+Airforceproud95 I used to build these. The extra weight at the tail is designed out by the fact that you have a longer fuse and nose section. Not magic, just aeronautics.

I've had a chance to fly one briefly - Very noisy, sensitive in pitch but with very heavy ailerons. Also very picky about where the load C of G was situated.

British designed some very un-conventional looking aircrafts. Perhaps it can be said that these unconventional looks are only british.
I am British but I agree in some way. Although it is unconventional, they are still EXTREMELY reliable and easy to manufacture because of their size and the simple fuselage.
