  • In this video, I continue the exploration of the key of G major by limiting my solo guitar improvisation to the notes in the Gmaj7 chord (G, B, D, F#) for melodic and harmonic ideas. This is a concept that could be applied to all of the diatonic seventh chords in any given key. Try it out.

      Thank You! Definitely give it a try. I find that it is a lot easier just play melody or harmony than it is to try to do both at the same time.

    I’m so torn between buying this guitar or a Godin nylon to practice early morning while my wife and kids are sleeping.

      I have never played a Godin nylon string guitar. Many famous players do. In terms of which is “more quiet” and portable, probably the Yamaha. I have seen videos showcasing the sound of both and they sound very similar. Keisel guitars makes the NS-1 and Sadowski makes an electric nylon if you want to go the custom route. Good luck!!
