Here is what worked for me on a XP-640 :used stop,down ,left, and power button to get to firm ware reset screen. I used address in Matt's blog to get a firm ware download via drop box to "retrograde" epson xp 640 . After downloading the firmware it installed in a few minutes and now my printer again uses the generic ink cartridges. Thank-you.
thanks a mill, tried everything before I saw your video and it worked perfectly, I have a expression 445 with no recovery button on it contacted Epsom, might aswell have spoke to a brick wall id'e have got a better answer than the one they gave me
Does anyone know how to get the printer out of Printer Mode? I follow the directions in the video to get into Printer Mode and now I am unable to get the print back to normal.
