    4:12 Jadwiga wasn't just a lady. She was a King of Poland.

      Correct King not a Queen ☝️

    About number 6... (4:10)
    We really need to add something here.
    Jadwiga wasn't just some princess or queen, no. She was crowned at the age of 10/11 as KING of Poland. Despite being crowned at such young age she never had a regant. She was one of the best rulers in polish history. She TRIPLED size of the kingdom of Poland by dimplomacy, marriage and wars. She was a great diplomat and even her enemies admitted that it was impossible to get more than she decided to give. She was also able to lead war campaigns, like when in 1387 (she was 13 at that time) she conquered Ruthenia. She was able to speak in 6 languages. She gave life to the first university in Poland (Casimir the Great started the process of its creation, but Jadwiga finished the work). Sadly she reigned only for 15 years because she died young at the age of 25/26. It's really impressive how much she was able to achieve during those 15 years and it makes you think how much she could do if she lived longer.
    Maybe you can react to some videos about her? I would love to see it :)

    The video you watched was very good, but it skipped a lot of the 1945-1989 history, there were riots basically every few years, many of which were met with gun fire by the militia, and for a brief moment there was a state of emergency in the country.

    To give you an example of how many times polish cities were destroyed let's say that in last 400 years of history we had over 40 wars.
    Basicaly only my generation and generation of my parents didn't experience war firsthand.
    Good content, have a nice day mate.

    Żelazowa Wola means Iron Will,Chopin's birthplace.

    • @VoidCosmonaut
      @VoidCosmonaut Před 9 měsíci +2

      Żelazowa in Polish means nothing. Iron Will means ŻELAZNA Wola not żelazowa. If a thing is made of iron and is feminine in Polish, for example MISKA, it is Żelazna Miska and not Żelazowa

    the history of the partitions of Poland is not so simple, really in those days Poland was undefeated in direct combat, that's why some countries started to push their politicians / spies into the Polish government to destroy Polish law and prevent the modernization of the military,and the descendants of these politicians/spies sit in the Polish government and destroy it to this day.

For me.. It's just a... "Future generations trolling" By some German guy ( because this territory before and during II WW were in Germany).

    Poland is a beautiful country worth visiting.
    But you have to bear in mind that Poles are very laid-back, playful, rude and like specific.
    You will probably hear a lot of jokes in Poland that will sound racist, and in fact even 2% of them will not approach racism ;)

    • @DAP2337
      @DAP2337 Před 10 měsíci +1

      That's why visiting Poland must be taken with great distance and don't try to play politics and complaining, because Poles hate it unless you can do it like them :o

    Mikołaj Rej did not invent the Polish language. Earlier - in the Middle Ages, poems were written only in Latin, and Polish was the language of simple people, not a literary language.
