If I were ever to do any mods to a 450 pickup I’d run super singles in the rear which would require you to be at 40” tires all around and probably 6” of lift for that would be the way I’d go.
I’m wanting a big lift and 40s. I think bigger axles and 4.30 gear is a good thing. My questions are can I get some type of “super single” conversion for the real duals? I dislike how wide dually wheels tend to get with 37+ setups plus I think itd turn even better. Second Q is does the front fender provide more vertical clearance as well? I dont recall there being a need to level my last F250 to put 35s on it. Thanks!
There plenty of aftermarket companies that have single rear conversion with wheels and tires rated for the same weight so your payload only takes a minor hit. Al thought they’re mainly only converting f550’s for overland camping and such for payload cap but off-road capabilities of the single rear wheel
The F450 will take a 285/70R19.5 (35x11) on 7.5" wide wheels without a leveling kit. If you get the right wheel offset the tires do not stick out past the fenders.
@@macbook802 If that is how the owner wants to use it then all the best to them.
