- It’s finally TRAVEL DAY! Come with us as we travel to the airport the night before we fly with British Airways to Crete. Charlie loves to stay at the airport before travel day so he can start his holiday a day early with some Percy Pigs from the terminals M&S so this time we have chosen The Sofitel at Heathrow’s Terminal 5

Great vlog guys . For next time you use T5 flying with BA you can check your bags in the night before until 9pm for a flight before 1. Definitely saves you time especially for a early flight . Always love this type of vlog about travel days and was fantastic to see you both had a great time at the Sofitel and just generally really like happy upbeat videos . Can’t wait for the next one in the series really pleased that I found your channel on my homepage keep up the great content 🙂

Quality video , myself and wife always do a pre travel day hotel even though if we fly from Luton it’s 10 mins aways or Heathrow 30 mins away . Best thing we ever done as I’m just in excitement mode like a child and I’m 50 lol your very likeable lads and I wish you all the best , we’re flying to Mexico in October November for the day of the dead festival hence why I was searching for a Sofitel video as like yourselves we will stay 1 night park for maybe 10 nights much easier . Cheers and sorry to go on lol but I love to talk travel cheers guys . Ps wonderful hotel
There is nothing wrong with being excited for travel day, Charlie is crazy about it 🤣 I pretend I'm not that fussed in comparison but I love it too really. Really appreciate your kind words have a great time in Mexico!

Great vlog. Did you leave your car in the Sofitel car park for the period of your holiday?
Hi Ron, yep the car was left safe & sound in the hotel car park. We recommend!

It's what I'm considering for next year, when we will probably stay at the Sofitel for the night before our flight, and also the day that we return. Yours is the only video I've actually seen showing the descent into the car park. How much space is down there? I know the reservations staff will always claim there will be plenty of spaces, but wanted an opinion from someone who has actually used it! ;-)
@@darkdesire54 Hiya Ron, you’re more than welcome. We managed to park almost immediately after pulling into the car park which I suppose suggests there are a many spare spaces! Because of this, we don’t actually know how big the car park is haha. Have the best holiday & thanks so much for your engagement
I'm on my 30th stay in 10 years in a couple of weeks time, so I'm expecting a wing to be named after me lol. The Sofitel T5 is so convenient for Heathrow T5, and I'm lucky to have status, so I receive free room upgrades, early check in late check out, welcome drink, lounge access and a free mini bar. The toiletries are now Balmain and are chained to the walls, not that I've ever taken toiletries from a hotel room.

The bag drop isn’t far at all, just across the bridge to the terminal & up a few floors in the lift. Super easy process, definitely recommend. We hope you have the best holiday & hope you stick around for our future content :)
How long did it take to get past security ? How early did u go to the airport?
Security took us about 30mins & we arrived at the airport 2 hours before our flight around 6am
