  • Before we sit in Church - most of us genuflect or make the sign of the cross and bow before the altar. As Catholic Christians, we believe that the Lord Jesus is truly present in the Tabernacle. But how many of us are truly convinced that Jesus is present in the Eucharist? Join us with Fr Bartolo Maria OCD as we uncover the teaching and doctrine of Transubstantiation and Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

01:48 What is the Eucharist and why is it so important to Catholics?
03:25 How the Catholic beliefs differ from other denominations

Thank you Fr Bartolo, you explained it so clearly and concisely. And especially for celebrating Mass and giving us the Holy Eucharist so lovingly and reverently.

I am sorry that other Christians believe that Christ was never present. Didn't He say 'It is finished' ?

Amen. Yes He is present because He is the end of the law. At the Supper, we pass from the old Aeon into the new. The future is open because Christ brings the future into the present.
