There are so many amazing species of spiders out there! I'd never heard of this one so I had to pause the video to look them up😅 Crazy that *one* spider mama made *all* those egg sacs, pretty much one right after the other. So cool!!
Youre a good person to make sure they weren't viable before casting them! Thank you for that!
It's egg-ception! Eggs, inside eggs, inside an egg! Another neat project, Ben! 👍
In a thousand years they are gonna take that stored DNA and make Spider Park!
Really gorgeous, Ben. That looks amazing. I'm not a huge fan of spiders, but I love nature. You've preserved the beauty of the egg sacks forever.
Oh my gosh Ben... those are crazy. I hope that they don't hatch in the warmth of the resin. 😂
I wrote this before the video was finished. Lol love it ❤❤
Thanks Connie 😊
I was like... "please Ben, make an egg egg, don't miss this opportunity." You came through. Love it.
I freaking love spiders! I wanna come see the Aussie babies!!!!! I have a wild garden orb weaver living in my room, it took up residence early this spring and never left so I feed it sometimes and it is literally the perfect roommate.
Anywho!!! That was an amazing project!!! Like super wow!!!!! Spider egg sacs in resin! I wanna put my saved molts and the bodies of my now passed jumping spiders in resin.
The result of the resin wetting the egg material is very pretty! It really brings out the contrast between the dark bands and the rest of the sacs.
It's impressive that such small spiders create such large structures. Given that you're in Australia... if you get bitten/stung by one of those little creatures, I bet it's *weeks* before the affected limb unexpectedly falls off. :-)
Australian nature is, for some reason, extra pissed-off. Like the flora and fauna take human encroachment especially personally. We have black widows, they have redbacks who make the American widows look like fun little cuddle-buddies in comparison. We have nettles, they have a plant that, if you brush against it, hurts like you're being burned alive and can last weeks or, some claim, even months. I wouldn't go outside there without a full suit of armor and a flamethrower.
Wow! Thanks for sharing about the spider. I love learning about different species of animals. The eggs in the egg turned out so beautiful! To see the detail in the egg sack is so sweet! 😊💜
Thanks Mel, I’m glad you liked it 😊
These looked amazing. How about using some other local fauna and flora? Maybe a set of coasters with local leaves and flowers in them? I'd be up for a set of them via your Etsy shop.
these egg sacs look pretty freaky, in a cool way, like they're from an alien or something. very cool. and i'm glad the casting came out so well - no air bubbles came out of the egg sacs.
Very cool egg. The lighted base was a great idea makes the egg sacs glow nicely. 👍
Thanks Mark 😊
Yeah, the light turned it into a full-on science museum display. I love that A) some DID hatch, and B) those gorgeous striations and the details inside show up so beautifully under the light...over the light? 😍😂🕷🕸
"Winter of Love" seems to be my Friday night bedtime song now.
Creepy yet intriguing egg.
"'Ooh, ahh.' That's how it always starts. But then later, there's running and screaming." - Ian Malcolm 😂😂😂
The grand reveal music is my favorite! I always play it back at least twice
curious question, Have you ever had a project disconnect from either the Lathe or the wasteblock when its spinning before? i dunno why that question popped into my head but its a valid one i suppose, absolutely love the websack of eggs in an egg - kinda looks like something from either Tim Burton or Jim Henson from the '90s
That was awesome. Good job Bent. Love those eggs. Made it look lika anaulled beads. Very nice. Enjoyed the movie Bend.
You do an amazing job of making eggs.
Thanks Jules
AH! I didn't think those really looked like blueberries, but your fancy lighting made it tricky 😎🕷🕸
Absolutely fascinating about the spiders and fantastic end product
I like how the sacks look translucent.
Amazing, that's one tough little lady spider 😂I like what you done with them, and to see transparency with the light is cool. Australia is blessed with a weird and wonderful bug kingdom, wouldn't like to live on spider level though 😬 Thank you, really good video 👍
That really came out quite awesome.
They look amazing in the egg.
Neat, Ben. This one was really unusual.
Bill
Have you ever considered making door nobs? I can see a house full of unique and interesting door nobs.
That's how i like spiders....gone! Yikes! That's awesome, Ben!
That looks awesome totally enjoyed the video
Thanks Beth
Beautiful work.
Wow I love that kind of stuff!
Thanks Mate 😊
Wow that’s wicked cool Ben
If you make another with these kinds of eggs, tint the resin with like a swirl of black and green, to give it an eerie alien-esque look.
Oreo cookie or any round cookie cast and turned into a sphere should do that awesome magnify effect, the close you get to the edge the better it will look but also more chance of the casting spitting.....
Could be fun right?
Also some coins, like a full marble set where each size is rep of the coin?
That is so cool looking
Thanks Stacey 😊
That's amazing golden egg spider ❤️
Those eggs are beautiful, they look like fancy chocolate truffles
So cool, Ben!!
The LED light was the perfect touch!!! Have you considered using the laser engraver to put tne QR code link to your videos on these projects? Would be fantastic for future reference.
Thanks Julie-Ann, yeah that’s a cool idea 👍
Creepy cool! I love it!
That was interesting!
The patterns on those eggs are beautiful. ❤
Awesome video Ben worx and I hope you are all well 🙂 by the way Ben worx Awesome bird dropping spider eggs
I am 100% sure I could not have resisted making a pile of them and putting a Spider-Man figure on top pooping them out.
That would be really funny.
That was a really great episode, beautiful piece of work and the subject was very interesting! You Rock Ben!!🤘
Lolol. They look like malted milk ball candies. This is, after all, coming up on Trick or Treat time 😉
This is different, amazing, interesting and beautiful in its own way.
That looks really awesome! I would be afraid to see the spider that laid those!
That’s unique 👌
Hi Ben, amazing. Spider 🕷 eggs... I was like omg ...that's a bloody huge Spider. I will be honest I'm not a fan of them right next to me but they are amazing like your eggs and the different webs they do. Beautiful done and the laser name nice. Have a great weekend.
When I saw what I believed were just the eggs, I assumed that ‘bird dropping’ meant that they were ambush hunters of birds.
When I found out that they were sacks that held lots of smaller eggs, suddenly ‘bird dropping’ meant ‘bird poop’.
That was an emotional rollercoaster for me!
It seems like most spiders would have hatched out by about 6 weeks, nevermind 6 months, especially if they weren't overwintering before hatching. I think you're safe on that front. Have you ever seen a peacock spider? AFAIK those also live in your neck of the woods, are either similarly sized or even smaller than the bird dropping spiders, and they look AWESOME!
Wow that’s wicked cool! The details with the light is amazing
That’s actually really cool. I love nature. BTW, you have the best toys.
oh wow so cool!
Looks pretty cool, Ben! Thanks for sharing your project.
Truly incredible nature can be the egg is truly amazing
That's is so cool Ben 😊😊
That turned out really neat! Looks great lit up!
Very cool.
Next time you get those spider eggs I would put them in a spiral then and reson and turn it in to a small lamp. I'm only suggesting you try it ok.
Spider balls and laser peckers! What an episode!!
I wonder if you could create another LED base but make it look like a spider with the egg sitting on top of it.
Beautiful!
Thanks Lynn 😊
That is quite unique..thanks for sharing..love your eggs
I don’t know how you can be so calm. Spiders scare the crap out of me. You’re more of a man then I am
Creepy crawler spiders 🕷 love it ❤
Since halloween is coming up try carving a small jackolantern and casting sit in resin. Maybe you could put a light in it
Wow is nature amazing 🤩 never heard of these spiders 🕷️ before so cool 😎 looks awesome ben
Wow!!!!!
2:31 cursed hidden Mickey
Interesting. I was thinking they were Malt Balls at first. Then I wondered if u ever did something in resin with Pop Rocks.
Nice egg egg.
That's groovy
You made a spider egg butplug!!😂😂😂😂😂
I’m not sure if this is cool, or creepy… 😰
Still, interesting!!!
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Now you need to do the spider.
After looking up the spider I found out it's a type of orb weaver. Similar to Florida's spiny orb weaver.
That's the best egg ever! It's creepy!
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮 spidees no likey, best place for them 👏👏👏👏👏👏 😂
As a person who is absoultely terrified of spiders, I have no clue why this popped up on my playlist >.
I see why you chose to save them they’re beautiful
How about a “Hockey” mask or “Knife” glove egg for Halloween?
I was a little worried they were gonna hatch while you was handling them and the spiderlings would crawl into your every orifice!
A random thought entered my head while watching you prep the egg sacs. Knowing that resin can yellow over time when exposed to sunlight, what would happen if a clear block of resin was exposed to a uv lamp for an extended period of time? Would it yellow or fade faster than one sitting on a shelf somewhere? Just curious.
So, those spiders that hatched are loose in your garden somewhere... 😯
Bird poo, spiders, and eggs in an egg. So unexpected; love the result!
Fantastic! Could you tell me what polishing compound you use?
I thought they were blueberries in the pic you posted the other day!
An australian spider that doesn't want to kill everything... that in itself is fascinating lol
edit: it's Eggception!!
Hi Ben, I’m after a bit of advice. I’ve been asked to make a sphere with some things cast inside it.
As you the expert I thought I would ask about the best way to go about doing it.
I need to cast a stone and some sand as well as a bit of dog fur and some grass to create a memory.
What I thought i would do is pour a base first and then glue the stone and fur to it, my question is what would be the best way to get the sand to stay where I want it when I make the second pour of resin?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Dave
😨😨 omg. Every time I hear about a new type of spider (venomous or non), or some sort of deadly creature in Australia, it only ever adds another concrete layer of reasons why visiting there will forever be a NOPE for me
💀💀💀💀💀
"LaserPecker" is actually my nick name from boot camp
Hi, Ben the 1st cutting tool you used what was it, looked liked it was a great tool Thanks how long does a project like this actually take to sand and polish. All the best from the UK
Ben you can come up with some stuff lol
😀
Man I'm a bit scared to watch this one
Hey Ben, will there ever be a cheese video?
I casted my old dog's baby teeth and my recent kitten's tooth. I also made dreadlocks out of an old cat's hair. I'm going to a Barbie.
I'm sorry........you made dreadlocks from old cat hair....... WHY😖🤢
That's pretty gross.
@@hollypierce3076 I'm a gross kinda person. I'm going to attach them a Barbie. Already got a Barbie with homemade dreadlocks. That was a task
How much time does it take to turn an egg on the lathe?
