      @@lenny108 We would not recommend adding silver to copper clay. Copper and silver have what’s called a galvanic reaction and the copper will eventually corrode at the connection point.

    One hour doesn't seem like a very long time, especially if you are working on larger pieces! Are there other similar products available that last longer?
    How do you dispose of the spent pen?

      Hello, unfortunately we do not know of any other products that last longer. We did carry a rechargeable plating pen; however, these are no longer being manufactured. Once the pen has been used up you can simply toss it in the trash. Hope this helps!

    Your website link to the 24 carat gold solution MSDS sheet is broken. Please make that visible as it is required by law. Also i want to know which chemical in its composition is requiring you to put the "This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer".

    Can you apply multiple coats in order to get a thicker layer of gold?

      Hello, we would recommend dabbing the areas of silver you want to oxidize with a q-tip, keeping away from the gold area that has been plated. Hope this helps!

    How long will/dies the plating last

      Hello, the plating should last infinitely as long as it is properly taken care of. It does create a thin layer, so it would be recommended to create additional coats. Hope this helps!

    Just a tip, it might be best to plate a nickel barrier layer onto the silver first, so that the 24K does not migrate into the silver over time.

    When you say the gold is thin, does that mean it will wear off quickly?? How thick can you make it??? Also, what do you mean that you have a full hour. What happens after an hour? Also, why can’t you reuse the tips?.

      This process creates a very thin layer of gold called flash plating which is only for decorative purposes. This product is not designed for heavy build. Have a good day!

      Will it wear off eventually? Do you only recommend for earring and pendants or can it be used for rings? I’ve see the aura 22 gold liquid that’s fired on, is this similar?
