This is a very easy way of playing an accompaniment for Ieva’s Polka on the piano. I’m positive that even those of you who have never played the piano will learn this. =) So, go ahead and try!
I know there are many other tutorials for piano, so you can proceed to those when you can play this one. And let me know if you have questions about this video. =) - Hudba

I also started to be interested by finnish language, and I find it very pretty. Did you know Finnish inspired Tolkien himself to create Sindarin and Quenya ( the two elvishes languages in The Lord of The Rings) ? What a great honor for this wonderful language !

Would you maybe be able to write down the sheet music for how you, personally, play the song. When I look online, the tempo is always too fast and it gets me confused. I'm only starting to learn piano
You can choose the slower tempo here. I play the whole song with two different chords, so that it's easy for anyone to catch. I don't think you need sheet music for this. =) But if you still need it I can email a version to you. Just remind me: hannifanmail@gmail.com. =)

Thank you for the tutorial Hanni! I am having a bit of trouble syncing the lyrics to the song. I tried naively syncing D D A D D D A D D A A D D A A D by having two chords for each lyric, but it just doesn't sound right.
Can you maybe provide us with some guidelines on when to play the cords, or sing while we watch your hands on the piano?
Yes, I realised I should have sung while playing the whole thing. But you get the numbers of the chords if you listen carefully. You have the chords right in your comment. =) I'll make another video with the singing voice. Thanks for pointing this out!

Secondly, I've heard "leva's" is not the correct form, "levan" is?
The first letter is a capital i. In Finnish the name is Ievan, polkka, which means Ieva's polka in English. =)

@ThatItalianTeacher I don't think he's hitting on me... =) Plus we sang this song almost 30 years ago. The famous video is from 1996 and we first performed this in 1992 or 1993. =)
