- Path of Exile 3.24 Necropolis introduced a large amount of new unique items, including some new uber boss exclusive drops. One of those is a new Uber Shaper boss drop, a belt called The Tides of Time. This new unique belt can enable a lot of things on a lot of different builds, from providing a stepping stone to Mageblood for normal flask usage, to allowing the character full uptime on some unique flasks. However, despite the belt essentially providing Pathfinder's flask generation ascendancy notable to other classes, The Tides of Time may ironically be best suited to the Pathfinder ascendancy itself...

Not mentioned in the video: You can use an Impossible Escape jewel for Perfect Agony(Careful Conservationist) or Arrow Dancing(Natural Remedies) to gain a bunch of useful flask duration/gain stats from anywhere on the tree. (thank you Healara)
I use this belt because of the "100% increased Mana Recovery from Flasks". My mana flask recovers about 18k mana in 5.5 sec, which is great with Indigon and unique Manastorm shield. On top of that it gives about 11k life recovery. All of this combination allows me to use a kinetic bolt with a cost of 2.5k mana))
that belt has to be my fav new unique no cap, I appreciate how GGG goes crazy with belts and amulet these days, the approach of "let's make all of them broken powerful but the player has to only choose 1"
It's kind of crazy how much competition the belt and amulet slot have these days(and pretty much every slot tbh), so many powerful unique items have been added to the core game just in the last 5 or 6 leagues alone.
belt league when?
@@-JackER When dad comes home
You can also use magic jewels rolled with flask duration in an adorned setup to get a bunch of extra flask duration on any build. That will help your flask uptime with this belt immensely.
Great video! Thanks! I was just looking at that belt.
I'm running a low-end Pathfinder and it really works well for me. Permanent Unique Flasks, Good life recovery via flask, and well rolled basic flasks are all working as needed.
Some basic tinkering in PoB with Flask clusters, definitely room for improvement with proper math or more trial and error:
6-Passive Medium Cluster Jewel
LevelReq: 67
~Added Small Passive Skills grant: 6% increased Flask Effect Duration
P1 Added Passive Skill is Fasting
P2 Added Small Passive Skills have 35% increased Effect
S1 Added Small Passive Skills also grant: 3% increased Flask Charges gained
==Witch/Templar== Essence Extraction Wheel
With four of these, you get 100% uptime on a Progenesis with the lowest possible rolls.
Just two gets you to 91%avg/86%min with a 50/50 roll on Progenesis.
Two with one allocated small node gets you 100%/98% on a perfectly rolled Progenesis.
==Duelist== Druidic Rite wheel and Natural Remedies
Three full jewels gets you to 100%/93% on a bottom tier Progenesis. (You can just take Careful Conservationist to get a better result of 100/97 if you're already pathing to the Projectile Damage cluster socket.)
Two jewels, one fully allocated and one with 2 points gets you to 100%/98% on a 50/50 Progenesis
One jewel fully allocated gets you 100%/95% on a perfectly rolled flask.
==Shadow== Careful Conservationist
Two full jewels plus Natural Remedies and Druidic Rite gets you to 100%/97% on a lowest roll Progenesis.
10 of 10 points on two jewels with the 10% flask charges gained from Repleneshing Remedies' wheel gets you to 99%/93% on a 50/50 Progenesis.
9 of 10 points on two jewels gets you to 100% on a perfect rolled flask.
Lots of good info in here
Thanks. Opportunity cost seems too high on non-Pathfinder. :/ Should be great for something like Sabo Wardloop though.
you can get flask duration from tattoos too, this belt is so sick lol, flask are so versatile when you can get their uptime near 100%
Great video. I abused this belt as a trickster with Progen, Sun, Hate, visk with The Traitor timeless jewel for 100% uptime while fighting.
You can combine it with brutal restraint with "increased flask charged gained" extra stat on notables, and even with Traitor but just using 1 empy flask slot instead of the usual 2 that the builds that use the keystone go for. Using that combination means removing 1 flask but it also alleviates the need for more flask related passives.
Impressive jungroan said something about this belt thx to you i get it now tyvm outstanding job as always
This with Perandus Pact for chaos res - makes me wanna build Chieftan RF Life stacker with Ivory Tower
You make me want to come back and continue play my pathfinder.
Impossible escape with arrow dancing helps most builds reach near perma flasks with the belt. You need way less clusters with imp escape an
I've been using this belt since it first became available. I use 5 utility flasks so it made it much cheaper to only have that stat rolled to 3. It is the poor mans mageblood but it is better than mageblood in a few ways, with the big one being unique flasks are affected by it. I have 0 flask duration on my tree but have 4 unique flasks that have 3 charges when hit by an enemy so I never run out of charges anyways. You can go overkill with pathfinder to boost the effect of magic flasks by 30% and gain charges every few seconds. Such a good item.
Kind of comical that this is more common than starforge given how horrendous starforge is in the modern game conpared to rare weapons
This and also how powerful this belt is - when they announced the lineup of uber drops from Shaper, I fully expected this belt to be the rarest drop from that encounter. Interesting that this is not only more common, but it's a LOT more common, like 20 times as common as Starforge.
Starforge is still cool and pretty though!
I am playing a Witch with the new Tornado Skill Gem , I Use a Annihilating Light and a Lightning Coil. So with the Belt i can have 100% uptime on Tast of Hate, Ruby,Topaz and The Wise Oak Flask to give me the Resistens i need and i get 10% Ele Pen and 7.5% reduced Damage taken from The Wise Oak.
Im currently running a PF using this, Maxu, 40% Doppelgangers and the Tempered By War Keystone to basically turn everything into Fire and Chaos (only have 28% phys taken as fire/chaos though so thats the current weakness) and its VERY chunky. Main issue Ive found is just getting swarmed by very fast attacking phys-damage dealing mobs.
I got the same issue, the straight forward solution for me is defiance of destiny / bloodnotch. I can fit the amulet into my build but bloodnotch is out of question, still looking for some genius to find a better solution. Currently im sitting at stacking recovery (3k atm) and heavily recoup.
@@phusonhuynh9912 yeah the doppelgangers helps a bit since its 10% regen when hit. Unfortunately, playing Forb Rite and went for a Replica Dragonsfang.
Progenesis might be something due to the amount of flask effect you natually get alongside some great uptime to counter getting swarmed but it happens rarely enough that Im not sure its worth it.
Combine this with a replica sorrow of the divine Mind over Matter setup aswell, Pious Path...finder.
Pious Pathfinder
I'm at least year have idea to use Pathfinder with cloak of defiance and this flask, but can't find how to deal damage.
This opens possibility for easily sustainable Righteous Fire buff for more Spell damage
Lol my RF Chieftan with Ivory Tower kinda like that VERY MUCH
@@spuryaasit is kind of baller because you dont even need much ES to deal help deal with RF dot
For people doubting the belt : It's used in mirror tier gear POBS on standard... ;)
Well yes, because of the legacy unique flasks that are insane lmao
@lookslikeitsraining6105 realistically its more for the fact it allows you to truly have 100% uptime for ubers on MF builds
@@Mana-nm8fglook up divination distillate pre nerf
@TheModdedwarfare3 i own a 6/22%/50% i know how good they used to be but the pobs im talking about arent using it. Abusing progenesis mainlt with legacy vinktar but its still massive to be able to effortlessly reach 80% flask effect with it..
absolutely addicted to this belt, used it on a manastacker first with coruscating elixir to get permanent all res while also being lowlife setup for the dmg boost, taste of hate to give enough physmit with endurance charges on heiro to allow for going evasion instead of armour, and then all the extra res opened flexibility on gear a lot more.
The defensive bonus of maxres on top of the flask uptime and effect you get from the belt makes it incredibly strong for almost any build that doesnt require specific influenced stats like % increased attributes
can i see your pob?
Curious to know if a non-Heirophant Indigon user could use this belt + a mana flask for colossal mana sustain. Indigon feels nearly impossible to use on non-Heirophant classes
The mana recovery portion of ths belt is something I'm going to be exploring next hopefully
Does the belt increase the damage of poisonous concoction has anybody tested the interaction between that skill and the belt
dont forget petrified blood with pathfinder^^ last league i used it with a progenesis und a defiance destiny and it was crazy. but there i had a micrto destilerie belt with tinkture for effect. dying was hard
nice belt for worm blasting too if that ever becomes a thing again
Between my buddy and I, we probably run 250 Uber shapers. Dropped 2 sublime and about 80 of these. They're about a 35% drop
Actually insane how powerful this item is for how common it is
I know someone using two enkindled Progenesis with this. Was cheaper at the time and far tankier
Great video , also love the belt! Agree that it shines on a pathfinder and far beats mageblood on that ascendency if used right. There are probably many more use cases but mahuxotl shield + replica sorrow of the divine flask + a life flask is full everlasting sacrifice (with autohotkey lol) which i think is really strong already.
Could you please explain how this interact with Mahu shield?
@@iparadoxgOne of keystones on the shield is "start with 0 es, no es recharge, when you get full es, sacrifice it to get +5% max res". Replica flask gives "inquisitor es regen" but for flasks. So life flask also gives easy uptime on this keystone.
i wouldnt depend on Alchemist's genius to for the increased flask charges gained, it is active for only 4 seconds on flask usage, we will be increasing flask duration to above 10 seconds in order to recover their charges, most flasks will activate automatically within the same small time span, unless you manually kickstart the flasks in staggered intervals, it wont be up most of the time.
im currently using it on an inquisitor, i don't have the optimum setup yet, but with the essence extraction cluster + (Druidic Rite or Natural Remedies) anoint and atleast 27% flask quality and T1 reduced charges per use on the flask, you can have permanent uptime on ele res flasks out of combat, that is the least amount if investment passive point wise i found to achieve that.
for unique flasks you need more investment, while i think the flask duration cluster isnt optimal, i dont see alternatives.
Is it work with Supreme Decadence?
Maybe we can use these together with Petrified Blood + EB + MoM
And we will get double regen and also can tank hits.
yes it will :) aswell with Sorrow of the divine :)
@@minmor03 Thank for the confirm.
The Replica one also give us the EB so that is less pathing point spent.
Combine this belt with Traitor keystone and get easy sustain for 3-4 flasks
Guess im going pathfinder next league if the drop rate aint nerfed
Mon, agnostic build would love that mana regen
I got baited by the jung rogan into buying one of these and I never looked back
Jungle Ryan is at it again!
That belt + Overflowing Chalice would give you basically 100% uptime. Overflowing Chalice was already an extremely underrated tool for flask uptime; given how cheap this belt and that flask are I'm thinking it's worth it.
I'm not saying pathfinder needs a nerf [it does], but GGG could numerically buff 200+ skill gems substantially, and we'd still have 15% PF meta
PF has substancially decreased in popularity this league though
It did get a nerf this league with flask rework
Me thinking about olroths resolve(probably bad but that can't stop me from trying)
You gotta test things out to find out for sure!
It's "70% less Ward during Flask Effect" scales with flask effect. So 25% from this belt wil make it "87,5 less"
Yeah I'm just thinking this could get you to infinite flask without the traitor and maybe that's worth it and maybe you can find some reduced flask effect or something
I really like this belt on Chains of Command Scion. Not only you get insane amount of utility flasks because you gain access to Pathfinder's flask gain, you also get a free worm flask press every second to keep up your minions. Hybrid flasks (writhing jar) get to double dip on the 3 life flasks and 3 mana flasks because they're separate lines. This gives you 6 writhing flask charges a second without a pathfinder ascendancy. With Pathfinder ascendancy you get 3 more (6 total) and with Replenishing Remedies you get 10 total per second without % increased flask charge on tree.
This opens up wormblaster tech (if we can find a workable one this league).
Haven't found a build yet that can utilize this unfortunately.
Has been my bis belt for pf since start of the league :))) 100% up progenesis with 3 flask nodes on the tree :)))
I was reading unique flask after the video and : Replica Sorrow of the Divine sounds kind of broken
Yes, this flask has been very strong on PF for a few leagues now
Aurabots uses this belt to enable the elixir uptime so they dont have to pick pathfinder ascendancy. @Dreamcore
Unfortunately when you see the price of progenesis, you might as well buy a mageblood...
Progenesis is half the price of Mageblood? It's a different build setup entirely
What 'entry' level costs 20Divines?
its a 1 in 4 to get utility flasks 3 but dont be me and burn 10 divines rofl oh well rofl
Ikiaho's Promise also offers "increased Life Recovery from Flasks" + It turns life & mana flasks into seething flasks once you reach low life.
and yep this remind me of my legacy taste of hate
xbox prices 💀
I disagree, the closest thing to a MB replacement you're going to get is a Watcher's Eye with flask charge gained on crit under precision, as a crit build.
That has a built in cd of like 1 flask per 0.1 ms or something like that, so that's wrong. Even if that worked tides of time would still be way better
Flask charges are shared, so using a watchers eye with flask charges on crit will only fill 1 random flask equipped at a time (which is how flask charges are filled normally). The Tides of Time, depending on rolls, can fill multiple flasks at a time because of the wording on the belt.
There's a reason why it's not rare drop because it can roll 0 flask charges so stop overrating things that leading to drop nerfs
do hybrid flasks work with this belt?
