The title says it all. We used some components from the AEA Defender 2, plus our own barrels (410ga) and triggering system, to make a pen gun that fits right into a pocket.
I had this same idea and thought, I bet somebody else has done this already... and here you are!
Now I want this, but combined with a pepper spray and flashlight in one (somewhat bulky) handheld package.
This is why I have been a subscriber of his since day one. A master armorer, he is.
This guy should help Bin at Aea.😮
Sweet love it, you come up with some amazing ideas. Like the idea of the short barrels in the defender being able to take off the extension would be nice.
Thing looks pretty awesome. I think it is cool you had the knowledge and know how to put it together. I didnt see it on the website. Eh oh well I'm just browsing anyway. I love the idea of air guns. It's awesome to have that kind of power and lethality but air powered.
I’ll double check but it should be listed as a. 410 air gun, but I will actually ship any barrel you want in the AEA line or my customs. 357, 35cal smooth bore, 410, 45 cal, and 50 cal
Your certainly pumping out some incredible and innovative products. Very impressive. May we request to see it actually shooting? I'd just like to see it in action and how much recoil, if any, that it has. I can image it has a bit of a kick and possibly some reverb like vibration post shot.
Absolutely, I have done two follow-up videos. Yes, you are correct, piercing the burst disk creates a lot of pressure which drives the hammer back and this was the single hardest thing to overcome. After countless design changes, we have an air channel that partially bypasses the bolt lessening the recoil.
Price and availability on AEA DEFENDER pen launcher
Pretty cool dude. Unfortunately, I can't carry that for self defense off of my property because I love in NY state and you'll catch an Attempted M charge. This is the main reason I haven't gotten a defender. I dont even carry my hdr 50 since extending the valve chamber because it is so devastating. Mainly just carry my byrna, some spray and a blade or stungun. Great video man 👍👍
It’s pretty said. I wonder how long it will be until we’ve reverted back to stones and clubs being the only acceptable self defense weapons
@@texomaprecisionpellet7545 ain't that the truth. NY, CA, PA, NJ have some whack airgun laws. Illinois requires a person to have an airgun license! NY, NJ and PA will charge you with concealing a firearm for carrying a pellet gun. PA doesn't even allow air markers for self defense or edc so technically you can't carry byrna on your persons, which is crazy because PA has some pretty lax gun laws.
Are the barrels rifled? I am disabled, and use a cane as a walking balance confidence aid. Can these "air pen guns" be adapted to a hollow walking cane?
This has come up several times, and we are looking into both use in canes as well as walking sticks.
Would you thread the end of one with 1/2 unf so I can use my doonfl??
If those defender barrels weren't so terribly unreliable this would be awesome. The defender is a great idea but I would never trust my life to it
The machines that make my custom 410 barrels also make aircraft parts with a .0002” +/- tolerance. Perhaps you could explain to me how my parts are crap?
@@texomaprecisionpellet7545 impressed with your reply... So these are basically cylindrical guns (pens) that utilize defender barrels right? I have seen countless videos of the defender barrels just not maintaining pressure to be relied on. (Including reviews)This is even evident after clear strikes from the firing pins to the burst disks. May be user error, may be a design flaw.?.Correct me if I am wrong, because I really have absolute hopes in it, because it is an astounding idea. Plus, I am quite new to PCP's. The bottom of my heart wants an AEA defender &/ this design with the barrels , but would I invest 350+ and carry something that i can't trust? All respect and definitely not bashing.
@@radiorahim861the only part I utilize from a Defender is an air cartridge, the barrel spec and manufacture is mine, and the firing mechanism is mine and I make it. You don’t need to purchase a 350.00 Defender to use the pengun, but you would need a charge nipple to charge the air cartridge.
Do you sell any 410 slugs for the barrels you make?
Absolutely, though I have not yet had the good sense to list them on my website. Thanks for the reminder, I will get them listed ASAP. Keep in mind, I will probably only make them in a couple configurations (#8 shot or #4 buck), but I am happy to make just about anything a customer wants.
Can u make this in 30 cal
What about blowgun darts
Yup, you can screw on the arrow launcher from the Gen 1 Defender
Very Very cool!! However I don't think my state would allow me to own that. It would be a fine line between prison or just an air projectile.
Individuals need to know their own state laws. With that said, this was presented to an ATF agent who bluntly said, "It's not a gun." any applicable local and state laws concerning pistol air guns would apply.
Is that with the short or long barrel?
It’s pictured with both, there are three caliber choices, and short or long (6 choices told).
Sorry my question was not clear. I was asking if you achieved the pass through (12inch +) penetration with the long or short barrel. Thanks in advance
@@Jaemon4Eva short barrel
Where can you get one from
I will list them on my website tonight, www.texomaprecisionpellet.com
Finally got them listed,
Is your gel calibrated ? Looks real soft
US standard is 10%, Euro is 20%, I run 12%
@@texomaprecisionpellet7545 That's cool kinda a trade off. Calibrated is when you shoot a bb about 600 fps for 2.9. to 3.7 inches of penetration into bare gel. That is How people know a standard for the gel so penetration data is relevant to other tests. That way we can compare one weapon to another.
I'm really interested in your designs is why I ask. Great work.
Hope I don't come off rude but I'm just wanting to be sure about the data. Thanks
