓️
You don't need reverse thrust on this Viper. Also, reverse thrust is not recommended for RC Jets in general, unless you want to suck in debris. This Viper need no more than 150' to land, without RT.
just ordered this because I had 425 dollars worth of points. Paid 132 dollars for it out of pocket. can't go wrong lol
Remove the ventral fins when you obviously like to snaproll. They have no function on this model, other than drag😉..
The fin is more than enough for stabilisation.
And if you want speed, add hard balsa or spruce to make trailing edge go down to zero, not 3-4mm like it's made..
I could add more improvements on in about stall and wingdrop, wich is it's Achilles heel..
