I tried every step listed in this video for one of my mixes and the result was impressive. I think these steps work better than using those high-end, CPU-guzzling and expensive third party plugins. Thanks, Sage Audio. I have one question though, how do you create an extra bus beside the Master bus?
You simply route all inserts in the mixer to one insert only, which will be where you add the mastering chain effects before finally sending the signal to the Master Bus. In this case, the insert you added the mastering chain effects is like your first Master Bus
@@Dave_M. Thanks Dave. I indeed figured it out some hours after writing this comment. I called this channel my Pre-Master Bus. I think it sounds better that way. By the way, do you have any idea of the reverb settings used for the high-end stereo width? Would it be like a send reverb with 100% wet? Also what kind of decay time could be used, a dark or bright setting?
Good advice, Dave. Plus, it helps if you have a good built computer. I hammer Ozone, Waves and FabFilter on everything and my CPU still sits around 30-40%.

This is a very i depth master and i usually wouldnt go as far as doing all of these steps, if my mix is good in the first place, but if youre going all out trying to finish and pulish a project this is definitely a great step by step process to go about it! Great video!

Please sir, how did you do the high frequency stereo expansion? Your answer will be well appreciated.
I like to use a mid-side EQ for that. MEqualizer is a good free option. Create a high shelf filter and amplify the high frequencies. Then right-click the band to open the settings and change it to the side image. This will increase the stereo width of your high frequencies.
Hello, I have a problem. When I master my song and then exports it, the song master turns out to have low volume.. is there a fix to this? Pls urgent. I am using a Mac by the way..
