- This just a recording of my 68/83 mini..
1380, cams, straight-cut gears, straight through exhaust (no cat), coil springs, sway bars, KYB gas shocks, 13-inch 3-piece wheels (staggered...2.5-inch lip in front,3.5-inch lip in the rear.... etc
My car was featured in the June 2009 issue of Mini World.

Ive been in the classic mini scene for years and have owned 3. ... Modified and worked on them all.... Its the whole point!! Too modify and make it ypur own.... I had one kept original but the other 2 i modded same as 2 of my mates

sounds like mine.. mine has a rally cam so its very lumpy.. sounds mental, although a little loud as the manifold is blowing again..

Dude there's more parts available for minis than just about any other car known to man, try miniworld, minifinity, minispares, maniflow, z-cars, moorspeed, avonbar, vmax, look at stage tuning kits, engine conversions etc, if oyu are gonna get a mini, insure it with specailist mini insurance companies, any other company wont have a clue. good luck man, hope you get one!

same here.... i want a mini real bad as well as my first car.... i just want the cheapest one possible but it has 2 be in good running condition 4 at least 3-4 years....after that hopefully il enough money to get started with mods....wud loooove 2 put a bike engine in it : )

hey dude. nice mini, iv just bought one, what wheels are they as im still stuck for what wheels to buy.
I have my MK 3 on the way from England, but it still has the original 998. Love the sound of this one... I plan on spending time getting the body where it belongs, the suspension, the brakes, the electrical gremlins, then finally move on to a new engine. Mini Owners of America? How do I get information on that and possibly joining? Great mini...

Ive got one and im 6 foot 4 which is pretty much 190 cm so yeah you should get in one without any trouble.....as long as you don't mind a slight lack of headroom haha

i have an old mini just a laugh a red top in it took some moddin but goes in surprisingly easy strip it out so it wieghs next to nothing kaboom you have a death trap

@MrJackWaters im in the same position, for me a 998cc example would cost me about £1900 and i wouldnt advise not declaring mods, but if theyre small enough you can always get away with them, even if they come round to check they wont notice a faster cam or bigger valved cylinder head ;)
