I have never seen a better analysis of Burma than this one. It is an honor to have someone who is this active both politically and economically for Burma. Thant Myint U will inspire this generation and many generations to come with his rational explanation.

      Yan Win Phyo
He is active politically? What is he doing now. In fact, I ask if this lackey (Thant Myint-U) could have predicted what is going on in Burma since Fen 2, 2021?

Dr Thant, First of all, I would like to show my profound appreciation to you for putting such a relentless effort in preventing our Yangon treasures & heritage from being completely raped. You have also skilfully manoeuvred to work from within and yet able to convince positive changes. Up to now I couldn't find any rationalisation why the Governor's residence & the Jubilee hall was demolished. It was completely insane. The Jubilee hall was our Royal Albert Hall's equivalent, a renowned international venue for humanity exchange of classical music & Philharmonic orchestras. You had given a very candid & frank talk of on present Burma & her past and I agree with most of your views with few reservations. Hope that the reform is still on course.

I think maybe Mr Thant Myint or Mr Myint Than should run for a President of Myanmar in election 2020.

I am so disappointed he is talking half-truth. He seems to be proud of the fact that millions of Burmese people migrate to neighboring states in search of work - most of the work are called 3Ds jobs (dirty, domestic, dangerous). The people have been leaving since in the last 2 or 3 decades due lack of job opportunity in the country. He talks the migration is due to Thein Sein's reform agenda.
