    The fawn was curious or mistook the people for something else, ran closer, realized it might be in danger, and went into a defense mechanism where they just curl up so predators leave them alone. When fawns do this in leaves they're practically invisible, and some predators won't kill something that isn't running, so they have a built in instinct to do this when they feel that they are in danger.

      Yeah, but sometimes I feel there’s more to those babies feeling safe around humans. Maybe it’s me just wanting to think it. But one day I was walking in the woods with my dad’s dogs at about three or four and they had a bad habit of chasing deer and we tried everything we could to stop them. Day we were walking down by the creek and they got after a yearling well all three of them down on top of it and I thought it was a goner so I started running towards the dogs to stop them. Well, I distract the dogs long enough for the Yearling to get loose. Tell me why that yearling ran directly towards me, and that action saved his life because I was able to hold the dogs off and getting their way long enough for it to get away and hide. If it would’ve ran any other direction, it would’ve been a goner. Pretty crazy and weird that baby decided to run right to me for protection. Or maybe it was for some other reason and I’m just stretching. Still pretty crazy though.

      It ran over to the person. Fawns lie down when they are scared as instinct yes but to run towards a predator is kinda odd don't you think? How do you explain videos of wild animals, especially baby animals running up to people though? You see it in baby squirrel s as well, this happened to me at work once, ai had a baby squirrel literally run up my leg and refuse to let go. I took it home and pretty much set up a cage for it and raised it after that. And trust me, I looked for a nest and mother squirrel, the squirrel s in the area were not interested in the baby at all. Nature is just weird sometimes.

      Well for one, they aren't people. They're wild animals.
      Most of us hunters don't even harm a doe with a fawn since we have respect for the population and the ecosystem. We hunt for food, and it's much more expensive to buy the equivelant amount of meat at a super market than it is to get a deer on your own, plus we enjoy going out in nature.

    • @emekecho2024
      @emekecho2024 Před 12 dny

      @@battleship6177 Humans are animals. We are all animals and people. All i hear are excuses why you hurt animals. Hunters are the weakest in character and vibration. Animals aren't food. It's not meat, it's violence. You can eat plants and grow in your garden rather than taking God's innocent creatures lives. Killing isn't kindness. Be kind instead. May God have mercy on animal abusers for they don't know better.

    • @battleship6177
      @battleship6177 Před 12 dny +6

      @emekecho2024 hol up... If you're gonna bring God into this then there's just one small problem:
      God literally gave us permission to hunt, but also told us to not be wasteful and actually eat the animals we kill. Not only that, he gave us dominion over the entire animal kingdom.
      And in terms of calling let's say Deer people, this is not so. Since people is a multiple of persons, said is defined as the following:
      A Human Beaing regarded as an Individual
      A category used in the classification of pronouns, possessive determiners, and verb forms, according to whether they indicate the speaker ( first person ), the addressee ( second person ), or a third party ( third person )
      Or you have the Christian Theology definition talking about the Trinity, of which Deer aren't any of such.
      Deer also aren't human beings making up a group or assembly or linked by a common interest.
      Lets define Human Being shall we?
      - a man, woman, or child of the species Homo sapiens, distinguished from other animals by superior mental development, power of articulate speech, and upright stance.
      Lets also go ahead and define a Wild Animal:
      A wild animal is an animal that is not domesticated and can survive on its own in the natural world without human intervention. Wild animals can live in the wilderness, such as in a rainforest, mountain, or beach, or in built environments alongside humans. They are able to find their own food, water, shelter, and other needs in their natural habitat. Wild animals are also not tame and usually don't interact with people.
      And while there are many similarities between humans and animals there is also great difference, especially in terms of intellect, social structure, creativity, language, brain size, and motivation. Animals, especially wild animals, think only based on instinct and are incapable of reasoning.
      Saying that say a Deer is people is also saying that a Deer has human rights, the right to free speech, the right to self governance, etc etc, but these concepts aren't even applicable to deer for they don't have such intellectual capability to even comprehend the meaning of such constructs that are of human social creation.
      All in all, the right to hunt was given by God and those of us Hunters who are Christian and prize our kills don't just kill for fun, we kill to eat.
      Also I'd like to comment on the plants part because this is very funny to me. You do know plants are living as well and when cut or pricked, etc etc, they omit an ultra-sonic scream? Yeah let that sink in...

    • @battleship6177
      @battleship6177 Před 12 dny +2

Not only did the people harm the fawn by putting their scent on them but also potentially harmed them by having the mother reject the fawn for having such scent. Where is this school where the little deer students learn all the tricks of 'deerdom'❓
      In reality, the mother, upon birth, licks the newborn clean of any scent and seemingly abandons the fawn.. She returns to the fawn to nurse when the pressure in her udder gets uncomfortable.. With twins, most common, and/or triplets, more common than single births, the fawns normally are individually bedded down, which improves the chances of each fawn's survival.. EVERYTHING about whitetail deer early life is driven by pure instinct, developed over eons of time (survival of the fittest!)

      From what I've actually seen and watched on TV, fawns are about as intelligent as any infant, hahaha.
      It looks a little small to be traveling through the open with mom. When they're super young, the mother will usually leave them in a thicket by the woods while she forages. Hench the freeze and drop. They lay perfectly still, and those spots are insane camouflage, believe it or not.
      Maybe the mother was gonna have it hide in the general area? There's tons of hiding spots by houses. Around my area, it seems like a weekly thing where people find them under outdoor stairs, porches, bushes, ornamental grass, etc.

Rushing up to this person is totally abnormal, instead of the mother springing and running immediately in the opposite direction in a flash.
