The whole style and everything about these vids is refreshingly awesome. So cool.
+1 for creativity. I love your short films!
Sweet video. Best face at the end haha, that was a soul piercing stare.
I really appreciate all of your videos I'm learning so much and adding so much to my personal training
Thank you
Thanks buddy... we can make winning fights a little bit lighthearted. It doesn't have to be all destruction!
I really like this channel, Its got a great direction, the humor is great and the tips are good for beginners. Good stuff.
Ive been looking for a good video about distance and range fighting thanks for a good brake down
Thanks Trav. I like the way you incorporate fight science yet break it down to the masses. I tried heading to your website but safari wont let me open the site. Also was referred here by the UG, I'm glad you got exposure. Please keep putting out the excellent videos.
I absolutely love this.
have been watching alot of these videos religiously and despite what less mature, or educated people might say i have a solid belief that his fighting theory and his concepts are well thought out and can be applied efficiently without 20 years of dojo practice thanks trav!
These are great. Subbed
float like smog, sting like gonorehha.
I love all your videos, keep it up.

BONUS Face at the END was AWWWWWSOME!!!
I love the way this channel puts some effort explaining things and adding some of that what-the-fuck moments. Keep it up guys.
Big Lad, that is almost the funniest thing I've ever seen. You're a comedy god. I'll come back to you in 50 years for a fight. And you'll win. Love you, Brother, you excellent human. Best wishes. Big Hug.
awesome video as always. while it is of course important to maintain your ideal range, it can be very difficult. I train in jiu jitsu and kickboxing and sometimes when sparring, my opponent will slip and step in close to a range where I cant really get any power behind my punches. (really need to work on short range/wing chun kinda stuff) however we are also taught judo which is perfect for those situations because it allows you to grab your opponent and either take him down or throw him back where you want him. I think its the most practical mix of martial arts you could do and I am so glad I started talking courses. im still a beginner but it has already made a huge difference. gonna go watch some more of your vids to learn as much as I can!
Thanks Travis
love these
Hey Trav. I'm from Brazil and here we know how to fight very well and usually fights here are destructive. But i fell like even me as a amateur fight think that youre the best fucking teacher i've ever had. Keep on guy you rock
I have switched from orth to southpaw as many greats do. Many don't know that both Floyd Patterson and Tyson, the two youngest Champs in HW boxing history and taught by Costimodo, were left handed and taught to switch for increased lead hand strikes. I like how it allows me to step into my power kicks from this new stance approach as well. Hope that helps a little...
hahhaha love it. we need more videos they are all great!
Subscribed!
subbed you rule dude
overhand punches will work at short distances, straight punches are the science but sometimes wild swings will go outside the vision and work, as illustrated by countless mma knockouts.
Great job , Can you do something on elusive fighting style? Thank you!
Good info. I studied and was instructed in karate in my younger days. At the school I went to there were only white belts and black belts. The black belt was only achieved when the student was ready to fight the sensei, so I'm only a white belt. The winner is the one that walks away from the situation without a fight.
Very good informational videos. Thank you for your time to share your knowledge. Have you trained to fight with a rifle yet? I'd imagine you have.
I have been practicing that quick front kick for a while now
Make a video on how to keep from getting lifted in a fight. like lifted in the air and dropped.
Could you show some throws and wrist lock stuff.. Im interested in a style of mma that you can use for multiple opponents. I assume throwing them and gaining control of one of them to use as a sheild is the way to go when in the thick of things..
Do you have any conditioning videos for increasing endurance and stamina? I would love to get back into "boxing shape" and maintain that high level condition.
Hey Trav, could you do a vid where you do mma vs wing chung.
Being 5'7 or 5'8 was okay until he said "the short guy fighting game" :c
well...to him that's considered short....don't be so easily offended...
The fight scene at the end was too hilarious when your friend Casey was charging and started screaming like a woman.
I have to say, I really enjoy all of your videos, kind of like an idiots guide to fighting... I've been thinking about making funny but super useful HOW TO NOT SUCK AS A BOUNCER videos... I should link you for the basic "Make sure you don't get your ass kicked" section lol. Do you have an MMA record? Interested in your background... Again, great videos my friend
I'm 10 years old and pepole are usually bullying me in school im glad to know how to fight now thx for the vid!!!
Nice video. Do you think you could do one on the shorter mans point of view on how he would do better in a street fight say against someone like you who is over 6 feet?
not only do you learn something but hey you get to laugh you nuts off simultaneously hahaha well done Trav!
nice
Great video/s Trav - thanks.
I've just introduced my daughter to mma, she wants to know how you would take on a grizzly bear... I tried to explain that would be a tough call, (she's nearly four years old), so in order to give you a chance she said to imagine that the bear has a sore paw.
Lastly, if GWB and Bill Clinton were to have a fight, who do you think would win? What strategy would best ensure this outcome?
Thanks :)
bloody hilarous
Muito bom , mais seria melhor traduzido com legenda em portugues .
Parabens
A question for you sir, i'm right handed, but I notice my left arm is quite shorter than my right arm. should I fight south paw for the extra reach and power with the jab, or should I keep orthodox and keep the power with the back hand?
I can't find your video about head movement, slipping punches. Do you have a link?
4:52 that was awesome
Why aren't you recording in better quality? 360p is awful, but videos awesome ;) I have just subscribed your channel ;] Now i am waiting for any streetfight xD
the "ridiculous segment" is downright hilarious
Ha... 99% of people don't even make it that far into the video. It's a hidden gem
How is this ridiculous when knowing rage and distance is one of the keys to win a fight
hahaha ur very funny xD
keep up the good job!
In summary: practice long strikes, long strikes are (according to physics) more powerful, stay out of someone's striking distance until it's time to strike. There's a cool fight scene at the end.
im 5 4 and need some workouts to help me get in the pocket a lil quicker ,,any suggestions??
i'm 5'8-9 and powerful at my size which would lead me well for grappling, but grappling in a street fight is a no no. basically head movement and fast jabs to get inside then unload.
Can u teach how to fight with a shoulder injury ???
dude what you teach anderson silva applies so perfectly in all of his matches do you fight for ufc ???
Lol! The demo cracked me up
What if the catch your leg and flip you? How do you avoid your leg being caught?
is there a way to tell if a guy knows how to kick by his stance?
I'm on someone else's CZcams account but is there a way u can get one of the fight smart shirts
lol Casey is brilliant
what is the short guy style?
The leverage explanation is nice but it has nothing to do with punching/ striking, leverage and torque is everything for holds but not for punching/kicking/kneeing whatever. About the speed that part is true, the farther the faster. It works for arms and legs, it works better for legs because arms are shorter and the difference isn't that much, however for kicks the farther you hit with your leg the better. Look at crocop's roundhouse kicks if you want to see.
thanks joe from family guy
How can you avoid getting tackled I saw my friend who was about to get tackled avoided it and the guy missed.
closing the distance by passing the "critical zone" of your opponent, so you cut off his advantages. i´m pretty short myself (about 5 ft 7) and i faught bigger dudes alot.... they mostly reported, that it was kinda tricky to properly reach down at me, when i got close in.
so, this would propably do the trick:
taking the one advantage, the big guy has.
i get tripped up when i try to "exit" how do i fix that?
I tried to sign up for the site and every time I try to log in it brings me to wordpress and says login error
Went to his website and read the whole of homepage in Travs voice... I think you have a new fanboy :/
can i get one of those shrit smart fight shrit
cristal clear baby
2:14 Work = Force x Distance x Cos(angle)
I want learn how to fight good!
i want you to train me!!!!
when you enter you push off your back foot when exiting you push off your front foot.
Once Im in I'm not stepping back. Any distance created will be made by the opponent moving back and that wont last long. Once I'm in I have all kinds of options and weopons. What he is saying is not wrong. It's just not my way. As you get older you have to figure on quick and lethal because you don't have the gas to last.
Im not afraid to fight when people fight they grt that nerves thing in them and how you lose that is by fighting and then you get use to it
What name did you fight under?
That can be done with guys that have the same height of Big Show or Kevin Nash? rs
That guy at 5:40 I about pissed myself
Just watch the bobbing and weaving videos, where he teaches you how to weave/slip inside you opponent and weave/slip away from your opponent.
tried it and won with one blow
my fighting style is more brutish I am 6 foot one and I get close and get hit so many times but I still get the guy I am targetting
hahahahahahahahahaaha awesome! you can learn a lot a laught a lot at the same time :D
Closed caption ?
Can use google translate /:
I think my slingshot would be a better and more lethal option...
never mind I got it
The Anderson Spider Silva mistake in UFC 162?
