To me, Ko Aung Zaw was well prepared with his questions. The style was reminiscent of Charlie Rose or Jim Lehrer. Great discussion!

Excellent, but talking about politics and growing economy don't forget Myanmar's Buddhist culture and Myanmar's nature/ecology.

I think the interviewer should come more prepared and organized. not even sure if it's an interview or a discussion. 1st time finding questions in answers.

First of all, why is this interview has done in english? Does aung zaw doing interview for foreign audience with improper questions to a ph.d technocrat?
Why can't he set up in Burmese language ? They can obviously speak Burmese and it will certainly benefit for all of those fellow Burmese.

While Aung Zaw has to refer to his notes, Thant Myint-U has everything in his mind; Remarkable.

Considering that Aung Zaw's mother tongue is not English and English is obviously not his first language, I believe his English is excellent even though he refers to notes. You cannot compare him with Thant Myint -U who, like me, had a good foundation in English back in the 40's and 50's. C'mon, Let's be fair.

The interviewer should learn how to do interviews properly. Some interviews questions are radiculously too long. Such interviewers would be sacked immediately if they are conducting such interviews on BBC, CNN etc. It sounds like he is practising for an English speaking test. I advise to learn from major news network how to conduct interviews properly.
