This looks a lot like the recent Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth to me. I love that game, so I think I will be picking this up.

Yeah, they probably should've made it so the boss doesn't lose any HP from precious attempts. Dope review though, I'm for sure picking this up.
Definitely the review I was waiting for. Just curious what a rough estimate for what a one-time play through is and save for extra difficulty, are there any unlockables?

They also released a megaman-esque entry some years back. It had a couple of cool mechanics, for example you could customize the beam weapon's firing power
They're released quite a few 2d action games ever since megaman zero.
Gal gun is their outlier in that its a 3d on rail shooter.

Definitely looking forward to this game! Aside maybe from the janky rushjob that was iX 2, I loved pretty much every platformer these guys have ever made.
Still don't really understand why they had to build this off of Gal Gun in the first place - a new IP or, hell, another Bloodstained tie-in even, would have been less tonally inconsistent. I'm just not a fan of Inti's non-stop horniness these days, but whatever.

This game has been officially renamed in English due to trademark issues of a mobile game called Grimguard. The new name is Gal Guardians Demon Purge

Maybe I missed but I think you forgot say that this game has local coop! This is a huge selling point for me.
Kinda strange that the story doesn't have any English voices lines even though they are voiced in Japanese. Hopefully they'll add them in a future patch like they did with the Gunvolt 3 dlc.
i think that has to do with Inti Creates being based in Japan and budget.
@@NoisyPixelNews Maybe. But their latest titles, Gunvolt 3 and Luminous Avenger iX2 had English dubs for the story upon release, so I'm surprised they didn't try to do that with this title.

Not enough people are trying this in 2 player, it has a lot in common with the second retro bloodstained game. Been enjoying it a lot so far but unfortunately it has no built in online play so you'll have to find more... 'creative' ways to do that
This kinda reminds me of those japanese Touhou castlevania parody fan games.
Gal gun is a TOTALLY different idea bro. Don't even compare it to this masterclass in shooting shit up.

It’s really fun but the pride system is pretty annoying
First of all, the first play through is just the beginning. It's the second that is the real deal, and the last bosses, F-ING HELL, you have no idea what you're talking about. The last bosses are Ninja gaiden warning in difficulty.
Sure, if you play the game on casual, then you might handle it, but veteran... oh boy.

It's both. If you play by yourself then you swap between the two sisters with a press of a button. If two people pick up a controller then you each play as a different sister, and can switch who controls which at any time from the pause menu.

This game looks like a Metroidvania. I don't see anything that makes it even a tiny bit like Gal-Gun.
Weird on the dub part, guess I can wait for when this game goes on sale instead of buying it. I mean I get, budget issues and all but that doesn't motivate me to getting the game earlier. I'll give it a few years.

Game is not easy, play in veteran mode and i promise you that you will die alot also enemy damage can vary and take alot out with just one hit and knock back with pit falls is just as annoying as ever lol having a blast with this one but could care less about the story.

As someone who has never even heard of the Gal series this is a huge change in style from the otherwise sexual perverted series. I’m totally fine with this new change. I can see myself playing a metroidvania than some dumb sexual rail shooter.
Making a game where women are the dominant gender does nothing to actually promote equality, true courage is a woman who rises up against a world where it's natural for men to be the dominant gender and succeeds.

You do know that this game is designed for a mostly male audience right? They didn't include the sexy anime girls for the sake of equality, I can tell you that.

I always cringe at some of the borderline pedo content in (mainly) Japanese games and Inticreates has been guilty of this in the past. Doesn't help that the Mega Man Zero artist literally draws hentai for his other projects.
It's a real turnoff and I was hoping for a decent Castlevania esque game like their Bloodstained series.
