This is probably the least amount of "minor adjustments" you've done In a very long time! and it still looks amazing.
Nice to see someone make a kit straight from the box sometimes!
2 videos in a week. HELL YEAH.
And more are coming. I hope. 😏
@@idaemonplasmo Can't wait for it :) I love when u build WW2 warbirds
Yeah
@@idaemonplasmo please some jet aircraft please 😉
David! You make a 1/35 tank again please, that is my favorite genre & scale
After your destroyed tank, I really want to see you do a crashed plane, like a spitfire or something that's hit the deck, torn a wing with exposed wiring, bend out the fuselage etc. I reckon you would do an awesome job if it
That'd look badass. Hope he'll see your comment !
Yes that would be wery cool
what ??? two video in such a short period ... i think iam dreaming !!!
Winter is coming 🤣
@@idaemonplasmo i remember that phrase from the king tiger with legs diorama

@@user-kd9pz2gg9b Brasil excelente meu amigo Deus o abençoe sempre 🙏
Confermo! N 1
You sir are not just a modeler ... you are an artist. Your work is amazing.
My dad lives on an airfield in middle Georgia. His neighbor has a Yak in his hangar. He cranks it up a few times each fall and spring, flies it around to neighboring airfields, and then puts it away after a little maintenance. The sound is quite unique among planes from that time. Very aggressive and dangerous sounding - pretty fast, too. Not mustang fast, but badass when he comes by for a low pass.
The Soviets had an interesting idea about how to build their engines. If the aircraft wasn't expected to last more than 200 hours in flight, they'd push the engine hard and have it last about 250 hours between overhauls.
While the Merlin in a Mustang is 2500 hours TBO, if I remember correctly.
So their engines are running a lot harder, more horsepower per liter, more like a race engine than an aircraft engine.
@@ScottKenny1978 not true... they couldn't build engines with tolerances like us... hence you get less power. nothing like a race engine at all a true race engine, lets use your example... the soviets would be Nascar and allies would be Formula one ...even with all the modern f1 electronics off the engine that motor would destroy a nascar in a straight line..
soviet engines had a short life because bad tolerances poor fuel and poor lubrication... also there maintenance was a bit sketchy there just dirty engines
@@vasili1207 right.
The point is that they didn't bother with the high quality engineering and R&D to make it last 2500 hours before it needed an overhaul when the airplane it was in wasn't expected to fly more than 200 hours before being shot down. If what they had would run for 1000 hours at American power levels, they'd bump up compression ratio and/or boost pressure to get more performance out of it, _even if that quartered the life of the engine in the process!_
I've literally just bought it.
Thanks for the tips you've shown!
Good choice. I hope that Arma will release also La-5FN in the future.
@@idaemonplasmo I'd love to see Me262 from them too
@@idaemonplasmo You don't want to use the legendary Czech Kovozavody Prostejov Lavochkin? :-D
@@idaemonplasmo Clear Prop Models has a La-5 in 1/72, also a spectacular kit, great work on this one!
#53.
When you put it on your hand and I finally got a proper sense of scale... Wow
I built very similar model when I was a child in USSR in 80s. But I didn't paint it because I didn't have any skill. Great job, as always, thanks!
That feeling when the King Returns 🙏🤘
Two aircraft videos in a week...YES!
I love the extra little bits you’ve been adding in the beginning “and propeller escapes from table pppppppppppppt”
Thank you , Plasmo .
I find the juxtaposition of camouflage between the tops and bottoms of these fighter craft to be so cool.
I have three of Arma’s Yaks, five of their Hurricanes and a couple Wildcats. Great looking kits and cracking to build from what I hear. Your example is proof of that. Nice work Plasmo.👍🏻
I also have a Wildcat, and it alone convinced me to get the Hurricane! Well worth it
@@jimmccormick6091 Excellent.👍🏻
5? 3? you have pretty mach shelve space if you can afford that luxury of having same kit in different paint schemes. I'm glad Arma have yak in product line as there are very few 1/72 ww2 soviet aircraft kits of a really good quality. I have Arma's yak, hurricane and pzl-7. And only while writing this I realised that I've probably made a mistake - I had some space on my pacific theatre shelve and just ordered tamiya's corsair... without considering arma's wildcat... just forgot abou it ((
I really like these Top Gear-esque intros, always interesting
Dave you gotta be one of the finest modellers in the world
As soon as I heard “Hello, fellow modellers” I pushed the like button !
2 plasmo videos in 2 weeks? What a treat!
I haven't assembled a model in the last 50 years but I still watch every one of these begining to end. Love these videos.
Oh I feel blessed! 2 videos in one week from Plasmo!
from Russia with love ❤️ Spasiba 😅🙌
Who’s been whipping Plasmo? Super chuffed to see another video so quick 😘
Very realistic looking model, with excellent paint job and great weathering techniques.
saying that your models are only 'relatively good' is pretty much like saying that going to a Pink Floyd concert is 'ok'. Masterful work as always.
2 videos in such a short time, thank you plasmo 😁👍
What a great little airplane! Fantastic job!!!!
Very pog
You've done just the essentials, and that's all it needed. At this scale any additional attention to detail would have just been a waste of effort. It looks very lifelike. Thank you.
"If you have some skills" Hehe, what an understatement!
13:48 PLASMO: "I think for 72 scale it looks relatively ...good" This must be the most humble comment I ever heard this year!
Me looking at my Airfix Yak-9d, hanging my head in dispair.
The Yak is a beautiful little airplane.
I have built this kit too, it's a real great kit with fine details. Arma Hobby announced a P-51 B Mustang, i will definitely buy the new kit. I'm sure this will be the best B Mustang kit in 1/72 scale!
David, thanks for recommending the elastic putty. Tried it tonight and I am very happy with the result.
Thanks for the tip about flexible super glue. In the past, joining a fuselage had always involved putty and sanding.
Great OOB build. Awesome little kit
whenever you used the same wash to make stains it threw me back to whenever i first started modeling when i had to improvise for everything
Immer wieder sensationell!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nice touches like knowing the materials these planes were made from, so you don't make metal scratches on parts that originally were wood, make these videos even more special. Nice build again.
As Always, a lovely and calming video, keep up the good work! just going through the process for us, has gone miles for me in allowing me to get better at a hobby that I have always wanted to get better at!
The quality of the model is outstanding and of course, your work both, together make a piece of work.
Looks awesome. Fantastic weathering. Ron

Excellent build! You always bring out the joy of modeling and why we choose this hobby.
I´d love to see you build the Saab 37 Viggen.
Not only is it a sexy airplane, but I also want to see you tackle the swedish M90 splinter camoflage...
You are just freaking unbelievable.
In awe.
*Very nice little russian fighter, the weathering method is fabulous!*
I built this kit a couple months ago. Love it.
I've been following you for more than three years, yet you never cease to amaze me. Fantastic work as always!!!!
Academy have produced a 1/48 Yak-1. Yippee! Great finish Mr. Damek. As always.
Nice detailing on the smaller scale plane
Great video. Really enjoyed your commentary throughout the building process.
Exactly, not every model needs a ton od improvements and scratch building - sometimes it is really good to build one just for fun and relax while doing it, and still achieve really good results and add nice model to the collection :)
Hello, I think you make first class models. I would be happy to see an old pirate ship from you. Best
Regards
Always a pleasure to watch a Master at work!
Great job!
all of your works are so amazing
Nice change from your more common, heavily weathered finishes. It turned out great! 👍
The start of these videos is beginning to remind me of the old top gear 😂
Haha, indeed!😂👍🏻If only Plasmo could afford to employ Jezza to record those opening lines.😁😉
I think you should do more 1:72 scale kit with no artificial parts like this one more often.
Love all your works mate ❤️💛

Great model build 👍👍

Ahh! My ride of choice in IL2 Forgotton Battles/1946. Great to see you do this - reminds me how much I miss the days when Hyperlobby was always packed and tempers ran hot.
