Pingshan, Sanxi Village | Meditative Short Video

Sanxi village (三溪村) is a historical village full of traditional culture in Changle, Fuzhou (福州市，长乐区). It is most famous for it's amazing dragon boat festival celebrations. However, in this video I focused on the Pingshan (屏山) area just behind the main village. Pingshan has a lot of historical, religious and cultural relics, especially related to Buddhism. These include the thousand year old Chaoyuan Guan Santai Temple (朝元观三台庵), the giant Maitreya statue (欢喜佛/弥勒佛), the five-hundred arhats rock carvings (五百罗汉群) and the giant Tathagata statue (如来佛).
