- Yup! Steven Universe may be over, but Steven Universe content will never die! And as a special little nostalgia trip, let's go all the way back to Season 1 for a special Toon Words or Less! While this may not be my favorite season, it does have some of the most iconic episodes in the series, so let's have some fun!

@RandomGuyOnTheInternet46 Yeah, I can see it being the best episode of the whole Season, just not the whole series. There's a bunch of other episodes that can make it to that "best of the entire series" mark like Change Your Mind, Reunited, etc.

As amazing as Jailbreak is, my favourite episode is Rose's Scabbard where we get a closer look of Pearl's feelings, AKA my favourite character

Bruh when I was 12 first seeing Jasper Infinity shank Garnet when she first showed up I literally couldn't stop crying for 3 hours
Finaly someone who dislikes keep beach city weird for that reason, a lot of people hated this episode just because of Ronaldo's behavior, my reason was exactly what you said, the only part I realy liked about that episode was the begining. honestly I kinda wished that this episode would have bean just a fun little episode about Steven and the gems playing Steven tag tbh, that would be much more enjoyable then what we got instead
One of the favourite episodes is definitely "The Message" as it has a very different tone to really anything in series 1. Its not overly quirky or eccentric, nor is it overly disturbing or dark. Its the lull before the storm and it works perfectly as that in my opinion, bridging the gap between the more laid back feeling that was developed in series 1 and the future development of Homeworld as an antagonistic force. And even though I love the music in all the show, I think it was best it was left out, it adds to a sense of semi-unease and grounded-ness. I also love the small arc of Greg feeling useless in the way of literal super-powered space aliens, and realising he has worth before the Ominous message from Lapis which perfectly ends the episode with a feeling of imminent dread.

Jailbreak isn't my favourite episode but it is the most iconic to me since i actually discovered the entire show through a stronger than video on yt and properly joined the fandom around the time sadie's song aired
I am the 67th like on this video and still zero dislikes as of this moment. I don’t know about a ranking yet, but just about any Connie episode is good. On the run, Rosa scabbard, and the return/jailbreak will probably be in my top 10 or less list for the season.

The Test is also the first time that the seeds are planted to future’s plot line. Steven, for the first time, doesn’t put himself first and prioritizes the gems. You can argue it was a moral thing to do for that episode but the fact that the gems NEVER find out about this is indicative that it also is the point where Steven learns his problems aren’t as important as others… chilling

I watched all of Steven universe, including future and the movie, over the span of 3 days with almost no sleep. It was fun!
The Test was a great episode, full stop. For the characters, in a realistic setting, that makes the most sense. But while I never think that a harsh truth is always a good thing, I also think that the truth *is* important, and further, that in every situation that would be solved with an easy lie, there is some way to deliver the truth to get the same, or even a better, result.
(This is only the case when dealing with people who care for you, or that you care for. I'm obviously not talking about sworn enemies here.)
While an amazing episode from a character perspective, The Test gets a small minus to the overall ranking for indirectly teaching that lesson of an easy lie fixing all problems. (I'd give you the exact way Steven could have worded things that would be most likely to get a positive result, but I don't have the episode exactly on hand right now.)
Now we actually get foreshadowing.

I hated keep beach city word to because Ranoldo was blaming the Crystal gems for everything and Steven liked the video and he could have told Ronaldo about the diamonds, but NO and Steven wheat along with al of knowing it wasn’t true + he also dressed up in a costume to make Ranoldo believe his theory was right after he explained how it was WRONG !!! This episode was DUMB no - offence
