    That is a great trick when working with press fit bearings. Used when replacing press fit bearings on bicycles after leaving the bearings in the freezer over night.

      Why not heat up the bearing a wee bit to help expand it. I do that with casing in motorcycle casings so they don’t crack. Your technique is awesome all the same.

      Both techniques used together work very well. I've used it to install timing drive gears on crankshafts in the past. These were sealed bearings and I did not want to damge the seals on the hot plate. Thanks for watching!
