I’ve been thinking of getting fold pro also i use bishop shader and ambition soldier but i do want an adjustable

Is it a tiny bit heavier than the previous Fold Pro? I suppose it’s might be the other grip. Any other differences? Not sure which one to choose. Nice background music btw, very relaxing ;) thanks!
I haven’t tried the other Fold Pro but with the big grip it has a nice weight to it towards the front, I have been using the smaller grip in my shop lately and it has been working great. Thank you!
Ive been looking at getting a fold pro, ive been using a bishop power wand packer as my main machine, i like the idea of adjustable stroke lengths, nice review, it looks quite big, not sure if you have small hands or its a big machine 😁
Compared to the packer power wand it is a bit longer. Compared to any other adjustable stroke wireless machine I've tried it is one of the shortest. It has a very nice balance to it with the larger grip. I used a Packer Wand for quite a while until I found a good adjustable stroke machine with a strong motor (V12 MAX). This Fold Pro may be my new favorite machine, they have really thought it through, the stroke adjustment mechanism works the smoothest of any I've tried and they put a very solid motor in this one, I may not need my Liner wand anymore for larger needle groupings (11RL+).

I can't wait to get mine just what I need is another machine not sure what to do with the two outer ones I have. This one will take place of booth of my other ones. I have a mast pro and one other dragon hawk machine love them booth but who needs three pens. The fold 2 will be nice
I love all your reviews your hands down one of the greats...but dragonhawk/mast has onky made probly 3 maxhine I could use daily...they just don't last....and this looks like a clone of ambition/xnet machines...one is the mars I think the other I'd have to look.i just wish dragonhawk/mast would make a 2 machine kit....one 5mm stroke or 4.5mm stroke liner and a 4mm or 3.8mm shader.....now I'd pay for that from them.i still won't put down my og bishop wand liner,packer and my fk irons exo I use for my shader...but your reviews 🎉🎉❤ the best keep it up cause I love em!
What do you mean they don't last? Motor burns out or battery starts dying quick?
Thanks Vapestar! I don't think this machine is clone of any other, they said they made a brand new motor for it and it seems like it, the most powerful, consistent and quiet motor I have tried yet.

This is the best of any of those as it has an updated motor that runs stronger with less vibration. You also get the two different grip types with this one which is great for versatility.
What needles would you recommend for shading and line work?
I like CNC Dimension, Yilong DermaPro and Ascent Needles best.
would you recommend this for learning? I mainly want to focus on something for bold lines for traditional!

Thank you 🙏 The Fold Pro is more versatile, a better weight for lining especially with the larger grip, and having 2 batteries and an rca connection makes for a longer lasting machine. Plus it is my all time favorite machine right now, go for the Fold Pro 2024.

I haven't tried the Fold3 but Dragonhawk told me it is a newer motor in the Pro 2024, so I would say go for the Pro, you also get the thicker grip which is really nice to have.

Excuse me, are direct drive motors more durable and powerful or normal motors? 🙏🙏
Hi, no direct drive does not refer to the motor itself but the drive mechanism the motor uses to push the needle. For example a direct drive uses an armature offset at different lengths to change how hard the machine hits. A swash plate uses a disc with waves or indentations to in it to control the hit. Both use motors. There are many different motors out there which vary in power and durability. Usually you want to look for the wattage of a motor for the power, but most companies don't list that these days so it is hard to determine from looking at stats. For durability Swiss motors are the most consistently durable, German and Swiss motors are mostly durable with a bit of variation, Chinese motors have a huge amount of variation in durability.
The motor in this machine is a brand new Chinese motor that runs like a Swiss motor, it is very powerful and has basically no vibration, one of the best I've tried. This system is an adjustable stroke swash drive system. I have been running it everyday since getting it with no issues, I highly recommend this machine for both power and durability.
This machine can use for Permanent make up?
I usually using 1RL 0.25mm needle.
It's compatible with universal cartridges?
Yes, at the lower stroke lengths it should work great for PMU

They recommend not to but I do it all the time with no issue.

It depends on how long you have been using it, if you have been using it consistently for a year or so the motor is likely worn down. If you are happy with your current one I would keep using it until you feel it get weaker.
I have an emergency need to replace my Peak Proteus on a budget because their customer service/warranty department is awful, and I'm trying to decide between Dragonhawk Fold Pro or the Wormhole Orion Pro. How do you think they compare/which would you say is better? The specs on all 3 machines honestly seem almost identical and I wouldn't be surprised if it was all the same manufacturer and hardware with different bodies. Thanks for your help!
I can assure you the Fold Pro 2024 is an entirely different machine from the Orion Pro. Much better motor in it, runs basically silent there is so little vibration, I highly recommend this machine, it has been my main machine since getting it.

How to adjust needle depth in dragonhawk fold pro dragon edition
Twist the grip, same as all other pen style machines.
But when I start twisting my grip it open full can you show me how it's done
what do strokes regulate??
How hard the needles hit the skin.
Is it still going well after a few months? This seems to tick all of the boxes for me, I was looking at Bishops but as a beginner, want to try all of the. Stroke lengths.

You say the new 2024 fold pro motor is better... did they increase the rpms from the 6000 on the original fold pro, because the 6000 is rather slow.
I’m not sure about the RPMs but I can tell you this machine has the strongest lowest vibrations motor of any machine I’ve used, it gets the ink in fast and saturated.

@@isaactorres898 I have found the swash plate to be more efficient, it gets the ink in fast while doing less damage to the skin.
@floatytattoo is it really the best machine in the budget price range? yes, its hyping a lot now but what is your honest opinion vs anubis or myb another machine? cause im sceptical about rpm..its just 6500.. that's the lowest power motor as there can be..i understand that dragonhawk is mostly good marketing and etc that is why it is so popular but vs mummy anubis 10'000 rpm motor at the same price range i can't really see much benefits to choose fold pro..myb i'm wrong..ok anubis is heavier..but better motor power and heavier machine means supposedly lower vibration- best performance and of course it has much better batterry life.. so if we exclude the weight differences.. which one would be the best for all rounder beginner friendly machine?
The Fold Pro 2024 is the best machine I have ever used period. I have been using it as my main machine since getting it and I have been finishing tattoos 1.5-2x faster than before. RPM means nothing as far as I can tell for motors, it is Wattage/Torque that matters most, which neither machine posts numbers on (Anubis/Fold). The Fold Pro has the quietest, least vibration, highest torque motor I have ever used, to be honest the Anubis is pretty weak and over priced in comparison. All I can say is get this machine and you won’t be disappointed.
