There really is nothing quite like trail magic. It is all love and you feel it. And it always seems to show up when you need it most. I remember hiking into Damascus. It was a long 20+ mile day and I got into town around 9pm.. as I'm walking down the road a guy with a case a beer opens it and offers me one. I was so sore, sunburnt, tired, hungry.. that beer made me all smiles!
I remember meeting some ladies who did this every weekend on the Appalachian trail. They said that they have been doing it for a couple of years and they give all the hikers sandwiches and snacks and also allow them to write letters to their families which they will sell, it was really cool
I hear so much about trail magic and it just amazes me how hikers can be so kind to each other - spending their own money and taking their own time to make someone else comfortable as they go by!
Yea, hopefully they pace themselves. Dogs, especially working dogs, will keep going to the point that they collapse and/or have a heat stroke. We must make good decisions for our puppers.
@@bobbiec2829 yep, I have a German Shepherd and he doesn’t stop even if he’s exhausted. I have to make him stop. I’m hoping they carried enough water for that dog…
I would absolutely love it if you two would consider the transcanada trail for a future quest! It goes essentially from coast to coast to coast. Right now about 27,000 km are fully connected, but it maps into local trails all over the country!
On cross-country bicycle trips especially riding solo I often experience that kind of trail magic in small towns. Especially a little town up in the mountains those people knew that I’d climb that hill to get to their town and it was like being rewarded, especially if I was staying overnight I would have two or three offers for breakfast in the morning. One time I actually excepted all three offers eating three breakfasts in a row. I rode about 30 miles outside of town and was exhausted from eating too much. One of the magic glad people do it on the trails for others. Anyone who’s done a tracking on foot or on bicycle certainly knows How do I get to encounter generosity, Wellworth enjoying and giving gratitude
I love doing trail magic! We do a hike with the Cystic Fibrosis foundation twice a year (30 miles in one day) on the Appalachian trail in NC and I usually help my mom support. We are mostly there for our hikers but in the spring we usually get a lot of thru hikers and I love telling them to sit down and rest for a bit, offering cold snacks and water refills, first aid if needed. It’s so rewarding and I can tell that a small amount of effort can make a big difference.
watching makes me proud for you all...but teary eyed for me. I am too old and no one really has the energy nor knowledge to take me anywhere fun like this. Please keep sgaring
I love watching your short videos. I would love to watch some longer ones with you making dehydrated food for hiking! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us 😊
omg my family and i just did a huge hike called the Jug in arizona. it was a six hour hike through water and included a lot of swimming and cliff jumping
You are living my dream right now. Before I got hurt and lost all my nerves in my legs cause of back pain, this was mine and my ex husbands dream. We always talked about traveling the world. He passed away this April and even though we weren't together, I miss him so much ❤ he would love these videos.
I could only imagine hiking for days then someone shows up and puts a cold beer in my hand. Yes please!
Would be the best beer ever!!
I have a job. I can't just be a vagrant
I wouldn't even care what kind of beer. Cold beer after a long hike is magic.

That’s so cool. Gotta love a good community with good vibes
Hi
If i came across you guys renee and Tim, thats enough trail magic for me❤
This us a great idea! I can't hike anymore but I can fill a cooler and hand them out to hikers. #SummerGoals #TrailMagic
Right! I love this idea! You get to talk to so many people and hear all the good and the bad! Good times❤
I truly hope you do it. I’m sure would be greatly appreciated.
I've experienced trail magic, and I've spread the magic. They both give you the fuzzies.

Sell or mail?
Imagine it was sell 😂 "help these ladies are making us write for food"
Yes, trail magickers are the best!
Love how hands on and welcoming the community is! ❤

Love that you guys did this!! You both have such kind and generous hearts
This is awesome. I bet finding a cooler of drinks (and beer!) like that is a dream come true out in that heat.
That poor pupper in the heat. I wouldn't want to hike in a fur coat.

Having fur is not the same as wearing a fur coat! The fur will actually cool them down.

That’s so cool! I love following you guys and learning from you guys! You guys are my favorite!! Love loving each other!!
So cool! I imagine they don't come through the Florida trails as often but I’d love to make someone's day by doing this!
A state with an elevation peak of 400ft doesn’t scream hiking destination unfortunately 😅
@@bikeislife8405also humidity suckkkksss for hiking
The wild life is too intimidating in Florida. People are more scared of the Florida snakes than bear country!
This is so awesome, love that this is a thing and now I know about it. Gonna spread some trail magic here on the Arizona Trail!
The hiking community is one of the nicest I swear. ❤
What a blessing you provide to thru hikers. Creating memories for the hikers and yourselves as well. Your efforts are greatly appreciated I'm sure.
That sounds so amazing! Thanks for sharing your magic. 🎉
I would absolutely love it if you two would consider the transcanada trail for a future quest!

That's really great! We should all look for meaningful ways to pass on the love.
Bottom of the Grand Canyon, Hance Rapids, about 115°f in the shade, rafters going by with cold beer. What a treat!!!

My house is right off the pct! The hikers love to stay in my town for a few nights! Then they go back on their way! Such a cool experience❤
I’ve given rides to plenty of hikers thumbing their way through Togwotee pass. They’ve always been fun, grateful individuals
This looks so cool. I especially love the sleeping doggy. I hope doggy got a couple of treats.
Trail Magic! Love this idea - call yourselves magicians ❤🚶♀️🚶♂️
