I like him already, hopefully he shows what he can do at leeds
As a Leeds fan i love him
Hopefully he does well
Id say he's going to relegate leeds and get sacked at the end of the season, with them getting stuck at championship level again.
@@curvedcube2268 why’s that
@@jimjam4888 Bielsa built that squad from scratch, dragged them into the premier league and was actually pretty comfortable there before the injuries. Jesse Marsch might be decent but i think hes worse than Bielsa and has to deal with the same injury problems. Awful awful time for leeds
I can already see a" belive" poster....in the leeds utd dreesing room....lol
Hopefully he spells it correctly…

Other than that a good comment
easy to criticise, but at least he is putting himself out there and trying his best
Was just about say "That is something Ted Lasso would say" then he said it himself.
I see people giving him a bit of a hard time for how it went with Leipzig, which is a little unfair. Leipzig were too conditioned to Nagelsman's way of playing and style. Marsch is a MUCH more aggressive up-tempo stye (like Bielsa except the man to man marking) which is why the Leipzig player found it hard to initially adapt. He only got 14 games, so didn't really get to fully implement his style. With this Leeds team, they're all well used to the super high tempo running that Jesse will wanna use, so I think you'll get a much better Jesse Marsch with this Leeds team. Excited to see what he cane do in the Prem. Best of luck to him and Leeds.
They got rid of their star players when he got the job at leipzig
@@stride0812 Upamecano and Konate for starters
Actually 21 games
@@benedictcumberbatchfacts5571 Konate only played 22 matches over his last two seasons at leipzig. Not sure his departure was as big of a loss as you may think.
@@T1TK1 with upamecano gone though he was probably the plan gonna be that starter (and thats not too far fetched considering how good he's been at liverpool)
If he's half as good as Ted, he'll go far
but he will get them relegated first, then win promotion next season while his assistant manager will be replacing David Moyes
@@isaacwilliaiii843 David Moyes leaving?

@@JoeMenjivar true, how are they going to afford champions leagues wages when they finish 4th next year?
He sounds like Michael Scott
I like the energy he is bringing. I feel better about our chances knowing he will get us defensively in order, in comparison to just attack and no defense.
Sounds like a nice guy, hope he can keep Leeds up!
He is literally the Real-Life Equivalent of Ted Lasso.
He sounds like an exciting addition to PL... All the best 👏👏👏👏
I guess I will be watching more press meets 😃😃😃
Wait till he plays Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday
Bro your comment is confusing are they playing on Wednesday or Saturday?
Who the hell are Sheffield Wednesday. The Mighty Leeds United have far bigger fish to fry.
Your probably a derby fan you wet wipe
Love the reference
I saw that show and it's brilliant.Jesse just keep us in the top 10 please. That's all I am asking for💙💛
Genuinely hope he can save Leeds this season. I miss bielsa but Jesse seems like a great person, enthusiastic, open and honest. I'm hopeful that he's gonna do very well.
Please play Gelhardt. He's been in my FPL team for weeks 😔
Hope he does well, be good for Leeds and American soccer lol
Doesn’t justify it but if a Brit became a NBA head coach or whatever they call it lol Americans would go crazy. I mean it probably wouldn’t be allowed but their really unique tea and crumpets and teeth jokes would be relentless 😂
Obviously the UK and USA are great friends but my god do we make fun of each other at every opportunity
Doubtful, Roy Rana is an assistant coach at the Sacramento Kings. He is Born in Wolverhampton. Americans don't think of basketball as confined to Americans. Most likely they'd go who is he and if he's good great. Just win games. His nationality wouldn't be much of a talking point especially if he came from say a typical feeder for NBA coaches like NCAA College basketball. Steve Nash is from Canada born in South Africa; he coaches. Steve Kerr was born in Lebanon. I just think far far less focus would be placed on that person's nationality because the NBA doesn't have the same stigma against the like the British do with Americans and football.
@weyland yutani definitely not, there has only ever been 1 coach born and raised outside the us/canada in the nba and he only lasted 1 year. And he was born in Serbia which has a big basketball culture. A british coach would get eaten alive in the nba
Exactly, you have a British coach in the nfl and of course they'd be like who is this guy
As an American, I can't tell you how wrong you are. My father is from England & I've literally never had someone make those sorts of remarks about him. I feel that Brtis can't stand Americans much more than the other way around.
Good for him. I wish him well.
what a lad
He's definitely watched the show.
He is a good manager, he will do well. Good for Leeds.
He's a nobody who has only got every job he's had because of his nationality and connections. LONG LIVE BIELSA
@@cockoffgewgle4993 Bielsa was too stubborn, conceded 20 goals alone in Feb so the defence was leaking goals. If Jesse Marsch rescue Leeds from relegation u lot will be singing his name in no time
@@nazrimansor1112 Yes, he stubbornly got us promoted and finished 9th, playing spectacular football. Stubbornly got our players fitter than any PL team before. Stubbornly got our players running themselves to death every single game. Stubbornly kept us out of the relegation zone during a hard season without 2 of his 3 best players and no striker.
I won't. I won't be watching. I have no interest in watching a soulless American franchise. It's impossible for this sap to "rescue" us from a position we aren't in, and a position Bielsa would have improved on, using a squad Bielsa made and whose best players Bielsa created.

Good luck Marsch, hopefully you’ll keep Leeds United up in them PL.
Good luck to Leeds Soccer Club
Okay it's time to play Martin Solveig - Hello , everytime Leeds at home.
As long as he knows how offside works, he'll be fine 😉
So much for Terry Marsch. As for Ted Lasso, if Americans were stereotyped as humble, kind, and wiser than first impressions would suggest, that would be a caricature I could live with. Our real-life American coaches should lighten up.
The English hate hearing the word soccer, a word they invented for the sport of football.

When you hate Ted Lasso but sound like Ted Lasso.
Jesse did VERY well when at Red Bull Salzburg and took them to Champions League football for fuck's sake. WHy? Because he had ample time to implement his system and the players responded. Leipzig were stupid & foolsih to hire him, KNOWING he would be changing tactics, only to cut him off early. Leipzig should have just hired a Nagelsmann assistant coach who didn't change things. Leipzig hired Marsch because they tend to promote from within, but in this case it was a mistake. If Leeds are relegated, Jesse's system will be fun & exciting for fans & the team and they will have success in the League, likely being promoted.
AMERICAN
Just give like a 120% man lol.
Jesse Marsch needs to have Leeds playing boring football, otherwise they will go down.
That's not how it works. The greatest teams make others uncomfortable, having your goal bombarded is not a good idea, if you sit deep and give them space, they can switch, drag you out and pick you apart. If you press effectively, then you can get chances of it, and winning the ball is already a good thing.
Leeds Leeds Leeds!
USMNT COACH?!?!?!
Well Bob Bradley didn't do a good job...
Bob Bradley didn't help either

English coaches aren't any better lmao.
Lol, You are in for a rude awakening and will be gone by Summer.
The overconfidence with no substance is how the average American comes across to Europeans. Americans speak with a lot of hyperbole and exaggeration compared to people from Europe who are a little more reserved and less excitable to modest accomplishments or events.
For Jesse and I am sure he knows this but his playing career and his managerial career will not garnish instant respect from any of the players, he needs to be knowledgeable, a great leader and shows the players that his methods work. Players will test him, like do any manager but even more so because he is American. Bob Bradley found this out at Swansea the hard way, if Jesse can show his methods work, he knows his stuff and gets results he may actually be the first American to succeed and pave a pathway for others.
On the other hand if he fails then it will be a long long time before another American gets a chance at that level.
Swansea
Definitely agree with you.. but man, Bob Bradley sucks royal ass. His level of coaching is good enough for the MLS league here or university level. Which just goes to show how the standards of the sport still are here in the States 😑.
Two different coaches. I still get why you brought him up.. I just wanted a chance to bash Bradley though 😅.
I want him to do a good job for Leeds sake. I don't want to seem them relegated. Anyways, good point.
Listening to Americans talk is nauseating. They talk in inflated platitudes.
