Air Clips joined Lufthansa Cargo's Captain Fokko and First Officer Johannes on a full rotation from Frankfurt (Germany) via Nairobi (Kenya) to Johannesburg (South Africa) and back on the same routing. Enjoy stunning cockpit views from 11 different cameras as well as exciting interviews with both crew members.
Captain Fokko is truly inspiring for his compassion and sharing his time for those orphans. Thanks for sharing this video and his truly noble mission for others.
I am a VERY BIG FAN of these Lufthansa flight videos. . . both passenger and cargo . . . and I am VERY IMPRESSED with the flight crews professionalism and knowledge of the different aircraft they fly. The captain of the cargo flight from Nairobi to Johannesburg impressed me with the home that he helped to establish for orphans and I hope I will be able to send a small donation in the near future. I compliment him for his efforts to do that in memory of that young man that died at the too early age of only twenty. Thank you, Captain, for sharing that with those that have viewed this video!!!!
Cpt Fokko seems like a very genuine guy and a great pilot.
He is.
What an inspiring man Captain Fokko is! Thanks so much for sharing this video.
The sheer quality of these are unbelievable the best on youtube. I can't thank you guys enough for making videos like these and sharing them. Thank you,Thank You and Thanks again!!!!
i agree with you they are so amazing!!!
I was just expecting an onboard dash cam. This turned out to be an emotional rollercoaster... lol
Captain Fokko, a great pilot. Thanks for making this video.
Ricardo Sanchez
hey... realy inspired by the professionalism... though i am a pysiotherapist by profession but my passion is avaition... so i wish i could be a part...
Thanx for the video.
"Aimie"
Not only do we need more pilots like this. We need more people like this as well. Awesome videos.
Wow, Amazing. Thank you Capitan Fokko for explaining and First Officer Johannes, too. I'm so happy having the opportunity to see all this. It would be so great to see all in real. Lieben Dank an alle die dies ermöglicht haben. Danke an LH Cargo. Happy landing!!
Thank you for letting me be a guest on board. The least I could do was to make a contribution to your good cause,
I do not consider myself to be an aviation enthousiast, but I watched with fascination. I guess it’s always nice to see true pro’s at work!
Thanks to the Captain and all crew who made this video available. Was wonderful to see the electronic bay area and all the cables. This system appears to be so fragile for a big airplane, but what can I say...it works since the 80s...
Very impressed with your kind -hearted effort in caring for the orphans.......
Equally impressed is this Video of your precise briefing on various stages on the flight en route to Johannesburg.
Very Educational and informative indeed.
I have travelled to Germany on several occasions all by Lufthansa flights so I know the Quality Service of Lufthansa....!!
Danke.....!
Nice to see a man in his work caring for others. We think that glamour always lies with passenger jets, but cargo is an important part of lives and more so for those in hard to reach places. Captain I commend what you have done, I am off to your website and giving now. Air Clips...thank you!
lmao the sign on the door at 20:11
Very nice video and so clear i must say will be watching the LH Cargo videos more often, and Captain Fokko you are doing a great job at Mother's mercy in my capital Nairobi, God bless you.
Lots of the children's homes here are run down & dirty.Just very thankful to CHC for providing the children with a comfortable living environment. I am inspired to accomplish such in my adulthood ♥️
Great Captain Fokko! Lufthansa Carocare will have a special place in my heart!!

Cpt. Fokko ..Sir your a good man. I was stationed in Germany ..back in the 70's, Near Karlsruhe. God bless you, the children you help and all your life goals.
always loved the MD-11 and DC-10 aircraft since I was a teen. I had the privilege when I was about 14 to visit the cockpit of a Northwest DC-10 at TPA which was TIA at that time. Will never forget the smell of heated electrical equipment in the cockpit.
They look much different today with all the glass instruments. Thanks for posting. Love the channel! and a great video :-)

Thank you!
Captain Fokko is the best! This video is by far one of the best aviation videos I have seen. Is so enjoyable!
Just one question. During takeoff and landing, does both pilots where controlling the (i don't know hoe to call it) steering wheel?
the yoke? yes, i think.
i think if the captain moves the yoke, it makes the yoke moves auto on copilot side
Lewis DSD No, only one pilot controls the yoke. The yokes are connected, so inputs given on one yoke are also having an effect on the other. So you'll see both yokes moving.
Normally not, only the Pilot Flying (the pilot who performs the flight) is controlling the yoke (on an Airbus, it's a sidestick) . Besides that, the other pilot keeps his hand ready to react and take over the controls if the pilot flying suddenly should become unable to fly.
Hope I could help you and please correct me if I'm wrong.
The steering wheel is called a tiller
very inspirational video from a great captain for aviation enthusiasts like us.Keep it up.
Fascinating watch and what a great team and especially Capt Fokko for his charity work, great guy

What a nice gentleman and good pilot ! wish him all the best
