A Day in the Life of a Seminarian

- Like Christ who spent 30 years preparing himself for his ministry through the ordinary moments of everyday life, our seminarians are similarly formed and refined during their time in the seminary through more ways than one. Their time spent together in community living, prayer, and academic coursework help nurture them into the compassionate and devoted shepherds that our Church needs.
This Good Shepherd Sunday, let us pray for our seminarian brothers and all those who are discerning the call to the priesthood. May they be filled with the courage to answer God’s call wholeheartedly and for every grace that they need to persevere in their journey towards becoming shepherds after the heart of God.

This video production has brought back beautiful and vivid memories of my formation years in SFXMS Punggol Spore. (different location 😅 ). The formators, brothers and staff all played a pivotal role in the pruning and formation years. I miss them all and i sincerely do miss my seminary years too. Yes there are many challenges but it prepares you for parish life etc. Dear Brothers , my two cents worth, be open and transparent with the Lord Jesus truly present in the Holy Eucharist .Speak to HIM. Keep the daily date before the tabernacle faithfully. Daily Eucharistic Adoration is highly essential. Regular confession , lots of laughter and bonding very much needed. Everyone is unique and called by the Lord of the Harvest. Keeping all of you in my prayers especially at the Holy Mass.

Thank you for sharing with us, a day in the life of a seminarian and giving us a glimpse of what and how our priests go through for years before joining the various parishes. What really touches me is Monsignor Lau’s conviction and his advice in 4:21.
