Are you going to react to the saber route anime and the sakura route anime movies? The saber route is canon, ubw is the alternate timeline, and the sakura route is the second alternate timeline. Fate/stay night is 3 different timelines that each cover a different route of the original fate visual novel. So please react to stay night and heavens feel before reacting to the others, because the other series expand on this series.

Yes, the three routes happened in different timeline, but none of the three routes is the "true canon", all of them is canon.
The only alternative thing related to FSN is Zero, because it happened in a different parallel world, unlike the routes in FSN that only had different timeline but still took place in the same world.
Lancer's NP is named Gae Bolg. As seen here Lancer thrusts the spear forward and Saber managed to parry it only for time to seemingly stop and then rewind back and hit her again, this time she didn't manage to dodge it.
Gae Bolg flips casuality. Normally it should be;
Cause: "Spear is thrust"
results in
Effect: "Heart is pierced"
but because of Gae Bolg's power it becomes
Cause: "Heart is pierced"
results in
Effect: "Spear is thrust"
Meaning the moment Gae Bolg's name is called, the *target's heart is already pierced.* Lancer is *only thrusting the spear to affirm that outcome.* So no matter how much you try dodging or parrying the strike, reality itself will force the outcome as seen here with time stopping and rewinding.
Now as for how Saber managed to not get hit in the heart, instead only to get hit slightly above her heart. It's through a combination of her Luck stat vs Lancer Luck, her Instinct skill(which is near precognition) and high enough agility stat to actually act on it.
Luck in Fate isn't just normal luck, it's actually your ability to defy fate. Saber has better luck than Lancer and combined that with her Instinct skill telling her what's going to happen, and enough agility stat to actually move and redirect the spear, she managed to slightly alter her fate of "getting pierced through her heart" to "getting pierced through near her heart."
Also, yes Lancer's NP got beaten by Luck and that's a running joke in Fate that Lancers generally have bad luck stats.
Jokes aside, that NP should generally be unavoidable. It's the reason why Lancer was surprised with Saber actually managing to "dodge" it(she still got hit but not in the heart).

Well, it's a mix of that and her high magic resistance, since Lancer's NP effect is basically a curse.

It's been explained in the end of Fate/Zero that he tried to go back to the Einzberns to at least speak with them or see his daughter. The entire (massive) area they own was protected by a barrier, which blocked him out.
Kiritsugu hasn't seen his daughter since he left the mansion for the holy grail war.

If I'm not mistaken, that seal appears on the hand of people whom the grail has chosen as potential masters. But in order to become a real master, you have to summon a servant before all 7 spots are taken. That's why Kirei told Tohsaka last episode to hurry up with her summon, if she wanted to be part of this war.
So with that mark on her hand in mind, Sakura could at least be a potential master (which makes sense, since she probably is one of the strongest mages in town as a Tohsaka by birth). If she actually became a master though ... Hopefully we'll see more of her in the future.
The blurred mark on a hand is just a sign that a mage can be a master, but doesn't have to. Sakura has a possibility to be one but if she actually is, will see. Also take note that Shirou didn't perform any summoning ritual, the circle was just there since Fate/Zero and it was The Grail that summoned her by the moment of Shirou's desperation. Actually it's always The Grail that does summoning, the ritual is only the intent to become a master and 'picking' the Servant with the use of a relic.
Funfact : If I'm not mistaken, Illya, Kiritsugu's daughter is older than Shirou

I wouldn’t say it’s underrated, the series itself is super well-known worldwide. Some of the anime are underrated though, this not being one of them imo. Babylonia is one that comes to mind for underrated.

shirou is dead, but inside his body is an avalon sheath, that's why he can come back to life like Ilyasviel & Kiritsugu and that's also why he can summon King arthur because the sheath acts as a catalyst for summoning

In general you have either Recurve or Compound bows. Recurves are the closest in style and design to traditional bows, but the bow you see being used here are traditional "long bows", which nearly every culture has used in Europe to Asia and even other islands.
Long bows and recurve bows are more difficult to pull due to the added weight of the string you need to pull. In general you either deal with 30 to 60 pound weight on the compound bow, while the long bow could be 40 to 80 pound weight on the drawstring.
Because these are more 'primitive' in a manner of speaking, accuracy is much more difficult. Archery accuracy is incredibly difficult.
In Fate/Stay Night visual novel, Emiya Shirou talks about the 7 steps of Archery which is a real thing in JP. Most of the 7 steps involves 'stances' such as pulling the string, aiming, letting go of the arrow, and follow-through. All of the poses/stances you see when you watch japanese archers generally follow this 7 step process, partially for discipline to hone archery skills.
The reason why long bows are superior to short bows is in the advantage of heavier drawstring-weight, when you set up the bowstring, you can set up how tight the string is, and therefore the weight. Long bows are able to shoot farther distance than short bows.
Context for lancer he’s a Celtic demigod hero kinda like irish Hercules but son of the sun god with a spear that essentially breaks the laws of physics making the effect/result happen before the cause/action to make sure to land a fatal hit that why the spear bends around in a split second to cause the action is accommodating to the reality of the effect/result .

@@FlorinValentin14 I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt by pointing out that watching it with someone else, while recording a CZcams video makes it much more difficult to pay attention to everything. They’re having to explain their thoughts to each other and the audience instead of us just watching it at home. I would definitely miss more if I were in their position, especially I relatively small detail like that.

As someone who watched FATE STAY NIGHT UBW before watching FATE ZERO i can confidently say that Stay night stands up really well on its own. The whole concept can be understood and the season is really great without all the context. Of course there is a lot of characters that you dont know the signifigance of unless you see the first series but its still great.
I started at UBW also and it was amazing on its own but i still think zero is better to watch before hand

It may be the correct order of events if you’re going for a linear timeline, but….Wish they woulda watched them in release order. I feel like fate zero hits so much harder if you watch UBW first like how they came out. And UBW seems a little more mysterious with the characters and the lore around the grail. Oh well… guess some like to go in universe chronological order for Zero and then (your choice of route). on a side note, So many people love the Rin route, but I really like the Sakura route. And I guess there are plenty that like the Saber route as well. Hope they watch the heavens feels movies, because that’s some real fucked up shit. Maybe I’m a glutton for pain? I still remember watching UBWwhen it first released. God ufotable were so far ahead of the game as far as 3d/2d compositing. And now after so many years they have truly perfected it. UBW still looks amazing even after what almost a decade. What was it, like 2014/15 when this dropped if I recall.

Saber did not waste time when she was summoned once more. There’s something that makes Arturia (King Arthur) different from the rest of the servants. And if you REALLY want to know you’d have to watch Deen’s Fate Stay Night. I can’t give you anymore details but Saber or any servant for that matter do no not keep any memories of any Previous Holy Wars should they be summoned again… but Arturia does…
Dude but that was because kiritsugu made some kind of connection with artoria for emiya and you know how the whole emiya and artoria connection lead up to and all the servants remember a little bit of every time they were summoned you know if you played grand order

All servants are technically a copies of the real heroes who were recorded into the throne of heroes. (I think that’s what it was called) If they are summoned again their memories of any previous Holy Wars (if they were previously summoned) is wiped clean. That’s canon. Saber is different you have to watch DEEN’s fate stay night. She didn’t make a contract with Kiri, but rather… someone/something else
