I remember buying this CD in the 90s and making a tape of it for my Pop (RIP) ... he loved listening to this before he passed away. Always reminds me of the drive to Ballarat to give him the tape. He also danced to the original Ghostbusters theme with a Sony Walkman one Christmas, but that's another story :D

Every Aussie song is a National Anthem
2008 i was planning a Trip to Bali but the ppace was close because of the Bombings so I decided to go to Vietnam , one nite walking through Hoi Ahn I could hear this Rukus futher on I realised what was going on !
There was a Bar with the stereo turned up full volume Blasting Flame Trees By Cood Chisel and the poace was packed with Aussies singing their Guts out!
Man I burst into tears...... couldn't stop thinking of the Aussie Soldiers who died in Viet and will never see the Flame Trees again....Hope they heard the singing...R.I.P. Brothers!🇭🇲💪

My great uncle Alf. Stayed home at the age of 6 working on his father's farm. And that's what he did until he met my great aunty. He wanted her but she said you gotta come clean to God and become a Christian. So he did and was wed to her. And he raised children and continue to grow vegetables and had a farm with cows and pigs. And Alf had his love for big vegetables. Even won the biggest display of home grown vegetables at the Ekka.
Yes my great uncle had a hard life. Don't think he ever went overseas.
The country was enough for him.
Anyways don't know why I wrote this.
People don't understand how good they have got it.
God bless you uncle Alf and my grandfather who had to stay back from WW2 to mend the farm.
My grandfather was a man who didn't mess around. He was a good man and a Godly man. He met my late in August grandmother in 1949.
And there honeymoon was to Lismore after WW2 that's where there rations got them.
Then without electricity had cows and horses and sheep. On a farm.
    And they raised 4 children.
But my grandad was a bloody great man.
    No media back then.
The nearest hospital was 70 kilometres away.
My mother had to share the same bath water as her siblings.
People have no idea how good they have got it these days.
God bless anyone who has read this far. May you know the Lord Jesus Christ loves you and cares for you even in your muck and filth of the world. Turn to Jesus Christ. And have the best life you've ever dreamed of

1990's songs are better than 2020's songs!
    Lyrics:
Way out west where the rain
Don't fall Got a job with the company
    Drilling for oil
    Just to make some change
Living and a'working on the land
I quit my job and I left my wife
I Headed out west for a brand new life
    Just to get away
Living and a'working on the land
    What a change it's been
From working that nine to five
    How strange it's been
At last I get the feeling that I'm really alive
They give you a house made of fibro cement
    You don't need no money
'Cause you don't pay no rent
    And it's Oh so cheap
Living and a'working on the land
La la La la La la
La la La la la La la La la
La la La la la La la La la la
Living and a'working on the land
La la La la la La la La la
La la La la la La la La la la
Living and a'working on the land
There's nothing much to do on a Saturday night
    But get into some booze
    Or maybe a fight
    'Cause it's tough out here
Living and a'working on the land
    What a change it's been
From working that nine to five
    How strange it's been
At last I get the feeling that I'm really alive
Way out west where the rain don't fall
Got a job with a company drilling for oil
    And I'm never gonna leave
Living and a'working on the land
La la La la la La la La la
La la La la la La la La la la
Living and a'working on the land
Living and a'working on the land
La la La la la La la La la
La la La la la La la La la la
Living and a'working on the land

Jimmy blundell, a brilliant australian music artist player , singer, song writer . They say you shouldn't meet a music artist you admire cause they wont meet preconceived expectations well this bloke i meet twice in mildura while he was visiting bill rowitt and his daughter sue , james put on an acoustic preformance to every ones amazement and i guess some people didnt even know who he was ..i did been following him since the a album this road , i was reluctant to speak to him because of admiration, his down to earth attitude soon changed that for me . This man is an oath keeper of our heritage he has an absolute love of country warts and all and tells it so , He has lived his highs and lows in lifes experience and his songs reflect this his honestly and gift of language will make the most patriotic cry on reflection our lord jesus christ places people in our lives for thier benefit or ours this man is one of the good blokes .. He wouldn't let the music industry change his music and message they said he was arrogant full of him self i say this man is a patriot who cant be corrupted who loves all poeples cause hes blind to in ethnicity. Dusty ,kernagh , Williamson, BLUNDELL thier all patriots, cant or wont be compromised by shit globalists, man of honour thank our lord jesus and i thank the aussie bush amen

This was the AWESOME song that was the final nail in the coffin for my relationship when I lived in Sydney with this kiwi nurse..."quit my job and I left my wife" was actually very accurate. Best decision I ever made, saw her a few weeks back, yep, always trust your gut feeling.

Way out west where the rain
Don't fall Got a job with the company
    Drilling for oil
    Just to make some change
Living and a'working on the land
I quit my job and I left my wife
I Headed out west for a brand new life
    Just to get away
Living and a'working on the land
    What a change it's been
From working that nine to five
    How strange it's been
At last I get the feeling that I'm really alive
They give you a house made of fibro cement
    You don't need no money
'Cause you don't pay no rent
    And it's Oh so cheap
Living and a'working on the land
La la La la La la
La la La la la La la La la
La la La la la La la La la la
Living and a'working on the land
La la La la la La la La la
La la La la la La la La la la
Living and a'working on the land
There's nothing much to do on a Saturday night
    But get into some booze
    Or maybe a fight
    'Cause it's tough out here
Living and a'working on the land
    What a change it's been
From working that nine to five
    How strange it's been
At last I get the feeling that I'm really alive
Way out west where the rain don't fall
Got a job with a company drilling for oil
    And I'm never gonna leave
Living and a'working on the land
La la La la la La la La la
La la La la la La la La la la
Living and a'working on the land
Living and a'working on the land
La la La la la La la La la
La la La la la La la La la la
Living and a'working on the land
