Very cool run video brother!! 👍🏼🍻🍻! Wish I could be there with you Braaaaaaapn away and jumping our real breathing RCs ⛽️🔥💣💨🔊🔊! Great job man and great RC! I need me one of these after I'm done with all my builds . Yes sir I will be doing a LOSI 5B once I'm caught all up
Thanks mate. it was a heap of fun. u got plenty on at the mo but i look forward to seeing u bash one of these! ;) and your mtxl! u getting a big bore for that right? ;)
RC Maxx UK yes sir the Big Bore is on its way . I'm going to have to go over my MTXL fully just to prep it a bit for it. Great video once again brother and keep up the great work . Boy I wish I could be there at place jumping my RCs with you. Those are some nice jumps and that Losi 5B handles so well it's amazing.
RC Maxx UK I agree, right after I saw your video I got on eBay to hopefully find one too. It looks super nimble almost like an 1/8 scale, but glad to see you back in action where is you brother from another mother havnt seen him on your channel lately sorry I forget his name?
brian Chi thanks mate! Appreciated. U got to get yourself back to jubilee mate. Im sure u will. It’s a great group of guys bashing there and u 2 crack me up with your antics!! ( laughing boy n the yup JC🤪) the look u had on your face when Ben covered u in mud w his hybrid is 1 of my favourite vid moments of this year😂😂😂
Looks good to good as a basher, you need the MCD plug protector, get rid of the shield behind the pull start it is stopping the through passage of cooler air from passing over the exhaust. Replace the head cover and get the FG or Hostile heat dispurser .
Georgina Smith thanks for that advice👍👍appreciated. For now I’ll take temps and c how it goes. I’m trying to keep meat from the pipe away from the pull start intake which is hard as they are about 1cm away from each other! 😵
Hpi Baja 5b London thanks mate. Yeah ran sweet as. Hopefully it will stay that way👍. Hope all good w u. How’s the big bore going? Last thing I saw you ripped your brp’s to shreds!! 😵
kevs' life thanks mate👍 loving it at the moment. Looks and sounds great and takes off quick with a smooth jumping style. Good brakes and sharp agile steering a couple of things I’ve not got so much with my tank of a 5t!😂 That’s going big bore anyhow with an alx71... so the plan of a decent std size engined 1/5 with a crazy engined partner is taking shape. 👍👍
Impressive run👍 she jumps well and for me I don't find myself cringing everytime it landed with it being and acting as a light 8th scale. It could do with a some slightly taller gearing. Taller gearing and finlay 29,5 would be a hell of a set up I reckon, great video.
behemothfan666 F T P hi bud. Yeah jumps great. Lands fairly smooth too which is always a good thing. I agree a tooth or 2 up could be great. As long as it still takes off like it does now! 😆
Diy type of guy agreed mate👍. Finding a good spot to run is half the battle! They can be few and far between. That spot in the park is absolutely ideal for 1/8-1/5 bashing. Short grass and ramps everywhere! Heaven. Google maps mate of your local area is a good place e to start. I’ve found a few spots like that. Good luck!😀
Yugo Boss it does mate. Goes where u point it for sure. The losi 5t handles ok. Not anywhere near as nimble steering/ brakes or take off as this though! Dragon steered well and braked well but mine was sluggish on takeoff with the same motor. The 5b losi is a great 1/5 scale for sure. Very usable. The motor heat issue is something to keep an eye on though.
smurf b. What's your price range after new or used.? The rr5 rtr is going brand new for £850 at modelsport and wheelspin models. Also at rcmodelz they have the brand new 30° north buggy rtr for £750 which has a great spec. There was a few 5b rollers on ebay, but unless you have parts already I reckon the new rtr's are better value.
I don’t have parts so new or used I’ll have a look at the 30 north Cheers I’ll keep looking over Xmas an treat myself to a big birthday pressie in January thanks for the advice
smurf b hi mate. 👍👍. I like the mcd stuff and have looked at the rr4 on and off on the used market for a while. Seem good quality but for me owning a losi 5t the 5b made sense as some parts r interchangeable and I know the layout well. This new 30 deg buggy from rcmodelz does look good and good value as an rtr too. It’s early days so I can’t comment on reliability or issues but the rcmodelz guys look after their customers and have put a fair bit of development time into it so it should b decent. To me the losi 5b looks better and looks more “race quality” but the overheating of some engines is a definite negative. The losi 5b is available used... many near new and at this time of year u could pick up a bargain. Mine was about £600 as a roller w servos/ pipe etc. As a newcomer to 1/5 I’d prob go 30 deg 5t or buggy from rcmodelz rtr. Probably the truck as it’s maybe more of an all rounder.
crazyRC world hi bud. Better than the 5t? In ways , yes. Not weighed it but it feels lighter, more nimble breaking and turning. Handles well and jumps well. Without the 5t big body and cage it’s more compact so that helps all those characteristics. Some love that truck body though for the looks and the cage and bumpers make the 5t very bashable and durable. For my style of driving and what I personally want from a small bore 1/5 scale it’s top notch. I’ve a big bore planned for the 5t which should make that awesome too. Fingers crossed! 🤞🏽👍👍
Jon Nantau hi mate. On this occasion no I did not. It was cold out and I felt like I was not running hard for a long period so wasn’t worried. In future though I must get into the habit of taking temps. Next time for sure and I’ll do it on film👍
Hi, Nice vid again. I have a 6s Xmaxx and i know you have an Xmaxx aswel. I’m “allowed” to have one rc car (my wife makes sure of that 😉) and I’m thinking of switching to a gas buggy (losi 5b). Would you do it if you were allowed only one rc car? Grtz Erik
Yugo Boss that might be true but the Xmaxx did kinda out performed some of the more tweaked gas cars at bash fest... I’m just annoyed by the battery life, charging and danger of lipo fire... Only concern for me is storing a gas car. Do they smell like gas all the time? As in... can you keep them in the house?
Hi mate. I store mine in the house. Drain all/ most of the fuel out the tank. It does not smell unless u take off the petrol cap. It’s true that the petrol cars do offer something a battery powered car can’t. The sound/ smell etc all build up to provide a more involved experience.... but there is def a place for battery stuff and in some situations it’s way better or the only option as a petrol/ nitro would just not work due to noise etc. It really depends on your personal circumstances. I’m considering letting my xmaxx v2 go. However when I sold my v1 I missed the option of a big quiet basher. So I’m in no rush to decide. Hard to advise. Would I have my 5b losi as the only Rc? At the moment yes, probably. But that’s due to the group I’m running with. 80+% petrol guys! So when we meet that’s what we run!
Its definitely the smell the sound and the building that has me hooked on 1/5 scale. It too have battery rc's from 1/14 to 1/8 scale and there great. What matters though is running environment and what your buddies have. Joel, I think your in the same position as me. I have the KMX2 remember the Help the heros one from bash fest? That week I got a 5ive B roller and love them both, running a 29cc rcmk engine in the 5B what a machine :)
Erik Brabander. X Max is a toy I had one and I sold it .I keep my gas cars in the house when I am done with them take the gas out and they don't smell. and I don't have to worry about burning down my house with lipo battery
It sounds sweet and it is running really really good
thanks mate. yeah love my 5b. pretty much stock carb settings, victory pipe and rooster tail clutch.
Yes sir I will be doing a LOSI 5B once I'm caught all up

that would be epic mate.....would make a superb colab vid no doubt! good luck with your mtxl. will be watching with interest!
Love it, one of your best purchases bro.
zeus m84 thanks mate. 👍👍. Yeah so far I’m really happy with it. Feel like I got a good deal of fun and Rc for my money which is always a good feeling😆
RC Maxx UK I agree, right after I saw your video I got on eBay to hopefully find one too. It looks super nimble almost like an 1/8 scale, but glad to see you back in action where is you brother from another mother havnt seen him on your channel lately sorry I forget his name?
Great 5b bashing, flies through the air with control. Even the wipe out was normal but the buggy held up just fine. Thumbs up
TheMaddogMadigan thanks mate. Appreciate the comm and the thumbs up!! Buggy is awesome so far!🤪
Sounds beautiful mate. 🎵👂
Tuga RC agreed bud. Love a tuned pipe!👍
Great video mate! That's one rapid buggy and it handles really well! 😉
Demmy Malik thanks mate. Yeah it felt really good. 👍👍. Jumped smooth and handles real nice.
Very nice. Its got great speed too. Cool buy.
cheers, yeah its definitely a superb spot and the buggy ran really well too.
Very nice 👍🏿 indeed pal .. love it 😍

Hpi Baja 5b London thanks mate. Yeah ran sweet as. Hopefully it will stay that way👍. Hope all good w u. How’s the big bore going? Last thing I saw you ripped your brp’s to shreds!! 😵

look forward to seeing that mate ;)
That's a good buggy you got there joel.. Nice
kevs' life thanks mate👍 loving it at the moment. Looks and sounds great and takes off quick with a smooth jumping style. Good brakes and sharp agile steering a couple of things I’ve not got so much with my tank of a 5t!😂

What an awesome spot to bash at, nothing like that here in Michigan USA . Seems like that park is made for it.
That things amazing!
thanks mate ;)
That 5b jumps very well lol I would love to add one to my arsenal!
Floyd Brewer it does mate. Early days for me but at the moment I would recommend it! 😁
Impressive run👍 she jumps well and for me I don't find myself cringing everytime it landed with it being and acting as a light 8th scale. It could do with a some slightly taller gearing. Taller gearing and finlay 29,5 would be a hell of a set up I reckon, great video.

I love iT
Cool cheers
Wish I could find a spot like that

Short grass and ramps everywhere! Heaven. Google maps mate of your local area is a good place e to start. I’ve found a few spots like that. Good luck!😀
that car handles a lot better than your Losi 5T or the dragon hammer
Yugo Boss it does mate. Goes where u point it for sure. The losi 5t handles ok. Not anywhere near as nimble steering/ brakes or take off as this though! Dragon steered well and braked well but mine was sluggish on takeoff with the same motor. The 5b losi is a great 1/5 scale for sure. Very usable. Hello there, I'm new to 5th scale and would like to know what gas to oil ratio do you personally use and what size carb are you using
Hi mate, its the stock carb that comes with the zenoah 290, walbro 668 i believe...25/1 ratio i go with bud
Does Losi still manufacture and sell the 5B?
She looks to be dialed..will be getting one soon I'm sure
thanks mate. ;)
I can tell by your smile that this is a very fun one to drive...happy holidays
and to you mate, cheers
runs right.
General Hobbies thanks mate. Well pleased with the package. 👍
mate love the vid the 5b is out of my price range at the moment but whats your veiw on the mcd rr4 or rr5

I'm really tempted by the 30° buggy but I bought a 5ive b roller 3 months ago,
smurf b hi mate. 👍👍. I like the mcd stuff and have looked at the rr4 on and off on the used market for a while. Seem good quality but for me owning a losi 5t the 5b made sense as some parts r interchangeable and I know the layout well.

It's a Sick as buggy, im waiting to build mine, is it better then the 5 t? What do you think?

Did you happen to take any motor temps?
Jon Nantau hi mate. On this occasion no I did not. It was cold out and I felt like I was not running hard for a long period so wasn’t worried. In future though I must get into the habit of taking temps. Next time for sure and I’ll do it on film👍
mate need to ask you question privately how can i do this
smurf b hi mate. R u on Facebook? If so look up RcMAXXuk chat group. That’s my little group for people to chat 👍
do you still have the 5b mate
What gear do you used?
Hi, Nice vid again. I have a 6s Xmaxx and i know you have an Xmaxx aswel. I’m “allowed” to have one rc car (my wife makes sure of that 😉) and I’m thinking of switching to a gas buggy (losi 5b). Would you do it if you were allowed only one rc car? Grtz Erik

By the way where did you get those tires and wheels?
crazyRC world bought them used from the same guy I bought the car from. 👍👍
Silverback wheels and beadlocks with proline blockade tyres. Good foams that I also taped. 👍
Ok thanks bud, keep up the good work.
where do you buy the tires ???
Hi mate, eBay has them sometimes... I bought them used from a mate. proline blockades... ;)
The Ford sticker ruins it Bro. cause ford = fixed or repaired daily 😁
:D
