Oh how I love burl wood. You know before you cut into that big piece it looked like a turtle to me. Lol. Couldn't of picked a better spot to make that. ❤❤❤

Wonderful ring box. I really like the effect you did on the lid and the unexpected window really set it off. I wasn't sure about the light thing when you first said it, but after seeing it displayed with a light, a permanent light definitely must happen.

i wasn't expecting such a masterpiece out of a piece of burl and clear resin! also that little window with some led looks amazing, i absolutely love the finished product. even tho you were in a rush to finish this one, you nailed it perfectly! 1000/10.
ps. i got a "cheap" ring and it turned out to be a real stainless steel one! so it's worthy to check if they can be better than just cheap things.

That came out beautifully. The ripples and window are amazing with the shapes of the burl.
i do like the look of the LEDs but i think simplicity is the right move for this piece. especially since its functional and not just a decorative object. if it was for display only then they would be a great addition of course.
wood and clear resin go so well together imo, i hope you do more projects similar to this! i dont see very many

Suggestion for an episode:have you tried setting jelly in resin?? Different ways such as: set jelly cubes, jelly crystals (from the packet straight into resin). Or old fashioned condies crystals (potassium permanganate)❤

Have you done much with Buckeye Burl? I had some gorgeous pistol grips made of buckeye Burl. It's native in the US. If I find a nice chunk I'll send it your way. I would love to see you turn some buckeye burl

I can't be the only one whose palms started sweating watching him get his fingers so close to that bandsaw blade.
I know what you mean. My heart pounds and I get so nervous seeing how close he gets to the bandsaw. It's most likely just the camera angle, but it's still nerve-wracking.
My thought was "where's the thingy"
I've been nicked a few times by bandsaw blades! I've seen a co-worker go right thru his fingers like they were butter, too. But I AM WOMAN...i have no fear! Very pretty, Ben!❤
No worries… When the first 2-5cm is Cut, direction is very stabile….

You should equip your camera with eyelashes!!!!. No joke. Sounds weird. I wonder if you made a wire frame, with wire rods that fanned out above the camera lens, super close, but curved upwards so the video wouldn't pick them up, it could potentially help catch the resin tendrils and keep the camera more clear. Like how eyelashes work for us!

Wow. I think this is the first time I have been seriously disappointed by a design choice of yours. That box is gorgeous, but the flocking gets a fail from me... :( The nice velvet pad would have been fine alone, but to cover up all the burl inside is a crime! I cringed when you said it, but I waited to see how it would turn out because you have surprised me before with wild ideas. Sadly, I just think ick! BUT the box itself is exquisite, and the window is stunningly clever. I shall forgive you.... eventually, LOL Now off to droll over eggs!
